This is one of the smaller Technic kits, coming in at 145 pieces. The size makes it a great introduction to these kits as it can be completed in an afternoon but still has all the working parts you can expect from Technic Lego. The finished model is about 7 inches in length for the twin rotor helicopter and although the model building is a little fiddly in places it will take about no more than a couple of hours to build. There are a lot of the blue, red and grey joint pieces as well a couple of specialized blocks. The number of stickers are well used and kept to a minimum.Suitable for adult and older children lego fans looking to fill an afternoon or want to try the technical range.Warning -a lot of small parts.

This is a great introduction to Technic Lego and was a huge hit with my 7 year old son. He bought it with a few weeks pocket money and has made the A model twice and the also diagrammed B model once. I think the fascination comes from both rotors being on the same drive-shaft with a simple gearbox to change rotor direction, just like on a real twin rotor helicopter. The model is also very sturdy when made. This is a great value set and has a lot more Lego than equivalent priced Chima or Star Wars both of which my son usually buys.

This is what you buy if you wish the mechanics of working machines be inscribed deeply into the unconscious brain of your child. He will be spontaneously knowing how things work when he sees them in real. It even amazes me how he could singlehandedly build it; it always feels well above his capabilities when you look at the instructions.. untill you see it finished.. God! I didn't know my kid is an engineer!

Really excellent! I'm a 24 year old man, and I put this together in about 45 minutes. The twin rotor mechanism is really clever, and parts like the front wheels and the rear door are really clever. I'm definitely going to be ordering more Technic sets in the future. My only annoyance was trying to get the stickers to line up properly, especially as once they're on, you can't peel them back off.

Bought this for my 80-year-old father-in-law who has early dementia because he has always liked to tinker with mechanical things and automobiles. I thought it would be good mental exercise and engage his hands and mind in coordinated activity. Unfortunately, he didn't really give this a try. Maybe he thought it was too much of a "kid" item. Too bad, really.

A fairly small Technic but enjoyable to put together, my son is 9 & this is his first Technic. Like most kids he gets bored after 30 minutes of anything so this took a couple of hours for him to put together after going back to it several times. It's not the biggest piece of lego, but what would you expect for £15

Age on the box is advertised for reason, it is indeed for older kids. My 5 year old son is fan of Lego City, Technic was a bit too complicated for him. With help he finished it and loves it. Rotor blades system is very smart and I believe it is very good way to show kids what can be achieved with mechanics.

This was a fantastic reintroduction to Lego after a 25 year break. Loved the technics, very therapeutic and have already ordered a more complex set to keep me going. I think this will be a new lifelong hobby for me. Can’t recommend it enough. Bonus is the helicopter is my 5 year olds new favourite toy!

Bought this for my 11 year old grandson who s a whizz at Lego building. Usually he breezes through construction in a few minutes, but this one took him over 3 hours to build. A great challenging model for the older child! I will buy more of the Lego Technic in future.

I was disappointed by the size of this item as it was for my grandson's birthday and looked very insignificant however I think he was pleased with it he is a very clever 8 year old and has no doubt built it in a very short time

Great toy and different than all the other Lego items. I prefer getting the Technic line for older kids as it's a little more in depth and feels more advanced--though I think mature, younger children could also enjoy this toy.

It's a small technic set but fun to build. My 8yr old enjoyed building it. Doesn't take too long and is an easy build. I would recommend this as one of the starter set if u are getting into technics

I chose this as my nephew likes the Technic lego range. It was brought for my niece and as she hasn't used Technic before I chose something not too complicated. Good for first time users

On arrival the box was tiny so I was a little disappointed as it was a present. However, the recipient loves it and is very pleased with this product. I would buy more of this product.

Lego is always a winner for birthday gifts and this is no different. A really good kit for an older or more advance lego builder. Nice sized box so looks like a decent gift.
