Actually would place this item between 'like' and 'love' ! It enables me now to enjoy once again the advantages of the smoothing plane bought in the UK some half-a-century ago; there is no reason in the contemporary world to doubt the quality of the steel in the blade, unless it were made in China AND lacked decent quality control in the factory. That is something it remains for me to discover, as a greater priority presently is to ensure the ruin of the old Baron's chateau fort (fortress) doesn't fall down around my ears during my occupation of it.Size of these seems identical to the original Stanley spares, the cutting has the requisite kinda 'bite'

fast delivery, great product. Bought them for my 45 yr old Paramo plane. Couldn't find any replacement blades for the old plane, but saw the review which suggested these would work, they fitted in no problem. Helped no end in the job I'm presently doing, really sharp. As regards fitting the blades, It is really easy. Just insert the blade while the plane is upside down, turn onto a flat surface, release the clamp, and the blade will sit square, then tighten the clamp locking it squarely in place. Adjust the blade's cutting depth, all works fine. For those who have no woodworking skills or background, this is much easier than using a traditional plane.

I actually bought these blades, as an experiment for an old Paramo Planemaster plane, about 40 years old, that used replacable blades. The Paramo blades had long since disappeared, Paramo have gone out of existance, and the old plane was just sitting in a toolbox getting rusty.The Stanley blades are more or less same size and fit and work perfectly. So if you have an old Paramo plane, try these blades.

Ideally fits my ancient Paramo Plane Master and makes life easier for people like me who are a bit naff at using an oilstone to sharpen my smoothing plane blade. That combined with a very reasonable price makes it a good buy.

I had doubts that they were still made as I had not seen either planes (of the model that I have) or blades. Glad to see that though the plane design has changed (For the worse)the current blades do fit, so all's well.

I was unable to find replacement blades for an old, inexpensive but useful plane. I was on the point of throwing the plane away when I discovered this site. The product has given the old plane a new lease of life.

I inherited an old Stanley plane from my father, and whose blade was totally blunt. I was overjoyed to find that blades are still available to buy.This blade pack is exactly the correct item for my plane.

These blades cannot be found in the large DIY superstores. If you own an older Stanley plane it seems a pity to have to buy a new one when all that is required is a replacement blade. A great find.

These have brought back to life my 40 year old B&D plane.I was looking for a new plane when I luckily found these which slotted in and worked a treat with good sharpness.

This is just a pack of blades for Stanley Plane but it is the correct blade for a Plane I have had for years and thought I would not be able to renew them. Great.

I bought these to fit an old, Paramo "Planemaster" plane. They work fine. Very sharp and durable, and a good price. What more can I say?
