Used regularly for about a year so a pretty good idea of its utility.First the block plane. Its frog, wedge, chip breaker, however you'd describe it, is poor. The screw that you tighten to fix the blade is inaccessible and uncomfortable, the throat that the iron sits in is narrow enough that it can only be used bevel-up but the sole is flat, the toe and heel are level and the iron itself is good steel. It's not a smoothing plane but it's not meant to be. It takes a knock very well without any movement of the iron so it's a good plane to keep to hand for easing harsh corners.The larger of the two planes (which is roughly the size of a Stanley No. 4) is a good piece of kit with true and square walls,

All I needed to do was plain a shed door down a bit as with the wet weather it stopped closing. I didnt want to spend much as I thought it should be just a few strokes and done (yeah thats what she said to lol) so I did try a Tool station spoke shave but what a load of crap thats was, just fell apart! So I upgraded a pound or to and got this set as you see. The little block plain was brill done the job easy, I havnt even used the bigger one yet but well impressed.

I paid £5odd including delivery. Percect for my intended use. The reason for 5*? Price and very low expectations. I wouldn't have paid any more for them though and would have been gutted if i had.The blades alone will be more than useful. If you want a serious bit of kit look elsewhere.

Excellent quality, two wood planes, one small, one medium. Both do the job, however, the blade can jump out several times during use if it hits a knot etc. but it's easy enough to put back into position.All in all a good price for the product.

They have being sent straight away out to meThe small one is flimsy and I think it’s only for short time use !They large one I test first before I give a full review ? Blessings

Being a novice in this area, it took me a while to get the hand of adjustment of the blade, but all in all, this looks like something I will be happy with for a long time.

They are not the best tool you can buy i got them just to start learning my grandson wood working and they work better than I thought they would 10 out of 10

Great value & 2 for the price of 1 basically. Can't be bad can it. Did a great job of shaving dowm my distorted door in no time.
