If like me you are forever playing Lego tap-dance in your kids bedroom, then this is what you need. I'll take you on a journey... about a year ago I made the mistake of whilst watching the Lego movie, saying "A Lego City would be amazing" Don't ever say that in front of a 9 year old, because it then becomes their one man mission. Inevitably what this actually leads to is a lot of small lego pieces strewn across the corner of his bedroom, in no way resembling a city. I mean, where's the infrastructure planning? He certainly has a long way to go before calling himself an architect.... anyway I digress. This base plate was the saving grace, fixing all the debris down,

My entire family adores Lego and large baseplates seem to come in short supply with many of the lego sets. Being able to purchase these good sized baseplates is great for kids who love to build and save what they've made. They are ideal for building houses and other buildings or just for using as grass in imaginative play. I have found Lego to be excellent for my 5 year olds fine motor skills and has really helped his imagination too.This was excellent value when I purchased it and he absolutely loves having a larger platform on which to build, definitely recommended.

These are great when building houses or creating displays for your Lego but I have knocked a star off for each stat as they are not as sturdy or durable as they were when I was younger and I think the RRP should be £5.£8 is a little steep which is why I only buy on offer.Kids have a few of these now and when they put 4 together and build a large house they have to be careful lifting it as the boards aren't very strong if not supported in the centre.Still a great buy for Lego lovers

Our boys love to just build lego - all sorts of buildings/scenes. They have great imaginations and can fill a series of these quite happily and then play with their creations for days.I always stick with original lego brand boards these days. We have had some "fake" lego brands in the past, but we have found that they just don't click together and hold as well as the originals.

I bought this for my 3 year old son who has recently started to play with Lego. Pros: Big enough for my son to build a decent sized Lego house. The base plate also works with most of his Duplo bricks. Cons: These new base plates are far thinner than the ones I remember from the 80s and 90s and they bend a little when you pick them up, not ideal for transporting large projects.

5 year old grandson got upset because he did not have a green lego base that he could use for his dinosaurs as older brother had them. Got really upset when we were Facetiming and did not want the grey one. So nanny had to send him one - spoke to him the next afternoon and was really happy - best nanny ever - was the comment from him. Happy little boy.

i have bought this together with a large LEGO construction set- this base can be used to fit your LEGO constructions.I have read previous reviews and I was realistically expecting this to be quite thin; so , when I received it, I was not disappointed because of it. But it really doesn't matter as you will keep this on the floor/table anyway...

Used as a base for creations, this is the same as it has always been, though the shade of green has changed.If you're looking for a plate that can have bricks connected on top and underneath, this is NOT it, and individual brick types are hard to find on Amazon, you may find them elsewhere, or use LEGOs own 'pick a brick' service.

Difficult to complain about Lego. Incredibly hard-wearing and can be passed from child to child, probably down the generations. The base plates do not flex or bend, remaining robust and supportive even as models are carried around the house and up and down stairs. Indestructible and a key ingredient for free-style play.

This is a Base NOT a plate; Genuine Lego part.Arrived in the correct genuine LEGO packaging.Caution: this is a BASE not a 'plate' so there are Only receptor studs on the top side.(nothing can be attached to the underside, which is a shame.)The base is very thin so only use on a firm surface.

Genuine item and great lego quality as usual. Best bit is i got it for £3.50 on prime day! Amazing price for a amazing item. Note this is a base and hence is thine and flexible but it dose the job if a base fine and has great grip factor as to be expected with all genuine lego bricks.

Bought this for my son, packaging appears original and design. However some of the Lego previously bought doesn’t stick down as well as previous base plates. Nevertheless purchased this for a very good price.If this review was helpful, please click the tab below.Thanks

This is the base I had as a child in the 80s, that's the "thin" type which is a little flexible/bendy that you build on top of.Just what we were missing for a creative Lego box that allows you to build many small projects, so that it can stay in place while played with

Does what it says on the tin. A base for Lego. It's strong, as you would expect from Lego, and gives a good area for building parks or buildings (or chocolate factories, as my son does). It's not enormous but it's big enough for one person to have a good play.

I purchased two plates as I wanted to get them before they were discontinued by Lego themselves. Glad to see they are origainl Lego plates that come in the proper packaging. Just a shame about the £ 6.99 price for one item, should be a bit less.
