This is a gorgeous kettle – sent for review courtesy of Russell Hobbs and Vine. From whichever direction you look at it, its cheeky, bright smoothness is there for all to see. I dare say its smooth clean lines would brighten any kitchen. I love the little touches, simple they may be, but they come together beautifully. For instance the smooth gloss plastics, the nice chrome rim, the big bright letters on top of the cream finish and of course the Emma Bridgewater graphics who of course needs no introduction as regards the wonderful range of mugs, kitchenware that her factories produce.Other features that just seem to work so beautifully like the upright stance of the kettle, its cheeky bold handle and the chromed spout and a complementary handle on the chrome-edged filler lid.Capacity is excellent and run time – I estimated about 90secs for a 4-cup load of cold water is just fine. The auto shut off controls work without undue delay and other points which show a well thought through design are the filler paddles inside the water reservoir to allow for accurate filling and less waste of electricity. I also like the translucent fill window on the end, which is like an indicator lozenge and gives you an idea of the water level without taking the cap off. The other delight was the lovely little sparkly blue light that informs the user when it’s heating. Add to this a well-known brand, large capacity, 3-year guarantee but of course as with everything these days Chinese manufacture and I might say your cup runneth over.Of course it’s about to cause a load of trouble in our household. Our two girls would love a kettle just like this one and my wife suggested that we replace her old kettle with this and perhaps give one of them her old one. I’ll have to referee. In a word – wonderful - Many thanks.

I needed to replacement kettle as I have disabilities and found issue with the spout & pouring of my previous kettle. The spout on this one has proven to be far superior to my old kettle. Easy to pour and much safer. No matter the angle I can't over pour and there is no leaking from any joins on the lid.I do find the lid both a bit flimsy and awkward to remove/replace but the latter might simply be because it's new.I like the style of this kettle in resembling a traditional stovetop kettle and also because of this it has better weight distribution & again, for my needs makes using it much safer, and kinder on my joints. It's easy to clean, easy visibility on the volume of water in the kettle both outside from the volume gauge and also inside there is a tier cup gauge this helps conserve water and electricity. The one thing that may present an issue is the length of the cable. My mum commented that she felt it was too short. I personally found it ample. It really does depend on where you need to site the kettle in relation to where your plug socket is. But my mum insisted to relay that for others in my feedback.Personally, I am very happy with the kettle and it has proven to be an ideal replacement for my previous one as a disabled person with safety considerations when pouring hot water. I highly recommend it.

Having used upright tower kettles for years, it was nice to go back to an old style kettle with the "loop over" handle. Reason being they boil quicker (more surface area on the base perhaps ?), and they pour so much more smoothly from the spout. This one is no exception, and is simply the smoothest pouring kettle I've ever owned.Downsides ? Well going back to a pull out lid again is a mild pain, so I tend to fill through the spout instead. Also the limescale filter isn't really accessible at all easily, so de-scaling that is a bit of a faff every now & again. Plus, those huge decals won't be to everyone's taste, as they do look a bit 1990s chintzy. But as a means to boil water and pour it effortlessly into your pot,it's an easy 4-5 stars from me.

This reminds me of the old kettle my grandma use to boil on the arga in the front room. It works exactly as you would expect its easy to fill, quick to boil, quiet and pours fast with no drips .It's main selling point is its design and specifically the Emma Bridgewater name. It boils quickly full and has a clear window to see the water .inside is 3 red bits allowing u too only fill for so many cups and is much quicker . A blue light comes on when boiling . I love the thickness of the handle and wideness of the sprout which also has a filter so limescale dont sneak into your cuppa . Id normally go for a darker colour but this wipes down with ease lovely design really happy with it

This kettle holds a maximum of 1.5l of water. From cold it took about 1 1/2 minutes to boil enough for 4 cups before turning itself off. It was quieter than my old kettle, and the spout is large enough to refill the kettle without having to bother taking the lid off. It doesn't drip when pouring (which my old kettle did). There is a washable filter at the back of the spout to avoid those nasty little bits of limescale that build up inside landing in your tea. The booklet that comes with the kettle recommends descaling it at least monthly. It has a nice design on a cream background, but for the price I would expect the matching toaster as well!

