I've tried various alternative blades from various online companies, the ones where you join their shaving club and get regular deliveries of blades. The reason I did that was primarily to try and save a little money on the cost of replacement blades. My experience is that the alternative blades are just not as good as these Gillette blades. I have found that typically those alternative blades wear out faster, I got regular shaving cuts, the blade cartridges are larger and the heads do not swivel as much so don't track to the face as well. So my experiences mean I keep coming back to Gillette. I always get a good shave with these Gillette blades so the slightly higher cost is fine with me.

I have tried a wide variety of 3 to 5 blade shaver systems in fixed, swivel and flexball formats and I find the Fusion Proglide to be the best match of performance and price.
