I have owned my Philips electric shaver for two years and knew that it was recommended to change the blades after two years. I was in two minds whether I should change the blades now or leave it another year as my blades were still cutting quite well and doing a good job. After reading a number of good reviews I decided to change the blades sooner and I am glad that I did. After using the new blades twice now I can tell that my old blades were quite blunt and these new ones are certainly an improvement as they cut much better.If I had bought one of the cheaper Philips electric shavers I would have considered replacing the whole shaver as the blades are so expensive but I am glad I replaced the blades this time.

Ensure that these heads are compatible with your razor - I found that it actually said on the back of my razor which replacement heads to purchase.These ship with just the 3 circular heads - so if you've lost or broken the head unit itself or the 'locking' mechanism, then you might need to consider purchasing an entirely new razor.The heads are fairly easy to install, just remove the locking unit, and slot these into places (ensuring the little 'arms' are in the right place) then put the locking unit back in to place firmly. I found it was easier to remove the entire head from the razor body when doing this, then re-attaching.Performance of razor is now essentially as new as it was when purchased.

Philips recommend that the cutting heads/blades are changed every 2 years - I now know why! I have had my razor for considerably longer than that, although admittedly I don't use it very often, preferring a normal wet shave. It was getting to the stage where I used the razor with some trepidation because it would occasionally pull out a bristle instead of cutting it - and believe me, that hurts! What a difference a new set of cutting heads makes. I will probably now convert to using the razor most of the time as it is more convenient than wet shaving. Recommend that you buy the genuine Philips replacements. There are cheaper "compatible" versions available but why risk buying an inferior (or even fake)

Very simple to fit these replacements, and a dramatic improvement in shaving effectiveness resulted. In particular longer hairs on the neck are tackled more easily. I had not realised shaver heads need regular replacement and mine were about 8 years old. It was an awkward decision on whether to buy these or a new shaver - not much difference in price. I feel replacement shaving heads is an OK option. But these are extortionately overpriced by Philips, hence the loss of one star rating. Next time trying a cheap unbranded replacement head might be worth a try.

I read the reviews and thought how hard it could be to fit it. after looking at the little drawings on the side of the box it came in. it didn't look too bad, I actually tried twice to fit perfectly but you just press and twist on the inside a few degrees and it moved then came out, exact opposite to put the new heads in (even a monkey could do what I thought then yes I could :-)So glad I have, to shave you so much near tighter, brilliant I think It took me four times longer than I needed, Before I bought the new heads. excellent product

After a busy year during which I finally gave my beard the old heave-ho my Philips AquaTouch AT896 Wet and Dry Shaver finally stopped getting the job done so I ordered these new heads.Delivery was very fast and on a Sunday as well with confirmation sent that the box had been posted.Out with a good pair of scissors and I soon had my new heads out of the packaging. Fitting was a little fiddly but not too arduous.Well worth it as a reliable and effective shaver has been made like new again and my chin fuzz is back under control.

After comparing the HQ8 against the HQ9 heads in the same shaver Philips AquaTouch AT 890 the HQ8 took a bit longer to get the job done, I prefer HQ9 and yes Philips lies on the back "Only use HQ8 heads" that is just marketing bulls*** as usual so if you wanted you can upgrade to HQ9, despite my preference these HQ8 heads are great and would recommend them for those prefer the HQ8 heads rafer than the HQ9 heads.If you ever bought another shaver in the past because of local shops high price it may be worth getting HQ8 & 9

I had ignored the prompt to replace the heads after two years but after 3 years their performance was noticeably worse, so although they cost about half as much as the original shaver I decided to get these. I am pleased to say that they have led to a great improvement in performance of the shaver and also seem quieter than the old ones. They were slightly fiddly to fit as they have small projections (not present on the old ones) which mean they only fit properly in one position.

Accidentally bought these instead of a set S9000 series....However, as the old A58 Aqua body still works. Tried them out.These cutters, although superior to the previous generations of Philips cutters, are themselves no match for the 9000 series cutters.Only advise using new Philips original items.Still pricey. often cheaper to buy new replacement Philips shaver model than replacement blades!Great recycling idea!

This product is perfectly fine....it does what it should BUT BEWARE... the picture on the website is misleading.You do not receive the complete head as shown in the picture. (this head can clip on and off so not improbable to think you can order it as a complete unit)You actually receive the 3 shave blades and fittings which you fit into your existing head. Very easy to do so don't worry.

Don't waste your time or money in buying cheaper generic heads as a replacement for your Phillips shaver, they will be often more blunt than the ones you are replacing...! Either that or they will wear down pretty quickly. Yes these cost more but they work and being branded should be as good as the originals the shaver came with. Buy cheap, buy twice - in this case that applies.

Great product, quite a good price, immediate difference noted in quality of shave. I hadnt changed the heads for 2 years and it showed..! I wont be doing that again. I was tempted to go for a generic set of heads, but was worried that they werent of the right quality. These heads are a bit fiddly to fit and need a bit of working out when doing it for the first time!

I was very reluctant to purchase this based on the 1 star reviews stating that they were instead sent the inferior Norelco versions that says to change every 12 months instead of 2 years. I took a chance and purchased direct from Amazon as the price was still good and I am very pleased to discover that I did receive the proper 2 year ones, exactly as pictured above.

I have a Philips AquaTouch razor and these heads are the same as the the original heads that came with the razor. They work just as well as the original heads. There seem to be a lot of cheaper heads available on the market but they seem to receive some very mixed reviews. I thought it better to pay a bit more to get the authentic product and I do not regret it.

good value for the price, but be careful choosing the right ones!i went on philips site and amazon and typed in my model number and was recommended totally different blades.in the end i went by the series written on the heads themselves, which was series 8.if i had gone by the model number of my formula 1 shaver it would have been series 6!
