There are vodkas and there are Vodkas. This is one of the latter. I bought this ages ago and the bottle was a smaller one and didn't last too long. Superb, clean tasting vodka which tastes of pretty much nothing really, which is what you want. I have nothing against those who want to drink stuff like Smirnoff Ice but this stuff beats anything like that, hands down.This is good if you want to keep it in the fridge and drink it neat. It really doesn't need anything to drink with it. In fact, if you want a good vodka to drink with a tonic water, then choose something like Fever Tree Premium Tonic Water, rather than the ones with artificial sweeteners in.

Russian Standard is my regular choice for vodka. It is the standard that vodka is supposed to be and always goes down well.There are better vodkas available, but this is the best that I have found in its price range (£16-20). Its a much nicer drink than smirnoff, the main rival in its price range. There is a lot more bang for your buck with Russian Standard, with it tasting like a much more expensive option.I also enjoy Absolut (£20-25) but my favourite is Finlandia. These are really mid range vodkas, but why would you want to pay more.I have never been able to justify the price of anything more expensive, like grey goose. There is not enough difference between these and the mid range vodkas.If you can find/afford a better vodka drink it,

In a market flooded with cheap mass produced vodkas devoid of flavour and authenticity my friends and I one happy evening were pleasantly surprised to come across a real Russia Vodka. The labelling and name is no gimmick it really is Russian and we all agreed it tastes much better. There is a cleaness on the palate, a warmth without burn, and a pleasing mouth feel. Most vodkas are pretty unpalatable unless mixed, unlike this one. I would recommend this on its own, as a base for simple cocktails such as a classic Vodka Martini, or with tonic. If you are planning to cover it in coke you are wasting your time and vodka!

Never been a Vodka drinker since getting paralytic on some cheap Spanish vodka in Benidorm. Anyway many years passed and i was told by a work colleague to try this vodka. Imagine my surprise when i actually loved this vodka, it leaves you with a lovely warm feeling in your throat and a very nice after taste. I drink it neat as if you want to spoil it with a mixer buy some cheap Aldi / Lidl vodka

If this is a taste of Russia, I’m hooked!! This vodka is smooth, has a lovely clean, classy taste. In my own personal opinion, (don’t get mad) I think this is a lot nicer than Smirnoff. Smirnoff is good but this is the real deal! I’m a very happy customer. I’m going to really enjoy drinking this throughout this holiday season. Just wish I had a nice handsome Russian man to drink it with ?

What can i say? its a great vodka!Its a great quality vodka, and a great taste. i would actually say it is best was a mixer, not so great when drinking it straight. Cant really complain at the cheap price you can get it for on here. so i buy it quite regularly. if i was to drink vodka straight, i would go for a slightly better quality vodka, but thats just my preference.

Bought this vodka from a well known supermarket as a change from my normal choose of drink, always remembered the taste of vodka as bad. However this is completely different, no horrid paint stripper smell or bad after taste. This is by far the best vodka you can buy, and its good value for the cost. This is the only vodka I will touch now, try it and you will see.

I had always thought I just didn't like vodka, but I had obviously never tasted a decent one. Russian Standard is a real delight. For me personally it is incredibly smooth (even when taken straight), with a comforting mild sweetness. The quality and purity seem quite apparent. It still packs quite a punch though, so go easy!!

I have always thought vodka was a hard hitting, throat burning drink until I had the Russian Standard. The smoothness of this vodka is delightful. So easy to drink without the nasty burning sensation and hard hitting taste. It lives up to its name and is an amazing vodka at a good price.

Once you've tried this, you will never go back to other cheap vodkas. I didn't even like vodka before trying this, because I didn't know that vodka could be so smooth!! It's definitely the best in this price range, and in fact if they charged more, I'd still buy it.

This is the smoothest Vodka you will come across - it makes other well known brands seem possibly harsh in comparison. Chilling the bottle in the freezer takes it to a whole new level - when making toasts it slips down your throat. Buy, drink and enjoy.Will

Hugely under-priced vodka. Superb taste and smoothness. There are only a couple of vodkas better then this and they are double or treble the price. Really there is no better vodka under £20.

I was sent a case of this vodka as a present, and having tried it will never drink another brand again. The vodka itself is great - and, the bottle so impressive! A truly Russian experience.

I've been buying Grey Goose for many years but was given a bottle of Russian Standard as a gift. I'm really impressed by both the taste and price. I'll be buying this in future!
