My son really likes this Lego set and you get a lot for your money. Firstly, the Hagrid figure is fantastic. He is much taller than the others and comes complete with his pink umbrella. There is also a light brick for the fire, so with the push of a small switch there is a blazing fire in the hut. The hut can be folded or opened up to play inside. It is also the cheapest set to feature Harry, Ron and Hermione. The build was generally straight forward. The hinging required some parental engineering help, but my six year old got on quite well. He shared the build with his Mum, and apart from a few bricks where the colour had to be examined properly (the greys and blacks in the instructions can look the same),but generally did quite well with it. The Aragog is rather good and my son supplemented the spider army with some others from other sets to create a great enemy for the wizards to battle. This would be a great set to start a Lego Harry Potter collection as you get the three principal characters, Hagrid, a fearsome enemy in Aragog and a great building. That makes it excellent value for money.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Hagrids hut is definitely worth getting and I'm not just saying that.It comes with Four figures, three wands, a pink umbrella, two owls, a dragon, three spiders and a rat. My favourite part is the fire if you put it together right it will light up and create a gentle orange glow throughout the whole hut . One thing is that it takes ages to put together and sometimes the two halves come apart this and only this is the reason I have not given it five stars my sisters favourite bit that all the characters heads have a happy side and a sad/angry/scared side so you can turn then round and have different emotions. On the whole I would defiantly recommend getting this item then as I am planning to doyou can save up for th whole Harry potter collection.Hope I have helped thank you.

This set was the latest addition to my growing collection of Harry Potter Lego. I am trying to convince myself that in the future they will be worth something and I should buy them now while I still can.Anyway back to the review, once put together it looks good and the light in it is fun. I would recomend this to anyone who collects lego. The only thing I found was that off all the lego sets I now have although this piece was not the biggest it was by far the fiddliest to do. A child (which I am not!) would possbly find it a bit hard to do without adult help. That said it is well worth the effort.Well done Lego. Now what set can I get next? The castle I think!

I got Hagrids Hut for my 11th Birthday from my mum and dad.Me and my Dad spent about an hour and a half building it up.It was really fun to build aswell as playing with!!This Set comes with Harry Potter, Ron Weasly, Hermione Granger and Hagrid. It has a light up brick for the fire which gives it a homey touch. And it also come with Aragog, Hagrids big spider.Furniture is also included.I would say it is very much worth the paying price. The only problem for me is the roof, because a part of the roof keeps coming off so I have to be very carefull with that bit.Overall I would give it 4 stars :)

Wow, i see the value has increased since Lego stopped making this range. This set is the one i really wanted from the Harry Potter series as it had the three main characters and (at the time) wasn't too expensive. Having seen the 'real' Hagrids Hut at the WB studio tour i can say the set remains faithful to the film/books. The light up fire makes it a little special. The addition of Aragog is great, Hagrid is a great figure. Get this set if you can spare the cash, i guess it wont get any cheaper now.

I purchased this toy with my little boy's hard earned pocket money and at first was slightly unsure if it was worth the rather steep price. My son is an avid Harry Potter fan and was utterly thrilled with it when it arrived. He had fun putting it together, which he also found quite easy (he is only 7!) and even more fun playing with it after.I would recomed this toanyone, it's great!.

I bought this for my 6 year old son and he loves it.The instructions are clear and easy to follow and he was able to build most of it on his own, just needed a little bit of help. Now it's built he is still playing with it so it's not just the building of it that he has enjoyed. I would recommend it for Harry Potter fans with the patience to follow instructions!

i got this from my mum and it was a little bit expensive. it didn't take long to make and the instructions were very clear. it has abrick that lights up. the hagrid minifigure is tall and detailed which makes him different from other lego people however you cant move his head or legs. the hut opens up so there is lots of room to play.overall great toy!!

When my 10y son received this gift for Christmas he was delighted and built it straight away. He liked making the chicken, fish & vegetable stew best of all (his words, not mine!) He says it took him about 30 mins to assemble-though I find this a little ambitious TBH. It is a much loved toy and I am now being coerced into buying Lego Hogwart's Castle!

Bought for my 7 year old who normally gets through these sets with ease. He found this challenging but not too difficult. Lots of features and figures means that this is one of the few lego toys that actually gets played with after it has been built. It always breaks when I try to touch it, but my 7 year old doesn't seem to have to same problem.

Me and my kids (1, 5, 7) plays with Hagrid's Hut alot. Aspecially, my one year old son likes to look at all the details. I am Harry Potter fan and with this piece of Lego box, you get many cool characters and one nice hut for a bargin price. The toy can easily be wrecked though, but perhaps that is because my one year old son plays with it ;)

Ordered this for my daughters 8th birthday as she is Harry Potter mad. Was her favourite present and she couldn't wait to get started on it. It is much smaller than I thought it would be but is great for small fingers to get to grips. Instructions really easy to follow and she soon had it made. Characters very good.

Following the interest in Harry Potter, Lego has introduced a range of items for children to construct. Not only do they enjoy the finished product and have fun by acting out the stories but they learn by constructing - following instructions, manipulation, concentration and patience.

I have bought this set as our second Lego Harry Potter set and it was great choice - you will find some of your favourite characters in the box and spend some quality time while building Hagrid's Hut - and this is only begining. Excellent set for good price on amazon!!!

As always lego is quality and so is this product, we can argue over the price as Lego is always very expensive and there is no exception to this product. The instructions are clear but still too difficult for my 8year old daughter to assemble on her own.
