Call of duty Black Ops 4 is a great MULTIPLAYER game. As there is no single player. To make up for the missing content treyarch has added a battle royal inspired BALCKOUT. Now dobt get worried this is a Call of duty game and a very good one at that. Treyarch has proven that they are capable of making a excellent COD game. Now as there is no single player the game has been divided into 3 modes respectively MULTIPLAYER BLACKOUT, and ZOMBIES. There's also a specalist hq which has a type of story which helps flesh out the playable characters, namely the specialists. (a little bit on that later).MULTIPLAYER- Classic COD multiplayer. It the dame old same old. Theres the classics like Team deathmatch ,free for all etc abd then theirs new gems like the HEIST. The gameplay stays the same as the previous COD games but it continues on the 'NO REGENERATION OF HEALTH' which was set in COD WW2. Now the specialists. The specialists are the playable characters of the game. They have unique looks and playstyles. Whats nice is that treyarch had added specalists from all the previous BLACK OPS games. What is also new is that no two players can be the same specialist. If your preferred character has beeb taken..well bad luck.BLACKOUT-Now for the new addition the the COD Franchise. BLACKOUT is a 100 pvp battle royal with one man standing in the end. If you played games like Fortnite or Pubg then you already know the deal. Whats great us the treyarch has added its own COD TWIST to the game,as its in FIRST PERSON and contains all the guns from multiplayer. The map is fairly large and some of the point of intrests are from previous BLACK OPS games for example Nuke Town makes a apperance. You can also unlock the specalists which are available for multiplayer in BLACKOUT but they come with no special skill. There just cosmetic. (for what i know)ZOMBIES- PENDINGSTANDARD OR SPECIALISTS EDITION-Well if your a diehard fan of COD then ypu cab fork over a few more bucks for the specalists edition. The specialists edition comes the the main game, for different outfits for specalists, and 1,100 COD POINTS, but TAKE NOTE that cod points are not available to spend in the game as of making this review. There will most likely be an update for this.VERDICT-8.8/10'EXCELLENT'It's the "New Classic"

I’m a COD veteran that has played ever since 2007, I know about COD more than the average person and have played it competitively for a long time.In short, I know what makes Call of Duty good. This one genuinely shocked me, I was pretty much done with COD after being disappointed for years but I decided to give Treyarch a final chance. They completely nailed it.Multiplayer : The actual core gameplay WORKS, the shoot first die first is actually rare now, your bullets usually connect and the better player wins the gunfight, no more coin flip gunfights!Blackout : The best thing COD has done since league play. I’m shocked at how good this is, the connection is somewhat stable,there’s quite a lot of texture glitches which is expected at launch but it will only get better.Graphics are OK but just standard COD graphics, people don’t seem to realise that COD has always been about smooth gameplay over amazing graphics.Maps and guns are fine, I personally like that they brought back old maps because they’re all connected anyway in the Black Ops series.Zombies is actually fun again, it’s gotten stale over the years for me and they’ve revived the fun for me.I don’t miss the campaign because it looks like they used that time to really nail Multiplayer, Blackout and Zombies which will give you more than enough content for your money.DON’T listen to the people giving it 1 star, make no mistake this is a great COD which I’m surprised to say. These people clearly aren’t COD players.

Going in to this game I sort of knew what I was expecting, being an avid COD Player when I was younger coming in to this was very tough. Being that I got my butt handed to my countless times during online matches.If your looking for an enjoyable singlplayer or line experience on your day off to just relax please give this one a miss. But why?? You may ask, well here's the reason.To get the most out of this game you will have to give some serious hours to pick up a reasonable skill level when it comes to playing people online.This is not easy! Online gamers are ruthless and you'll die alit but given time digging in to the unlocks and raising your level you will find an excellent online experiencehere and even more so if your a fan of the series.I will say the amount of content here is where I get lost because you are paying £100! Now it's entirely up to you if you feel your getting a bang for your buck. Then again if you buy this it will be because your a serious fan of the series who is to know.Either way with this instalment of Call Of Duty you do get alit of different game modes being Zombies, Black Out and Multiplayer such as team deathmatch or free for all.So far I have enjoyed the game and will continue to enjoy it even if I do get my butt kicked nearly every game.I just have to get good I suppose!

First of all playing this game so far has been really enjoyable and all the people complaining about no campaign, why did they buy it? Well most likely they didn't so ignore those reviews.I agree that as it is heavily multiplayer based all maps should be free or future maps should be cheaper to buy not having to pay £40 FOR ITMultiplayer feels really smooth and has good graphics, all maps are very close apart from 1 or 2 but these two maps dont have any great sniper spots so i hope to see more long range maps included further on. All guns are extremelly equal to others, The devs have done a great job balancing items from feedback from the community.Blackout is a fun great game which at first is hard to adjust to the different playstyle and technique.There is no 3rd peraon mode which some people will or will not like. They are zombies spawned in the map which i find is a great unique addidition to a battle royale game.I cant really comment on zombies as i have been so engroseed playing multiplayer.I do not found it addicting or a game that makes you rage a lot apart from really blackout. The only bad thing about this game are microtransaction.Call of Duty is not based off campaign.Thanks

