Bought due to purchase of ultra large teapots (please see other reviews,) wanted a kettle that boiled faster than our other one. My son believes this boils faster. What I like about this kettle is something I have read in other reviews, the ease of keeping clean. My last few kettles have been metal and one was cream coated and ended up going rusty and the other, which I now use as a spare, is silver metal and it has been a total nightmare to keep clean around the handle. It gets like this white stuff on it and no amount of scrubbing gets it off. As this kettle is plastic, it is easy to just wipe.It holds a lot of water, 1.7 litres, but because it is taller so narrower,it takes up less room on my work surface. The spout is small, but I found it is still easy to fill it from our mixer tap as long as you get the angle right. The lid is twist off, which I have found easy to use, but I have seen other reviews where it says it takes a while to get used to. I don't tend to use a kettle from the lid, but the spout and I know some people say they can't fill it using this, but I have not had any issues so far.It doesn't drip when you are pouring out into cup or teapot and all in all I would definitely recommend this to others.I have always been happy with the quality of Bosch products, all my white goods are made by them and are now over 10 years old. Therefore, it proves to me they make quality products.

Well, unusually I bought it somewhere else, but even then made my decision based on reviews here.I have no reservations whatever about this kettle. It's easy to set up, boils quickly, is well built and simple to use. Obviously it removes from its power base when filling or pouring. When reading reviews I was a little put off by complaints about the lid, which has to be lined up properly to click shut, BUT it is excellent, easy to position, to open and close and due to the locking lid it won't fall off BUT if you need to remove it, it's simple. If the lid is left off or not secure, like all kettles it will boil dry (but there are safeguards should that happen). You are recommended to boil it twice and discard the water before using it for drinking. The inside is metal, there is no taint. People who worry about the scale filter under the spout need to realise it can be removed and cleaned, and if you live in a hard water area it's a boon. Just take it out and soak it in a white vinegar solution every so often, or soak it in a proprietary cleaner. The kettle pours beautifully and the water levels are easy to see on the side.Very well designed, ergonomically pleasing. Bright red "on" light which of course goes off when boiled. So far the best kettle I have ever used. I'd soon be back on here if that changed!Steve Riches, Northampton, UK.

Very happy with purchase, although I did buy it elsewhere for £21. It's worth shopping around!! I would normally go for brushed steel or dark colours, but I'm surprised at how pleased I am with the cream. A grey handle detail & red button seem to compliment the cream. Not a problem for me, but the flex & plug are black (the base is cream). Quietly boils & reasonably quickly. My old kettle developed a leak when pouring, but this pours great with no dripping. It is stylish, despite it being largely plastic. It is a slim & tall kettle, whereas my last kettle was more squat in shape. You can fill from the tap without removing the lid, but because of my tap/bowl configuration,it is a little tricky getting the kettle under the tap & not have cold water shooting everywhere. Might have to resort to removing the lid when filling, but that's seems easy enough - which cannot be said for some kettles I've had in the past. Overall, a very good kettle at a very good price.

It is a neutral cream colour. The base is also cream but the cable is black. Part of the handle has a light grey tint. The on switch is red and lights up when on.It's a tall jug and holds plenty. Filled to its maximum level there is enough water to fill 2 hot water bottles and a large mug of tea.The lid locks on with just a twist and does not fall off when tipped right up to completely empty the water out.The porthole to show the water level runs almost the whole length of the kettle and has very clear markings. I particularly like that it has a level marked for 'one cup.'It is very quick to boil. And overall the quality is good.

Had a fancy chrome Dualit kettle that died. I went looking for a basic kettle made by a reliable manufacturer and they either had an ugly shape or were made of chrome or glass, both no-nos for my hard-water region. This was has a minimal design and is made by Bosch and I don't have to constantly wipe it down. Feels a touch pricey for a plastic kettle hence only 4 stars.

Without any doubt, the kind of jug kettle I should always have had before.Jug Kettles with hinged lids, instead of detachable, can make one fill thekettle through the spout. A detachable lid means one routinely checks theinside of the kettle before boiling. A more traditional lid for a kettle as well.

You are selling this for £52.99(price&delivey).I Ordered this last night costing me only £32.98(£29.99 plus£2.99 delivery charge)from GO-Electrical.The highly reputable consumer magazine"WHICH" recommended it and say it should cost near about £30

Far too expensive. I bought for £29.99 from local Euronics shop & John Lewis is £29.95.No reflection on the kettle though which is good.Really surprised at the Amazon price though.

Very slim, fill level on the side and l can easily see one cup level or any other markings. Being able to take the lid off allows for easy filling and cleaning.

After having a cheap kettle that constantly dripped I decided to go for a more expensive one and I amvery pleased with this. Would certainly recommend it.

Good quality kettle. Lovely colour. Like how it tells you how many cups of tea you will get from the water you have put in it! Can get a matching kettle.

Great kettle, quite stylish only minus point is the fiddly lid could have been designed a little better ,otherwise top quality.

Lovely looking kettle, good quality. Lid easy to manage once you've got the hang of it! Good value. Quick, quiet boiling.

Apart from the lid [which you don't need to remove to fill - if you have a steady hand !], it'a a great kettle.