Fast Boiling:The boiling is very fast, I'd say that on average that boiling enough water for 1 cup is around 1 minute, which is a lot quicker than my old kettle.Nice aesthetic design:The design is really nice to look at, it's warming and smooth. The glossy appearance with the steel material definitely gets a thumbs up from me.Removable lid and anti-limescale:The lid is removable so you can fill it up with ease, as well as the anti-limescale to help reduce the build-up of limescale inside the kettle.Overall, the kettle is well made, pours well and is very beautifully designed. I would recommend if you're in the market for a new kettle.

This is a beautifully designed kitchen appliance in the style of an old fashioned kettle, the kind you see sitting on an Aga, only this one is much more practical thanks to its quick and quiet boil. The kettle can boil enough for a single cup in under a minute, larger amounts obviously take longer but it is quicker than my other jug style kettle. This pours well with no drips, it is also easy to fill and the lid is easy to remove /replace with its handle.Noise wise this is obviously not silent but it is definitely one of the quieter kettles I have owned.I love the look of the kettle and will be getting matching mugs to complement it.

A really eyecatching kettle that mix’s the design of a retro stove kettle with modern features . It works very well, with a really sturdy handle , that makes it ideal for holding if you have weaker wrists .It holds a large amount of water and sits on its own round stand , the cable is an ok length . It boils very quickly and again is easy to pour . It is quite a large size , so I would maybe be cautious if you have a smaller kitchen .It is well built and feels robust and good quality .Ideal if you like something unusual and distinct. It also has nice accessories and a toaster which you can buy separately .

This is an expensive kettle compared to many but that is reflected in the fact it is really well made in durable metal, rather than cheap plastic and has a lovely Emma Bridgewater design. It boils in super quick time and has a large strong handle that is easy for men or disabled hands to hold. It pours cleanly and has a lovely blue indicator light. However I did find it a bit too heavy for me and filling it difficult as spout too narrow and lid too stiff to easily remove and required two hands.

I love the classic design of this kettle with a modern twist. Not only does it have the usual water level gauge above the (illuminated) on/off switch, but there is a cup gauge inside for 1,2 or 3 cups (not mugs) also a filter. It isn't too loud whilst in use/boiling and its rapid boil is a plus. I will most likely buy the matching toaster if ever the price is reduced in a sale, as the range is a bit on the expensive side, if you do have the cash to splash, I would definitely highly recommend it.

With it's "Rise and Shine" &"Tea's Ready" messages, this kettle looks attractive and modern - but is made in the quality manner of the past - solid metal - no plastic. The handle is spacious - for even large hands to hold. As a woman with a disability, I found it easier to pour than the taller electric kettles which take more wrist and shoulder action. It pours well - no dribbles, has a good capacity and boils fast. A blue light denotes the kettle being on. A great addition to any kitchen.

Beautiful trendy looking kettle, excellent quality product which would look fantastic in any kitchen. Boils 1.5 litres quickly and very quietly. The spout pours perfectly and inside the kettle theres a handy gauge for measuring one,two or 3 cups, as well as a gauge on the side for two, four or maximum capacity. There is a limescale filter which is easily removed and replaced. It has a stay cool handle on the top. With the neutral cream and black it will go with any kitchen decor.

This kettle is attractive and comes with a 3yr guarantee. It is quiet and quick to boil. A blue light shows when switched on, with an easy to read water level indicator that is located at the back so as not to spoil the look of the kettle. The chrome easy pour spout, lid and ring around the outside gives it a quality look. The lid is easy to remove for filling. The kettle is well balanced and comfortable to pick up. The Rise & Shine and Tea's Ready decals make it look WOW!

A neutral colour goes with all colour schemes, smart looking and light weight so easy to handle when full. Does not spit or overflow when boiling. Recommended for those who find heavy appliances difficult to move about. Is stable on the stand but easy to remove for filling. A nice design that fits in with modern or traditional decor schemes. Overall great easy to use kettle.

This kettle looks great on my kitchen side. It was well packaged and very secure in the box, which meant no damages.I like the little cup measures inside the kettle so you don't have to boil too much water. It boils very fast, although is a little noisy. It's very comfy to pour and although the handle is plastic it actually feels soft-grip when pouring the water.