For those giving 1-2 stars, clearly people that don't pay any attention to gaming in general and seemingly just insta-bought the game without looking at what it actually is.These reviews mention how there's no single player, congrats, you somehow missed headlines and even reading the info on the actual buyers page where it says NO SINGLE PLAYER.Instead what you get is the most refined competitive multiplayer CoD since Black Ops 2, Zombies being at its all time best in the BO4 iteration and then Blackout, classic call of duty game feel in the most popular game genre in the world right now. If you're on PS4, this is hands down the best shooter battle royale game to play. If you're on Xbox,you have Pubg. Pubg alone is £25-30 and runs reasonably well. You get BO4 for an extra what, £20 and you get 2 extra modes that last years.if you're someone that wants to moan about single player being cut, oh well, sign of the times, it was cut because people would rather play BR and multiplayer and they made a business call. If you bought it without checking, jokes on you.

Yes the game is good with zombies and blackout and I have to say multiplayer is better than some of the past Cods but yes I do like a good campaign. I understand that they were focusing on other aspects with this game and the BO3 campaign was a bit of a shambles so that could also be a reason (ran out of ideas). I also have to say that I wish DLC was included in the game and not turning the game into a cash cow because this game at launch was no where near ready even after a massive update yes it has been improved since after several updates but the amount of testing they should be putting this game through needs to be reviewed and applied to the game before launch yes it’s expected that theyhave a couple updates for minor improvements but this is ridiculous it’s a update every couple of days it seems. So overall yes it’s a good base game but definitely room for improvement.

I was a huge fan of the fps shooter called Battlefield but after the big disappointment of the BETA i have decided to move to COD. because i was looking for a serious competitive multiplayer game to spend hours on itKnowing that the knew COD doesn't include a single player game i wasn't bothered at all(keep in my mind most of the negative reviews come from people that didn't know that there is on single player mode and it was a "surprise" for them because they didn't research before they buy.However the new COD has a boots to the ground combat, all the weapons feel balanced and pretty good battle-royal mode and 3 starting zombie maps which the zombie mode feels like a stand alone game with endless play styles.At this price you can't go wrong how much this game has to offer

For those complaining of the lack of story/campaign, how many peoplr actually played it? It does have a watered down version in the form of Specialist HQ, but it replaced the campaign with a fantastic Battle Royale mode. All the other multiplayer modes are here, and more.The gameplay is the most realistic yet, with a much more strategic way of playing needed, rather than the years of running and gunning. You need to utilise the specialist skills and with the addition of manual healing, focus and take your time.This is worth every penny of your 50 bucks, for the hours of fun to be had. The negative reviewers are acting as if they were held at gunpoint to depart with their cash,not knowing a single thing about the game before purchasing.

If you filter reviews by verified purchase you will get a much more accurate representation.Firstly, please be aware that this game is online-only, there is no campaign. For your money, you will get the best Battle Royale FPS available in "BLACKOUT", and a solid reinvention of the regular COD multiplayer with manual healing and more tactical-based gameplay than ever before. Thirdly, you have a fresh-feeling Zombies mode with three different experiences in Blood of The Dead, Voyage of the Damned, and IX.

I have read all the one stare reviews and they're all rubbish. They either have never played the game, are complaining because they are not good at the game or complaining about no single player despite there being headlines informing everyone that there was not going to be a single player mode.As Someone who has played 10 different call of duty's I can tell you that you will not be disappointed if you buy this game, the multiplayer is as good as ever. Yes there are one or two issues but they will probably be patched up in the future. The Battle Royale and Zombies are also fantastic modes.

People who don’t research the games they buy and then realise this doesn’t have a campaign have no right to rate 1 star based on this... was headlined way before it came out.... this game definitely deserves a 5 star rating the game is quick paced and fresh looking and all modes are equally awesome I imagine a lot of the bad reviews for the multiplayer are based on that they actually suck ass at the game rather than the game itself.... definitely worth the money don’t listen to the other bull 1 star raters

To make you aware this has no story mode and has been replaced by a 100 person battle royal called blackout which is very difficult to start off however is very entertaining and as usual the multiplayer mode is very well the same as previous. However I'm a zombies person and the new maps already have taken another step forward and are amazing.The remake of mob of the dead ( blood of the dead) is different and the map is so much larger with new areas and new Easter eggs with other new maps aswell

Purchased as a repeat CoD fan, intugued to see what the latest version offers! Also very keen to out the Battle Royale mode, which I have yet do, still trying to. Improve my Multiplayer abilities to then take into Blackout. Graohically impressive, thus far no real fault found apart from the usual quick scoping diseased numpties who practice such dark arts. Make this go away and. I'd prob give 5 stars across the board, but they are THAT irritating, they make a mockery out of that class.

Call of Duty just seems to have lost its way. Game play is similar to the original Modern Warefare, however without the freedom of selecting your specialist of choice and options for guns are restricted. The franchise has gone from walking on walls and other unrealistic gameplay, to limiting reality. For example no stock for the ICR or no granade launchers for assault rifles. Game play now tends to benefit campers without giving the weapons to combat campers to those that run around.
