It is a very long time since I have built with Lego but seeing as the chances of getting even a mini-break in 2020 are slim to none I made the decision to splurge what we would likely have spent on going away on some fun hobby stuff. I am still overly obsessed with Harry Potter and this kit has been catching my eye at local stores and online for about 18 months now.Yes, the price seems high but when you look at the quality of a Lego set you start to understand why. Not only is the engineering behind the design impeccable but the bricks themselves slot together securely, are richly coloured and have limitless uses.Building itself is a great deal of fun and the instructions are in a handy booklet with step by step images. The bricks come in numbered bags which correspond to each step in the booklet so you don't have 400+ pieces scattered around whilst you build. This also makes it much easier to segregate the pieces by type and colour and there is a large amount of variation in the pieces needed to create the Knight Bus.There is a large amount of play value with this set. The most impressive thing for me was the way one side of the bus itself is hinged so you can open it up and access the inside to place your figures. The roof of the bus also lifts off to give access to the top deck. Stability overall was very good, I did play with it for a little while and didn't have issues with pieces dropping off as I played. This is probably due to the fairly basic rectangular structure but that is ultimately what a bus is.The only thing is I would have liked it to be maybe a little wider as it is a little "snug" to get the figures in.Total Pieces: 403Approximate Cost per piece: £0.09Build Time: 1.5 Hours

Very impressive set. Perhaps slightly smaller than I expected but easy to follow instructions, took me just over an hour. This new Harry Potter range seems to have slightly more detail than initial sets released a while back. This one is a little more in the affordable range and is a good starter set to begin with if its your first purchase. My 5 year old niece is Harry Potter mad at the minute. She was very keen and excited to get this assembled and it’s been great at teaching her patience and problem solving skills. She’s a little too young to assemble it herself but she assisted me with encouragement and direction. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for younger fans due to the aforementioned reasons. She does tend to count female characters amongst her favourites but I solved this by purchasing a Hermione Lego figure separately. The good thing is most of the most popular characters from Harry Potter are available to purchase as a Lego figure (approx £3 each) if there is anyone besides Harry you would really like. Once assembled this set is a fully playable moving bus and my niece is still loving playing with it now I’ve assembled it for her. No doubt she’ll want other Harry Potter sets when she sees them. The marketing of these sets is very appealing and the sets do not disappoint.

As a experienced builder, I was pleasantly surprised that the build is a more exciting than it looks (I was worried the build would be 90% windows). Attention to detail is excellent and the final product looks incredibly like the one in the movies (seriously, pull up some pictures and compare the two). The techniques aren’t super fancy, but there are some angled windows and the front section of the bus is attached using bricks with studs on the sides. The curves along the top of the roof look nice without any major gaps. Details are all stickers, not printed parts, but that’s to be expected in a smaller set. The minifigures are all fairly detailed and look accurate to their appearances in the movies. The bus also comes with plenty of play features for younger fans, including a swinging chandelier, removable roof, bed that slides back and forth and can fit a minifigure, and a wall that swings open to allow interior access. The only way I think the set could be improved would be the inclusion of Sirius Black as his dog animagus. Overall, I’d say that this set would be a great choice for both younger fans that will be playing with it and adult collectors that want it to look nice. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality Harry Potter set that isn’t too expensive.

The bus is super easy to assemble, and took me about 2 ish hours (or one Harry Potter film). You receive 3 bags, and a bag of extra bits, which means that you complete bag 1 before moving onto bag 2 etc. The instruction booklet is easy to follow with bright, coloured pictures. There's lots of added accessories that come with the Knight Bus, which I wasn't expecting, like Harry Potter's Hogwarts letter and the newspaper report of Sirius Black's escape from Azkaban. You can open up the side and take off the top of the Knight Bus too, so it's perfect for playing with kids (though mine is mainly a display piece!). One of the coolest features for me is that the chandelier and the bed move and slide around inside the bus,so it looks like they're moving along with the motion. There's even the shrunken head! I love the Knight Bus, and I'm so happy to add this beautiful LEGO to my collection. Not all LEGO appeals to me (although I am eyeing up the Quidditch pitch and, let's face it, who wouldn't want the entire Hogwarts castle?!) but this one definitely does and I think LEGO have done a really good job.

