Again, I read the description before buying and also the reviews of many who have bought this block plane. I wanted a small and simple plane to do a couple of jobs where I’d be planing small pieces of wo max length one foot. The result after initial adjustment was very good. I do have quite large fingers so did find the tightening up a little fiddly but the results were very good and cleaning the plane after use is easy. I have oiled the blade and mechanism so it’s ready for next time. For the price the plane is nicely made and does the job.

it took a while to get the bottom flat and clean out the black powder coat from the mouth, but after some blade sharpening it is great for some quick chamfering on edges. i tried to adjust it with the wheel but this seems to be beyond my capabilities, so i found the next best option, do everything up tight and on a scrap of wood hold the plane vertically give a sharp tap on the front or rear to extend or retract the blade this seems to be the easiest way to adjust and i can go from wafer thin to quite heavy shavings and back again.

I bought this plane to shave off the top of a door that was sticking and it was just perfect for the job as you only need one hand to use it which enables you to hold the door with the other, so of course there is no need to take the door off. My daughter has used it too for one of her doors and she thought it was brilliant. A "must have" for a ladies tool box! It is a good price and delivery was very quick.

This came sharp & ready to use. Planed bottom corner of 2 doors without an issue, & we all know how much harder that is to do. Don't be put of by some reviews. If you know how to use a block plane (very self explanitory) then this is what your looking for. I was not going to buy this because of some of the reviews.It's easy to adjust, I can't find anything wrong with it.

This plane fits nicely in the hand and will do very nicely for all those small finishing jobs that need to be done. OK, it is made out of pressed steel but still should do the job as well as one five times the price.

A good little sharp plane for all those little jobs obtains a very good finish. I like it good value

Wanted a simple plane to ease a couple of doors that stick. This did the job just fine. Good value.

Very sturdy product still in use after so long. Just had to sharppen the blade which is normal.
