Ok...as a Harry Potter fan I was always destined to love this game but it far surpasses anything I expected. I have both the HP games ( years 4-5 and 5-7) on Nintendo DS and loved them but this PlayStation game is sooo much better. It’s the updated version for PS4. So you play through all of Harry’s years at school in line with the films. You collect coins, red and gold bricks and use these to buy characters and increase your abilities. You have a selection of spells to use and lots of death eaters to beat. However you also get to explore Hogwarts. This alone is like the best thing ever for a Potterhead. You can also ride on the Hogwarts express and visit London.

I think we can all agree that Nintendo Switch games are stupidly expensive and considering this is quite an old game, the retail price remains high. Then again, this is the two games in the one cartridge and the price I paid was the cheapest I've found the game anywhere so I shouldn't complain!!I originally bought the Lego Harry Potter games on the Wii for my kids when they first came out. This was in no small way an apology for the fact that my wife and I monopolised the Lego Star Wars game and they didn't get a look-in on that one. Having just purchased the Switch for my wife and myself (the kids have grown and flown), it seemed like an ideal time to re-visit the game and find out why the kids loved it so much.So far we have not been disappointed.

What can I say - if you've played any Lego games and you've seen Harry Potter then you know what to expect. It does not really deviate from the formulae but it is great fun and at the lower price worth it. For kids some seem to be more eager to complete games on the Switch rather than on consoles for some reason.Yes it's still in 2 parts as all the other versions and the engine does seem a bit dated; I was hoping they would just use the assets on the new(er) Lego engines but alas no. Thus less 1 star. It still has glitches you may have encountered in other consoles but at least you can be familiar/search for workarounds. Better than new unknown glitches?

Having played the ps3 version on hp first years a long time ago which I enjoyed I decided to repurchase this on the ps4. The game play is great and is for all ages. Me and my partner play this together and have played the first years to completion so far. As long as you know what your doing it is very easy to complete. It was nice working together to do different spells and problem solving. It's also good playing single player but there is a lot more thinking and changing characters which I found a bit frustrating in the end so I just continued playing when me and my partner had time. The first part took decent amount of time to complete and cover great parts of the hp story which I enjoyed.

As one who loves the books and movies, I knew I would more than likely like this game too, but as someone who doesn't play video games all that much, I was slightly worried that my lack of gaming ability would mean it would get frustrating before too long, but I got the hang of things pretty quick. It's easy enough to keep you wanting to keep playing, but just challenging enough to not feel like you're breezing through it without much effort.I'm -almost- at 100% with the first half, stories 1 though 4, and will begin the second half soon. It's definitely a game I enjoy playing, and exploring the castle and revisiting the parts of the books I loved the first time around.Even if you're not a big gamer,

Bought this game because I played years 1-4 on the DS years ago, and I absolutely adore it, it is so fun and funny and there’s so much to do! I now only play it with my sister together because it is so fun in multiplayer, and we work together to get through the levels. We’ve finished years 1-4 but only 48% of the game done! Still so much more to explore, and we’re currently on Half-Blood Prince. We’ve had the game for a couple of months and we’re nowhere near finished, which should tell you how much content there is in this game. So, so much fun and best played with a partner in multiplayer!

Bought this for my daughter whose a big Harry Potter fan. Shes 6, not played on the playstation before but shes picking up the basic buttons on how to operate. It does get a bit more tricky when you learn more spells and have to open your spell menu to use on certain things or in fights. I play alongside her and tend to do the hard stuff while she runs around exploring.Some levels are quite tricky and requires some patience and exploring to move onto the next part of the level.Main thing is, it's fun and follows the films.

My wife and I have play most of the lego games there have been now and as a lover of Harry Potter this did not disappoint. Like all lego games they were fun to play, the pace kept moving, game-play was easy to pick up and we could have a laugh throughout. My only criticism would be on the second game (years 5-7) when playing co-op and the screen spins as you moving around. Just a personal preference but I prefer a fixed split screen. The movement made us both feel a bit sick and had to play in short bursts.

The characters don't talk, just make sounds, which makes the story mode a bit unclear if you don't remember the books/movies. I found it disappointing at the beginning but the game is so interesting and detailed that I quickly stopped paying attention to it. The free roam hub is outstanding and compensates for everything else. Nearly as enjoyable as lego Lord of the Rings. The only thing I don't like is that prof Snape can use dark magic in years 1-4 but not in 5-7. This game is a "must have"!

It is near impossible to find a good game you can play in local multiplayer, but this one ticks all the boxes for a bit of a fun game to spend a couple of hours playing with a friend/boyfriend!I am stoked that both years are on disc, and that they have been remastered for the PS4 because I loved playing them on the PS3. My issue is that Talkback Thames makes these fairly quickly and they are quite glitchy but it doesn't affect the game too much.This is the best lego series ever :)

The product I bought was the first choice I was after so when I realised Argos had it, I was over the moon. The game itself brings a lot of fun especially towards my son. It is something I myself can enjoy, even though I'm an adult lol. The graphics are amazing, the dynamics of the game are great and the storyline is superb. I would strongly recommend this game to those wanting to either try something new, try something lego and interactive and those who love lego and Harry Potter.

Our family have always enjoyed the Lego games. they have a good humour and good family gameplay.Whilst this is a great addition what is slightly annoying is that you play 2 games rather then them making this one. having said that the title implys this so you know what you are getting (so cant get rid of a star for this). Love the Co-Op play and even once complete have to go back with newly unlocked characters. all the cast are here (even the animals).

This game was excellent value. Kids love it and like to envolve me in the gameplay. Graphics are great but kids would have like characters speaking instead of the groaning noises (no doubt copyright).The story roughly follows the the books/films, well at least so far. This enables you to have an idea of what’s required. If not headless Nick is there to help.Some of the gameplay can be challenging for younger child (good excuse to get involved).

Lego jurassic world is outstanding in graphics and in game play it certainly makes you think on how to crack the puzzles in the game and the information on all the Dinosaurs is absolutely knockout. So while you are playing the Lego Jurassic world you are also gaining knowledge on the Dinosaurs superb game. The World of Harry Potter Lego style superb quality and excellent graphics and brilliant game play makes it a fun game to play.
