I bought a pair of these with the orange trim. Within two weeks the loop at the back of the boot - to help you pull it on - had torn off. Worse than that though was the discomfort when walking for more than an hour or so. The boots cut in at the side of my foot causing a blister. At that stage I would have binned them if I hadn't paid so much. However, the material softened after 12 months and now they are useable for very long walks without any bother. My wife bought a pair of boots at the same time (four years ago) and they are worn out and leaking. The Meindls by comparison still don't leak even when walking through standing water and are extremely comfortable.