The 'Harry Potter Lego Knight Bus' is hours of fun; for children and adults alike. It's a pleasure to build and great to play with, but also looks stunning, so is perfect if you just want to display it proudly on your shelf or mantlepiece. As you would expect from Lego, the assembly instructions are easy to follow but strike just the right balance between complexity and ease of assembly. With over 400 pieces - some of which are quite small and fiddly - this is a fairly challenging build, which to my mind only adds to the fun and will keep little hands (and big hands) busy for a good hour or more. And again, as you would expect from Lego, the build quality is excellent.Lots of thought has gone into making the bus interactive, with its side opening cross section and lift off top deck. It also features stickers to attach to the Lego bricks, and nice little details, like the sliding bed and swinging chandelier. And despite it's small size and top-heavy, triple decker design, it's also pretty stable and robust enough to survive being driven around the house and crashed into the occasional wall!

This is the third set from the Lego Wizarding World 2019 releases that represents a scene from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It features three minifigures: Harry Potter, Stanley Shunpike (the Knight Bus conductor), and Ernest Prang (the Knight Bus driver). The model bus can be opened in two ways; the roof panel can be removed from the top deck area, the complete top deck can also be removed, allowing a side panel on the bus to swing open for full access. Interior accessories include a shrunken head and a chandelier that swings as the bus moves, a bed also slides back and forth, additional accessories include a newspaper, and Harry Potter's luggage chest containing a letter,a potion bottle, a wand, and a bar of chocolate. Set 75957 has 403 pieces, and is the only 2019 Lego Harry Potter set with a £34.99 price tag, making it a little on the expensive side, but when considering value for money, it's a quite reasonably priced stand-alone set which doesn't necessarily require further purchases to expand its entertainment value. Overall, highly recommended for fans or collectors.

I was actually shocked at how quickly I managed to put this set together. As it's mostly all the same colour (purple), it's quick and easy, and I didn't have any difficulties with it at all. It's also fairly compact, if you don't have much space, this will sit nicely in front of Diagon Alley for example. This comes with three characters, another Harry Potter (in a slightly different outfit to the Diagon Alley set), Stan Shunpike and Ernie Prang. Hedwig can also be put in the bus somewhere and a shrunken head hangs from the bus driver seat.My minor quibble with this is the windows aren't necessarily quite as see through as I would expect, and it's quite hard to see what is inside. There's also not much inside, and not many seats for characters to sit in, if you're wanting to use it as a play set (rather than as a display set like me).I would definitely recommend getting this set, as it's quick and easy, and not difficult in the slightest. Worthwhile getting.

Excellent Lego set with lots of purple pieces! Bought this as really wanted a knight bus lego set. This is the best of all knight bus releases with the most realistic exterior detailsPros:- Highly detailed (lovely chandelier, moving shrunken head) and challenging varied build-Enjoyable build in 3 layers which comes together nicely- Easy to play for children as side of bus opens allowing interior access and can take top floor off-Looks great as collector piece- Minifigures are great with Ernie the driver being more realistic than before-AMAZING SHRUNKEN HEAD PIECE!Cons:- Not much space to stand minifigs in the bus-Quite a compact build but this can be seen as a pro and conOverall a highly-recommended excellent quality lego set with great play features. When the bus moves, the chandelier, bed and shrunken head all sway! Really happy with the purchase. Get it before stocks run out or prices sky rocket as with all retired lego sets

I cannot score this set highly enough. Im a huge Potterhead and i love this lego set. As soon as it arrived i opened it up and didnt stop until i completed it. Ive no idea how long it took, i was totally absorbed in building it. Im old and have a degree so im not daft but it was certainly as buildable as other lego sets ive experienced. The bus makes a fab toy to play with (if your not a miserable old goth like me) it opens up, has plenty of play value, moving beds, swinging lights, Harrys chest, some other little bits and pieces, the top comes off, the side opens up, includes bus driver and conductor and the shrunken head!Id recommend this to all Potterheads, especially those who like lego and building models,as its lego it will work will all other lego pieces and models. Its a gorgeous purple colour (like the knight bus obvs).Buy this, its awesome!

