I bought this for myself, and it is sort of my dad’s fault that I did. He got himself a Meccano kit a couple of years ago but has never got on with it, and I jokingly said that one day I will have to get him a Lego kit. When I saw the Ford Fiesta M-Sport WRC I got him that, which he really enjoyed building, and he then bought himself the Ferrari 488 GT ‘Scuderia Corsa’. Actually, seeing the cars made up I felt a bit left out, but when I saw this McLaren Senna, I just knew that I had to buy it.This is for seven years and up and has 219 pieces, as well as a number of stickers to attach to the vehicle. Of course, and with any Lego set the instructions are clear, although the stickers can be a bit fiddly to put on if you want them straight. You get the vehicle with this set, the racing minifigure, with helmet and visor, a spanner for him to hold, and two different sets of rims for the wheels. Also here you get the wind turbine for a wind tunnel, which does have a knob at the rear so that you can turn it easily.I personally have placed the figure in the car as due to my age I am not going to crawl around the floor to play with this, and so this is just for display purposes. I don’t know about my dad; he could very well be crawling around the floor racing his two models.I must admit that I enjoyed building this, and it does look like what it should be and is well enough built to play with, or if you are older like myself, to display. All I need is someone to let me loose in a real one of these, which I promise to be careful with, and also to abide the 20 MPH limit around where I live (fingers crossed).

This was a great build. Very nicely detailed although that does mean a lot of tiny pieces but, even worse, a heck of a lot of stickers. My sticker game is extremely weak but I persevered as they really add something to the finished model and I'm glad I did as I think it looks really great built up. Not too sure about the grey colour but it does mean the orange trim really pops. The inclusion of the wind tunnel turbine is a fun addition and the fan really turns which is nice for playing. Plays like a standard mini car and seems reasonably sturdy. although I did only push it around the table making strange "brmm, brmm" noises. Yes,I know I'm supposedly an adult but why stop playing and having fun?Number Of Pieces: 219Approximate Price Per Piece: £0.06Build Time: 1 Hour

This product was just the right challenge level for my avid Lego fan son, who normally masters all kits in 5 minutes flat, so it was great to see he had to apply himself a little more with this. While it made him think a bit more, he still managed it with ease and the sense of joy and satisfaction he gets when he's assembled an item is a great learning curve for applying himself to tasks. The car itself looks fantastic finished and I'm told from a really reliable source it is "one of the best Lego sets EVER" and "even the wheels roll really smoothly"! "Best-Mom" kudos for a whole week!

Having built almost all kits from the Speed Champions lines through the past 4 years. I would have to say this is definitely the best car I have built so far!!!Whilst the model does not perfectly characterize all the major lines and curves of the real McLaren Senna; the finish result is still a sight to behold. As for the build it incorporates loads of interesting and creative building techniques that I have never seen before. Truly an innovative masterpiece. If I were to recommend a single kit from this 2019 Speed Champions line: it would be this one!

I greatly enjoyed this build. I paid 12.99 GBP for the model. Lego does not have the capability to duplicate the rounded flanks of supercars, but the model is an interesting shape in itself, and the nearest I shall ever come to owning an 850 000 GBP vehicle. The 6 stud wide form of Speed Champions means that the driver sits in the middle, which is annoying. I had too many orange 1 x 1 plates and too few dark bluish grey ones, so have now to wait 4 or 5 days for replacements to come from Lego.

This is a very attractive set with some cool pieces and interesting ways of putting parts together. However, the first thing I noticed when building it is that it felt very narrow. The vehicle it's modeled after is a 2 seater not a single seat, and comparing the final model to the real car's photo. It also has a lot of stickers, which are nice thin and clear ones, but they'd be so much nicer as a stamped graphic. I'm guessing that McLaren wanted their logos everywhere.

My grandson (5) has a sophisticated knowledge of racing cars and likes Lego, so this accurate model was a hit. It was difficult to put together but he and his dad spent about an hour working on it, which they both enjoyed. It does need careful looking after as the tiny bits on it fall off and can get lost - best to put the assembled model on a high shelf or keep it in a plastic bag when not being played with. The bits could easily get lost.

Even it looks different from the actual McLaren Senna and its proportion is elongated back and forth, but it's definitely a cool futuristic racing LEGO car in its own way. I guess it is not suitable for young children as there are many small parts and stickers. Moreover, parts of bumpers, the spoiler and the front windshield are easily detached compared with LEGO Ferrari F40 75890.I would recommend it for teenagers and adults.

I was quite surprised to see how some of the areas of the car are put together, very clever areas on the cockpit and rear. Didn't think the lego set was close to the real car at first but I have changed my mind, there are loads of cool details. The building process was highly enjoyable and I'm glad to add this car to my Lego Speed Champions collection.

Bought for my son's birthday (age 14). He asked for this specifically due to playing Forza 4, which has a lego edition on it. This is the car to have in the Lego version. As he doesnt normally bother with Lego anymore, it's nice that he still likes the more grown up kits like these. It likely won't be played with as he'll put it on display in his room.

I love Speed Champions and this one is great. It’s pretty easy and quick to build if you follow the instructions and I think the model looks great at such a small scale. The addition of a wind testing tunnel introduces an important aspect of supercar development and of course the driver minifig with his spanner looks cool.

I've not yet built the Lego McLaren Senna but having read through the instruction booklet, it looks of good design and construction. I have used are the pieces it comes with when building My Own Creation - a LEGO MOC. Bought a second to build because I'm really interested in actually making this excellent little model.5*

It was a joy to build. The model is very detailed and contains a lot of small pieces. Its definitely the most detailed and challenging car I've built so far. There's plenty of unique pieces and surprising build techniques which add to the pleasure of building. A great price for the design. I bought another as a gift.

We bought this on an offer (under £7) and have to say it was fabulous value. My son Collects these Speed Champions and it kept him quiet for almost an hour (he’s only 6). It comes with the car itself and a fan to assemble, and the mini figure is nice too. All in all, really pleased especially with the price

This was a birthday gift for an 8 year old boy. He loves Lego and this was right up his street. A standard Lego gift which gives the child skills on following instructions from diagrams. They also get to add it their ever growing Lego set. Would recommend for this age range and good value for money
