Bought this kettle after a few unsuitable tries. It's quite short compared to our previous kettle but holds the same amount of water (1.7 litres). It has a flip-up lid and is a smooth shiny black in colour. It is pretty quiet when boiling, boils quickly and switches off at full boiling point, all things that were important to us when purchasing the kettle. The kettle has water filling windows on both sides. I would definitely recommend this kettle!

OK, the title's a bit corny. The kettle, however, is just right. It is light, the body is straight-tubular, in that it does not taper towards the top like other kettles. This means, you don't have the twist the wrist at an awkward angle to pour out. There are two contents guages, one at either side, so they are easy to see. The lid springs up straight, so filling is easy. It is also easy to keep clean. And it looks nice. What's not to like?

Tried two similar black kettles by a different maker. Both kept switching off after a few seconds or if they stayed in bikes without switching off. Returned them to Argos. Changed to Bosch for third attempt and it works. Stays on. Books quick. Switch is illuminated. Water level is very clear - I like that it measures in cups as well as litres. I would prefer if it switched itself off a bit sooner after boiling.

Looks good, fast boiling and pours very well(no dripping!!).But the lid does not open fully when the button is pushed and flops around a bit; the filter occasionally falls out and drops to the bottom of the kettle where it is difficult to get it out by hand because the opening is rather small; and the switch stays on for an average of 15 seconds after full boil is reached, obviously wasting energy.

Bought as a replacement for one we have had for several years. The kettle is very light, has very clear water level markings and can boil a very small amount of water so saving energy. These were the reasons we bought the first kettle and we could see no reason to change. The only downside is that it is not the best pourer. It is very easy to spill water.

Over all I am pleased with this kettle, it boils fairly quickly although it is a bit noisy. Easy to lift and pour and doesn't dribble back down the spout. The only complaint I have about it is the filter in the spout keeps falling out which is really annoying and the only reason I haven't given it 5 stars. Would I buy the same kettle again? Yes.

This is my second Bosch cream village kettle. The first one I bought 5 years ago and had to replace it only because it developed a tiny leak at the level window. I have kept the base as a back up but don't expect to use it. This matches my Bosch cream toaster which I bought at the same time as the kettle and its still going strong. Happy days!

The pictures do not really do this kettle justice. Bosch has always been a great, reliable buy for us, which is ultimately why I bought this. If I’m honest, I just needed a new kettle without any extra features/gimmicks at a reasonable price, but was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box, as this looks and feels much better in real life.

Bought a reconditioned item and so much cheaper than brand new. Have had it for about a month and working well so far. It boils the water quickly. Clear water level. Good grip. Lightweight with easy open button for filling. Only downside is that it's quite noisy which might be an issue for some people hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Wanted a cream kettle and have had this one before (which I am keeping as a spare although after 3 years it seems to take longer to switch off). I can pick the kettle up and open the lid at the same time with one hand whilst turning on the tap to fill it with the other hand. It is quick and easy to use and is reasonably priced.

I bought this kettle to replace a similar one that has done valiant service over a long period. It suits me perfectly, as it is lightweight, which is key for me. It has a very helpful scale for indicating the amount of water, and boils very quickly. No negatives at all, so I’m happy to recommend.

If you are after a basic no nonsense kettle this is the model for you. It's well made and sturdy without feeling too heavy or clunky. The plastic is easy to keep clean and durable. The kettle boils quickly and has a good capacity. Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a kettle.

This is the second kettle of this model we’ve had, so speaks for itself that we rate it as good quality. The first one lasted well over the five years it was guaranteed for . CAnt beat Bosch products in my humble opinion. This was the cheapest we could find it on the internet. Bargain.

It’s a simple kettle that does exactly what I want it to do. It’s possibly not the fastest or quietest but it doesn’t take long to boil and even when full it’s easy to lift and pour. It doesn’t take up a lot of room on the kitchen counter and I like black so it’s ideal for us.

Opening and closing the kettle is crisp with a clean click. The water level gauge is easy to read, and the light indicating the kettle is on is bright and clear. Boiling the water is fast and not too noisy. The kettle turns itself off in a timely fashion, and pours cleanly.
