I am terrible at breaking kits down and from looking at the box I just knew that I would want to build all 3 of the underwater creatures included in this pack so bought 3. Before opening them I presumed the additional builds would be downloadable instructions from the Lego website so went to download them. This led me to find out that there was a "secret" fourth build of the Whale. Fortunately the outlet where I purchased this kit still had one left so I snapped that up so I could build all 4. Yes, I am aware this is an ADDICTION!On opening the packs I discovered that the pack comes with separate instruction booklets for the Shark, the Squid and the Angler Fish.

There's literally nothing to knock about this set. It's everything a LEGO set should be. It's good value, with not just lots of parts, but also some quite unusual and useful ones too. The building techniques a varied, and at times, rather clever (the so very characteristic eyes of the shark for example).The three official builds are all excellent, and the hidden online-only one (a sperm whale) is, if anything, even better! This is one of those kits where buying additional copies makes sense, simply because each build is so charming you're probably going to want to keep them around. All too often, the secondary builds feel tacked-on and kinda 'meh' compared with the primary build,

Deep Sea Creatures, Set 31088, 230 pieces. This set is simply amazing in so many ways that I can not write everything I love about it. So I will keep it simple and let the pictures speak for me. I took the pictures of what I was able to make with some extra pieces that I had.In the set you have instructions for 3 different builds, as well as a additional 4th that you can down load from LEGO. Shark, Crab, Whale, Squids and Deep Sea Fishes are just the start on what you can build. When I finished the set I had so many ideas for displays.This set is perfect for the beginner as well as Master Builders,

I was actually shocked with the details of this build, as well as how they brought the ocean creatures to life in this set. The shark was especially impressive, both in movement and complexity. The crab is really cute! The way the legs and pinchers are attached is interesting. I would love to see more builds using that technique. The treasure chest has a hinge brick which allows you to place it on its side, making it look as though it was knocked over. After building, my daughter especially hand fun playing with (and taunting others with) the shark; moving the fins, mouth, etc. I recommend this set for boys and girls,

Simly fantastic. The design of this set is superb. I built each of the four configurations of this set. With ease, I can say the shark is the best - my favorite. The detail of the eyes is very clever. The anglerfish is also very well done. The jaws of the anglerfish surprisingly open very wide. The whale, while a great design, feels like a baby whale per its size. The squid was my least favorite but that was due to the lack of articulation due to the amount and type of pieces available to this set. That said, it could easily be upgraded. Overall, an amazing set. So much so that I went out of my way to create an account to leave a review. I'd love a part two to the 3-in-1 Deep Sea Creatures.

My son loves legos and is obsessed with marine life; so this was a good set for him. He really enjoyed the different characters. This was a good set to put together. Nice clear instructions and easy to follow. The movable ball joint that makes the shark bend in the middle is nice. My son likes making the shark go and eat his mini-figures, so if that is the kind of thing you're child enjoys, he/she is in for a treat.these figures looked really nice when they were made and they weren't so fragile that they fell apart with imaginative play like some of the lego creations do. My son likes to do pretend games and they worked really well for that.

Bought this on offer for my son. The kit goes together really nicely, I love how LEGO have put this model together. I hav not enjoyed LEGO this much in a long time. The finished model (in the shark mode) is sturdy enough for playing with without having to fix it every few minutes. My nearly 4 year old helped with some of the building and loved the finished product. There are some very small parts, but my boy has shown no interest in eating small parts on other kits he has disassembled for me, so we were happy with close supervision. I like this kit so much I nearly bought a second one!

Quiite a small set but perfect for a rainy afternoon and good for wee ones (I would suggest 6 years +) if they have relatively little patience to complete as perhaps one of the easier sets. This set creates an angler fish, squid, or shark and also a small crab or little fish but always with Lego, options are endless..Download available to see others. Usual great quality and creativity. Ideal present or wee treat for the avid young lego enthusiast. The angler fish is particularly impressive!

Good designsAn extra (secret) lego build online which makes 4 items to create but its also worth the normal price just for the 3 designsGood sizesKeeps little (and big) hands and minds active in a fun way again and again.Small enough to not get bored quickly but also with there being 3 (4) designs to do you can take it all apart again and make the others if you want to keep building or just play for a while with the first one you built.Have and will buy more designs in this range.

My kids love Lego and they really love the 3 in 1 collection as they can build different things rather than being stuck with only one thing to build. This is really great the shark actually does look good with its moving mouth. Its also pretty easy to assemble and although it says age 7 a child younger who is used to Lego will have no problems with this at all. Cant complain at all about this I really dont find anything to fault with it and seeing as it is often on sale its another bonus.

Once again Lego have amazed me with their attention to detail, not only do the characters look like the creatures the are supposed to be but they still look cartoony enough to appeal to the kids.Playing with this set bought back great memories of my childhood even though the design is still the same yet it seems to still be current and new.Well done Lego.This set is a 3 in 1 set which gives you the option of making three different sets of characters (Not all at the same time)

I ordered the Lego Creator 3 in 1 set for my eight year old daughter but the whole family including my teenage sons were involved. The product was well packaged with three sperate booklets showcasing the three different creatures. My daughter was able to follow the instructions which were illustrated in a clear and simple manner. After we finished building the creatures in the booklet, we started to make our own inventions with the Legoes. I would highly recommend this product.

I bought this for my 7 year old nephew as a gift and he absolutely loves it. He built the crab within a few moments of opening the box and told me he loved it because he can make jaws and the Angler Fish from finding Nemo. He went about for hours with the shark and the jaws theme tune on in the background attacking all his Lego boats. The creator sets can sometimes be quite bulky but this one isn’t. It’s definitely worth the money and I highly recommend the set.

Nice looking ornamental set and a good build. Interesting techniques used to complete the design. The crab, while out of scale, is comical looking but that adds to the charm of the set.My only gripe is the colour. Can't remember the last time I saw a shark this blue.Now if they had used sand blue bricks it would have got 5 stars from me. My son wanted to swap out the brick colour but we didn't have enough in sand blue of all the types required.

I LOVED the shark portion of the build, because I love sharks, but the build that I found most enjoyable was the anglerfish. Some of the pieces will fluoresce under actinic/UV light, allowing builders a unique and spooky experience for a vignette display. The blurry pics are on purpose, to simulate the deep oceans. I used a single 390nm LED to light the display, and both figures are supported by the post pieces from the Street lights XTRAS pack.
