I've tried three Irish whiskeys from Amazon of late. This one has been one of three in particular that I wanted to try, picking them up when on offer. Having recently tried Paddy's and Bushmills, I was left with Tullamore D.E.W.As with my other reviews, I have to reiterate that I am no expert. I try and if it's any good, I'll get it again. Simple.Tullamore D.E.W is - anticlimactically - pretty good too. I know, shock-horror.I will say that, of the three, Tullamore has a little more of a kick to it. In fact, in terms of smoothness, they pretty much follow in order: Paddy's, Bushmills, Tullamore. But this is not to say that this whiskey is unpleasant; not by a long shot.I'm pretty biased when it comes to Irish whiskey.Although I haven't tried it yet with Tullamore, I'd say that this whiskey - of the three - that would most benefit from being mixed; either with lemonade, Ginger Ale or Ginger Wine. Even a dash would probably take some of the fire out.Still; a good, solid whiskey for the price (as of writing £16), and still recommended.

I have recently got into drinking whisk(e)y as a hobby and bought this based on price and reviews. I paid £16 (currently on offer for £15). The good points are, it’s really smooth which you get from being triple distilled. I had to double check the alcohol content which is 40%, it is so easy to drink! On the nose I couldn’t smell much, a bit of damp hay perhaps? The taste itself was a bit of vanilla and not much else. I think this is a good introduction but does lack a bit in flavour. I got no after taste, if you are starting off I would give this a go , it’s pleasant but no wow factor, but for £15/£16 it’s a bargain.••••••• Had another bash at it today and got more flavour, toffee & vanilla,it’s good stuff. Simple but effective a definite 5 star & for £15/£16 an absolute bargain.

I've had far more expensive from around the world, spending £150 a month on whiskies, and as a pleasant glugger Tullamore Dew is really nice. Easy flavour and clean. For well under £20 a bottle at the right time you can have a light but flavoured drink that doesn't taste like it was made in a shed, which some expensive ones do to me. I've been sinking this on and off for 30 years and while I wouldn't say it is my go to bottle i'd be more than pleased if someone gave me a glass, or bottle of it. Don't be a money snob and give it a go. A lot gets missed because people think aged, Scotlands own or high price has to be better.

During this lockdown I purchased another well known Irish Whiskey brand from the local Co-op at £25 per bottle! I decided to try Amazon and came across Tullamore at £16 for the same size bottle. I was pleasantly surprised to find Tullamore really smooth, smoother than the leading brand. It is slightly sweeter and not as spicy but is very easy to drink.I don’t use mixer, water or anything that shouldn’t be in there. Very rarely I will add a single ice cube to whiskey...and it has to be poor whiskey for me to do that. Tullamore is an excellent blend you can drink mixer free.

A fantastic whiskey and very well priced with the only disappointment being Amazons policy on age related items .. now if i were somewhere around 18 years old or even looked young I could understand their policy but being almost 70 and looking it, I don't want to be handing over even more personal details to a snotty kid at the door who already has my name and address and is therefore well on his way to stealing my identity should he wish. I won't be buying again from Amazon until they change this ridiculous policy.

A nice whiskey for the money. I paid £17 and it's been on here for cheaper, so would buy it again if the money was right. It's easily drank and no harsh tastes like some other cheaper whiskeys. Don't get me wrong it's not ultra smooth or bursting with flavour but it's still quite decent. I'd rather add a few pound and get something more complex, but if this is your budget then you could choose worse.

This is a EXCELLENT whiskey, particularly for the price. I'm a big whiskey drinker but I confess I like a nice mellow and smooth drink (I'm not big on peaty or overly complicated whiskeys) and this ticks all of my boxes. Don't get me wrong there's better whiskeys out there but for about double the price. Great one to keep a regular stock of!

This is my second bottle (not this week, this year!). I like the flavour of Irish Whisky and this one seems slightly lighter to drink. Seems to go down a bit too easily - no harshness and a mellow taste. Whisky is a very subjective thing but for me this is a pleasant drink on some evenings, on others I will drink a Scottish Malt.

This is about as easy-going a whiskey as you can ever find without having to resort to Jack Daniel's.For the money, it's a great drink! Think barley sugar, bit of toffee, balancing out a light fruits flavour. I personally love it as a mixer, my dad prefers it with just a teaspoon of water in his dram.Enjoy!

Bought as a father's day gift as my Dad loves Irish Whiskey and I've seen this everywhere when I've travelled to Ireland for work so thought I would give it a go. After asking for his opinion he really liked this Whiskey and said it was very drinkable, a bargain for the price! Would definitely buy again

My Dad tells me this is a very nice little drop of whiskey, but please as I say that I would like you to bear in mind that he is no connoisseur and is happy with pretty much any cheap whiskey. So I guess if you are looking for a bottle on the cheaper side of the whiskeys out there then it's just fine

Of all the usual budget Irish blends this is my favourite. Combines the maltiness of Bushmills with the buttery notes of Jameson and something else of it's own in there too. A very simple whisky but sometimes that is all you want. And at less than £20 an absolute steal.

Tullamore Dew is one of the best Irish Whiskeys there is. It is as smooth, it is rich, it is sumptuous, it is packed with scrummy flavour both at initial sip and as an aftertaste. It is a beautiful whiskey. At this price for 1 litre, it is an absolute bargain.

I first tried this as a chaser in Chicago bar. Loved it then, so I bought a bottle. Even back home it still tastes just as good. It is smooth going down which progresses into a lovely caramel taste. At this price (£20) it also seems like good value to me.

A lovely whiskey, bought a bottle to have a couple of weeks before a trip to Dublin to get in the Irish 'spirit' - nice flavour, I'm more into my peaty whiskeys but if you're looking for a well balanced whiskey this could be the one for you
