This is a great kettle and one that ticks the important boxes when it comes to what we were looking for in a kettle. Since getting our smart meter installed it’s highlighted those activities and devices that eat up electricity. Going for a shower, doing the ironing, cooking etc and one of them was making tea or coffee. So we wanted one that keeps the heat in once boiled which this does. Another feature we were looking for was the variable temperature so we could make the water 90° for fresh ground coffee. Again this does this perfectly so another positive tick. Only a couple of minor niggles to note. First it’s a bit heavier than our last kettle, especially when full.Probably to do with the double wall and stainless steel internals but it’s just worth noting in case this is an issue for you. Second and slightly related is that you need to tip the kettle more than you expect to get the water to come out. It’s to do with the way the lid seals to the internals to keep the heat in. Neither of these are a big issue for us, but I think it’s worth being aware of them before you buy. All in all this is a fantastic kettle, very quick to boil, quieter than our last kettle and keeps the water warm for much longer than a normal kettle. Not sure it’s the 4 hours claimed, but repeat boils are certainly much quicker.

I'd been wanting one of these kettles for a long time but couldn't justify the price when my usual £25 kettle was still doing what it was supposed to. Then, a few weeks ago,as if by magic, I had an email inviting me to purchase at a reduced price and my old kettle "fell off" the worktop,(I told the wigfe it must have been the Poltergeist again). So, I waited with much anticipation for my new super-duper kettle to arrive, which it did in very quick time. It looks lovely in Charcoal and looks "the business" on the worktop. It boils water to the selected temperature very nicely, although I haven't and won't be bothering to actually check the said temperature of the water, I'll take their word for it.It's actually quite quiet and relatively speedy. So, why only 4 stars and the comment about it not being for the elderley? My God, this thing, when filled to maximum cup capacity is so heavy to lift and with having to hold the opening lever to dispense the water makes pouring 4 cups of tea/coffee feel like you've had a 30 minute workout with a set of dumbells! I guess the weight is to keep the water hot for longer, and yes it does do this very well, but I doubt many elderly or disabled people would be able to use it safely.

I bought this kettle with the idea of being able to keep things hotter for longer and being able to control the temperature more accurately and also see how much is left in the kettle at anytime. It does all of these things excellently. But like all things, there are some drawbacks which could easily be rectified. Firstly it is a lousy pourer, you have to be able to tip it fully forward after the first couple of cups, and with this being a rather heavy kettle I can see it as a disadvantage for those with weaker hands/wrists and arms. Also it does not give a neat clean pour - after the first couple of cups it spreads out rather like Niagra Falls, which means pouring into a narrow necked vessel means you will lose half of it down the side.Lastly it can be difficult to see inside to top it up to the Maximum mark. I have a dark kitchen and I sometimes have to use a torch to see inside to where the maximum fill mark is. On the whole a good robust kettle, that does what it says it does, it just needs a little more thought

Brilliantly user friendly and energy saving high technology kettle...simply THE BEST kettle I have ever bought.:pride of place in my kitchen.Super rapid boiling and efficient:a joy to have and use.Atlast I can now make hot drinks to their respective precise temperatures everything from hot chocolate to herbal tea so they taste as they should taste respectively as opposed to a standard kettle. With a standard kettle the water boils at one temperature for all variety of drinks so you don’t taste the actual tempered richness taste of each drink from teas to coffee. One suggestion too however:You can only tell how many cups of water this high -kettle has after you have filled it up by switching iton and the L.E.D.cups indicator symbol tells you.You then continue to boil it or empty or fill the kettle again.Perhaps if thus model is updated it may be an idea to have a normal water/cups amount grid on side of the kettle too ?But otherwise I am well pleased with this product.

Loved that the kettle keeps the requested temperature for so long and is easy to clean. Easy to increase temperature therefore pleasing my husband - 90° tea man, then me -100° coffee. Looks very smart too.Disliked the necessity to almost upend the kettle to pour although this is due to the hole being small limiting the amount of heat loss. I found two ways to manage this - either holding the handle underneath or waiting until boiling finished and removing the lid (of course being extremely aware that escaping steam can burn SO badly). The lid is stiff to use at first but does get easier, if you don't secure it fully it will make a very strange noise! We do feel the lid is the weakest element of the design. We found that after approx 100 uses the cup display was wrong but easily reset after referring to instructions. The display is cups not mug measurement by the way. We bought one for an energy conscious friend which perhaps shows how much we like it.

