Iron really needs honing before use, mine had several large burrs on the cutting edge.Note this iron doesn't fit older Stanley 9.5 block planes, check your existing blade before ordering

This blade was not for me but for my builder and he has told me that he is very pleased with the blade as the block plane that it is used on is one of his favourite tools

Althoug I've bought the wrong model for my block plane the product is good, at least for me that doesn't have this kind of item in my country