I played with Lego's as a kid (1960's), and as a parent with my kids. I have been diagnosed with Parkinsons and have at hand tremor which at times severely effects my ability to do the simplest of tasks using my hands. My wife thought building models with Lego might help me maintain my fine motor skills. I was somewhat apprehensive about trying this because of my hand tremors. Well .... this was GREAT! I thoroughly enjoyed assembling the model. I love the detail and the creativity of the build. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. When the tremors prevented me from assembling, I just took break. Thank you for allowing me to rediscover my (childhood) love for model building, and allowing me to (in a way) beat Parkinsons. It has small parts so be sure to follow age recommendations if you buy this for a kid or small kids will be around this.

I have just compared the three lego Harry Potter sets - Hungarian Horntail(currently £29.99), Night Bus (currently (£34.99) and Hagrid's Hut (currently £49.99).Of the three the Night Bus is my favourite, although it's not the most expensive. Sure, the pieces are somewhat uniform but they are fun to put together, with enough to do to be interesting without becoming frustrating or tedious. Once completed in line with the instructions, the bus is really smart. It's on the expensive side but not bad value by Lego standards and you have to remember they probably had to pay horrific royalties to the book or the film, if not both.As an aside, an expert on the Harry Potter movies informs me that this set is identical to one released round about 2003 /2004.

After deciding whether to buy this set for a few weeks, I finally gave in and bought it as I liked the look of the features, such as the swinging chandelier and swivel drivers seat, to name a few, which Lego have cleverly depicted from the film. Overall, I found this set fun to build and well worth the money, although it seemed like it was going to be bigger due to the packaging, which was deceiving. I found the bottom deck was the most challenging to build, but it provides space for Harry’s chest or bed. Previously I had bought two of the new Harry Potter series 2 Mini figures, and I plan to buy two more of the red seats to sit them on the third deck as there is space to do so.Would recommend to any Harry Potter fan! :)

This is a great kit for fans of Lego and Harry Potter alike. The Knight Bus is the famous three layer bus. It has a side opening and a removable roof. Inside is a sliding bed and a swinging chandelier. The kit comes with mini-figures of Harry, Stan Shunpike and Ernie Prang. There is also Harry's chest with a wand, letter, bar of chocolate and a potion bottle.I am not particularly adept with Lego and I have to confess it took me ages to assemble the 400+ pieces. A child with experience of Lego would have done it much more quickly. However once completed it looked great and grandson loves to play with it.(He is just getting to know Harry Potter.)Now he is asking about other Harry Potter kits.....

It was a fun build, albeit a tad repetitive. I like the way the bus drivers seat swings round, it's a neat idea! One minor issue - the window glass all had some wee writing at the bottom (or the top!) I ended up putting them all at the bottom - in the location you see the 'break this window in an emergency' label in a bus. I'd not seen (?not spotted!) that writing on windows before - is it something new?Would have been good to have had the bottom deck a tiny bit deeper, so Stan could stand on the platform, rather than having to hang off it; otherwise there's not much space for him, by the time the bed is in use (unless he sleeps on the floor upstairs, avoiding Harry's trunk :( Poor Stan

This is one of the best Lego sets I have ever seen. I guess part of that is that I am a big Harry Potter fan so watching my nephew put this together with all of the funny little additions like the shrunken head was wonderful! The colours on this are fantastic with the bus being really bright purple gives this real powerful visual appealOnce put together this does look like a real bus rather than the usual Lego block cars/trucks etc, and everything links in of course to the all time favourite Harry Potter movie. This was slightly smaller than I was expecting but nevertheless has real appeal and my nephew played with this for hours, and proudly told me that this was the best Lego ever!