I bought this red kettle to match my other kitchen products, it’s great as the out side of the kettle is cold so if a child or anyone touches the sides you do not get burnt, it has various temperature settings and various cups so you can fill the kettle up to how many cups of tea or coffee you want to make, it’s a very quite boiling kettle that beeps when it’s come to the temperature you set it at, just be a bit careful when you take the lid off the kettle when you want to refill, if it’s just boiled as the steam can burn you. It has a safety leaver you press down on the handle to be able to pour the water into your cup, it has a nice moulded plastic handle, it is quite a heavy kettle, even when empty so when it’s full of water it’s obviously heavier. All in all very pleased with my new kettle.

Top tip/vital info that's not in the manual for anyone with this kettle. Mine was overboiling and sending up a lot of steam (which it shouldn't), and worse of all, steam was blowing out the back near the trigger creating a risk of scalding. The answer was very simple. When the lid is off, there is an inner rim at the top of the kettle - you need to make sure there is no water in there. If there is residual water in there (say you've splashed it around a bit when filling the kettle), this causes an issue with the lid seal at the top, causing excessive steam. Just pour off any excess water around the rim before replacing the lid. Since realising this minor detail, mine has worked a treat every time.

Love our new kettle. Was looking for a thermal kettle because we often boil the kettle and then forget and then have to reboil the kettle to make a cuppa. Certainly this kettle is perfect to keep warm for a bit, but not for hours. I also love the temperature control, and you can see instantly what temp the water inside is. mostly we just go to 90degrees which is fine for our tea and I really think over time this will save us loads of energy. I also really like the number of cups indicator so we are learning over time how little water we really need to boil. It is a bit heavy but we don’t mind that. Can’t vouch for durability over time but so far.... Recommend!

I've been using this for about a week now, your water remains at the correct temperature within the insulated jug for at least 3.5-4 hours. I made my husband a second cup of tea, without reboiling, after 3hrs 40 mins. This is an ideal replacement for a 'normal' sized kettle, if space is restricted go for the smaller one but I'd imagine the base plate is the same size no matter the capacity of the kettle itself. If filling a teapot id recommend removing the lid as the pour-rate with it in place is quite slow and it's a heavy kettle in that scenario. I have always been kind of meh about kettles but this is different! Don't hesitate!

I bought myself this kettle, it's fantastic it does exactly what it says, water stays hot for up to 4 hours. It shows how many cups of water, it's quick to boil, quiet, not loads of steam on boiling. Very secure safety lid, great design, available in various colours. I was so pleased with my purchase I bought another one as a present for my son as he likes his drinks cooler which is absolutely perfect with the variable temperature setting. I would definitely recommend this kettle. I just love it. I usually buy Bosch but couldn't find a white and black one. This is everything and more, you will not be disappointed.

I purchased my Redikettle recently after thinking about doing so for a while and very glad I did, no more waiting around re boiling my old kettle every time after being interrupted while making a brew by a knock at the door, phone call or even a trip to the loo!! With my Redikettle after the first boil that’s it it keeps the water hot for up to 4 hours, so if I fancy a 2nd or 3rd cuppa within that time period just straight to my Redikettle and bingo the water’s all ready for me, with a very handy clear digital display letting me know how many cups of water are left in the Redikettle. Fantastic I love it.

This kettle has been a complete game changer in our house and has really cut down on the time we used to spend waiting for the kettle to boil. Instead the kettle stays hot for ages so we don’t have to re-boil which will be helping with our energy bills! We love our coffee so to be able to drink it at the optimum temperature each time has really improved our brew. It’s a cool design which fits in with our modern kitchen and it’s become a real talking point for guests round the house.I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a new, energy efficient, intelligent kettle which stands out from the crowd.

Bought this kettle about a week ago and love it. First thing I do in the morning it boil it to the max temperature and then it ready for everyone coming down though out the morning without having to be boiled again. Great feature. I read all the reviews before I purchased it and was nearly put off but glad I wasn’t. It is a little bit heavier and you have to tilt it a bit more but it’s just different from other kettles and you quickly get used to it. The temperature display is great and if you do need your water to be a bit warmer it takes seconds to heat back up. Love this kettle

Usually the items that I buy having seen the demonstration, I do not seem to be able to get the same results. It does not matter how simple the instructions / method may be. On this occupation the kettle not only lives up to the demonstration but is better than I could have expected. AS a person that drinks both coffee and a varies of types of tea I have find that the tea as stated tastes better now that I can use the correct temperate easily by choosing the right temperate without having to either adding cold water to the boiled water using thermometer or having to quest.

This is such an energy efficient kettle! We've really noticed a difference in the amount of time we used to spend boiling and re-boiling the kettle, as the HeatLock technology means the water now stays hot for approx. 4 hours.I also love the little cup counter which cuts back on wasting water and makes it quicker to boil (if you only need two cups for example). Finally, we have definitely noticed a difference in the taste as it boils to exactly 80 degrees, the optimum temperature for tea :-)Highly recommend if you're looking for an energy-friendly, clever kettle.
