Bought this Lego Baseplate (@ Rs 1195/-) couple of weeks ago for my child to use it to create his creations on the plate properly. I initially went looking for the same in the brick & mortar stores - Hamleys, Shopper Stop, WestSide, Saffire Toy store but funnily none of them had with them in stock though they had kept Lego stuff with them. Finally, I picked it up from Amazon when they became available as "Amazon Fulfilled" service.1. The size of the base plate is really big & can accommodate quite a few of the kids creation. Just to give an idea - fits into the big floor tiles but still leaves edges free.2. Mind you the plates are thin & delicate so you have to handle with care.Preferably ask the kids to play on the flat surface (definitely not onthe bed).A must have for Lego players as it assist you in keeping all those small small pieces in one place.

I have used the 5 baseplates that I own about 50 to 100 times, literally. They are so useful to build mosaics (which I build often). I have built mosaics for Sherlock Holmes, Culver's restaurant, Pepsi, Costco, RDO Truck Centers, and many others. They are also useful for building sculptures on.I have built a giant 1 ft. tall x 2 ft. wide Wells Fargo Stagecoach, a 1 and a half Winnie the Pooh and a large chef. The baseplates were very useful for these purposes. Most of my sculptures are made up of 2,000 to 6,000 bricks, so they are very heavy. These keep my things together. Thank you for making these, LEGO!

I collect the Lego mini-figures. Bought a baseplate (grey) to have them in one group. Putting them along the edge was acceptable for most of them, but there were many that did not fit as easily as others, hard to put some of them on the plate because their accessories would become undone from the figure easily. I did display them in ice cube trays until I got to many, and another way was putting them on rulers and then sticking the ruler to the closet and door frame which was cute until I got to many and ran out of frame space. The base is a good place but not perfect.

Baseplates are a must-have for Lego fans. Although the more common green and blue versions are great for building suburbs with lots of houses and lush natural landscapes, the tan and gray versions are necessary for more industrial locales. We use these gray ones in conjunction with the gray patterned street-plates to create giant complexes for our military and futuristic models. On a side note, I love that the Baseplates are labeled for ages "4-99"---thanks, Lego, for officially recognizing that adults of every age love building!

Overall, this Lego baseplate is pretty good. There is just one drawback. The Lego baseplate is not designed to move around. If you have a creation on it, it may bend if you move it. This is because this Lego baseplate and all Lego baseplates are thinner than a single plate. However, this Lego baseplate is at the largest size of all Lego baseplates. This means you can build a larger creation in a single Lego baseplate than a 32x32 Lego baseplate.Buying this Lego baseplate is mostly likely recommended.

Every person who loves Lego should have one of these baseplates. I have bought two of these for my two grandchildren for Christmas this year, as well as other Lego. So many of the Lego kits, Lego Friends etc could do with a big base to build onto so that if they wish to keep the structures they can otherwise I find they can break up and bits get lost. I remember that my two daughters had these and once built a theatre, a stage and seats all on this base. A must have

Good size base plate in a good neutral grey. We have used to make the popular ikea hack of sticking 2 and a half of these to the top of a trofast unit to make a Lego work station which is an expensive outlay but as Lego is a toy the kids will play with for the next 8 years so worth it for the tidyness. The grey looks good and will still look appealing as boys get older. We stuck to table top using double sided carpet tape which has worked well.

I wanted to recreate the lego picture face - which has been successful! The lego shop and legoland was expensive. We already have a large collection I just needed a big base plate! This was perfect. It’s quite flimsy as it’s larger than the regular 36x36 ones. Was also happy with the price. Will buy more for the family portraits!(Pic is just part of the design to show scale and use)

Ordered 2 0f these and there great as usual. But in total reverse of having something with no packaging these were delivered in 2 boxes that were 3x the size of the plate. The delivery driver couldn't believe his eyes when i showed him what was inside we estimated you could get 30 plates in each box easily lol.Good job I'm not to worried about carbon footprint

Walked into the Lego store with the plan of purchasing 2 base plates. (which would eventually be part of my son's DIY LEGO table) But when I seen this BIG guy, I knew he was coming home with us. This is gonna be a great add-on for my son's lego Juniors sets! Hoping they come out with other colors so I can go back for some more.

this set [baseplate] is very useful, in fact VERY BENDY,you would have to put a very large surface under it,here are pros. and mons:PROS.#1. it is very good for building sets on with family#2. good for putting LEGO boxes onMONS.#1. baseplate is so thin and wide it could snap#2. bottom looks very odd [LOL]

The base plate is very large, and is great for building structures and setting up scenes; which is exactly why I bought it. The bottom is flat, so it is thin and flimsy. I didn't plan on stacking it on anything so I'm OK with that. I recommend this to anyone who needs a lot of stud coverage.

This is a good size and it provides a great surface for my grandson to create his various Star Wars montages. It is a little more flexible than I would have liked so it's advisable to make sure everything is secured to the base before trying to lift it (as I've found out the hard way!).

We use a lot of base plates when we create our own ideas. When building a village or Jurassic Park, the base plates are used to hold everything together. Would like to see the large base plates available in green as well to add to the realism in our creations.

These baseplates are a must for display. Keeps buildings and figs locked in place. Lego, if you're listening, we need more colors. White would be at the top of my list ( Frozen, all the winter sets, Star Wars Hoth ). Blue and even black would be great as well.
