Over the years I have tried many razors but always come back to the Protector. The 3D head movement is great, the shave is close but doesn't nick skin, and the blades last for a decent amount of time. For the record, I shave in the shower using a shaving oil.After leaving my last Protector at a hotel (grrr) I decided to try the Quattro but it's not as good by a long chalk. The shave is less close, the blade is too chunky to reach everything and the head does not swivel side to side so keeps popping off the handle. So I was very relieved to find these Protector razors on Amazon because the supermarkets only stock the blades now, not the razor itself.

Been shaving for 45 years and used a few razors in that time (my first was a Gilette Techmatic, remember those?) Even tried electric for a very brief period (shudder). So I know what works for me and the Protector is a razor I have been happy with for many years.I like the simplicity and the blade guard, never had a cut or nick with one of these but it still shaves good and close. Blades seem to last a long time as well. It was fine with twin blades and I was not too happy when they changed it to a triple blade system a few years ago but it works well, I just don't subscribe to the 'more blades the better' brigade.I will continue to use the Protector as long as the blades are available (I have a spare handle just in case).

These blades give the closest and smoothest shaves I have ever experienced but are almost unheard of. They fit the old 'Protector 3D' razor handle as well as the latest 'Protector 3'.Cost works out around 70pence each as against around £2 for Quattro,Hydro3,Hydro5 which come close to quality of shave at more than twice the price. Gillette prices start around £2 each for 'Mach3 and turbo' for not a patch on Wilkinson Sword for shave quality.Compares very well against DE shavers, Merkur slant bar with Wilkinson Sword Classic blades or Feather, yes doesn't clog with very close cut and protected against cuts and nicks with vertical blade wires.How do Wilkinson Sword keep these blades so secret,

Just ordered my first set of new blades in about a year!! The last time I ran out I could never remember what to buy when in the pharmacy and didn't want to go to the expense of buying a new razor I'd have to get used to and the additional expense of buying 'the latest in blade technology'.So I carried on using the same old blade and have done for over a year. I don't suppose it shaves as well as a new one does and I've only ordered these because I just upgraded to Amazon prime and wanted to try out a few things to buy :)Bottom line, these blades are reasonably priced, are nice to use and last forever.

I have used this type of razor for many years. I was delighted to find a well know pharmacist was selling the razor at a very cheap price, that cheap I bought two! One for home use and one for my travel bag.I have tried a Gillette and risked a double edge razor, I still did not get as close a shave as when I shaved in the correct way with a Wilkinson Sword protector. ( two passes, one down & then one up, then if needed one across ) I also use a shaving brush and G F Trumper shaving cream which is a great way to wake up. It takes between 5 & 10 minutes to shave and in my opinion is worth it!

Gives one excellent shave then one acceptable shave per blade. Normally I would accept this limitation. However, some years ago I purchased a razor + blades pack under a supermarket special deal. The blades supplied lasted for at least 6 excellent shaves per blade so were made of a superior quality steel. This has never been repeated in my experience which is a pity;extra cost of this steel would be negligible. So, we have a second rate product by design. Disappointing.

I started using these blades over 20 years ago when they first came out. Nothing, but nothing before or after comes close to the wet shave achieved with these blades.They rarely nick you because of the wires stretched across the 3 blades and unlike 5 blade wet razors don't need fancy gadget bits to get into tight areas.Streets ahead and cheaper than most of the competition. Taking an opponent's slogan "the best a man can get".

I have been using the Protector since the 1990s - I believe since when it first was launched. I have given newer razors a try over the years and none of them comes close to comfort and ease of using the Protector. I'm writing this review because we often overlook the good thing in our day-to-day lives. I was here today shopping for replacement blades but I just want to thanks Wilkinsons Sword for their truly excellent product.

I really don't want to change razors to one of the new breed and love my protector but retailers seem to be blitzed by Gillette products. Not only did I find these on ebay (no surprise there) but they are appreciably cheaper than one famous national store that began in Nottingham and whose name could be a type of footwear.Great to get a stock of these in and will be coming back for more later this year.

I use these to shave my legs and underarms. I have used them for years and love them - it seems almost impossible to cut myself with them, no matter how fast / slapdash I am. And they still seem to give a close shave. A while ago I used a disposable razor and shredded myself because I am so used to not having to be careful with these blades. I hope they never stop making them.

I have given this razor to all 3 of my lads as their 1st razor. Because of the protector barrier it is much kinder on baby skin. So my reccomendation comes from the fact, that if you are looking at a 1st razor, or just an all round economical and reliable razor, choose this.Wilkinson sword are the only ones i know about that have a barrier protection to cover 1st shavers.

There are newer and more expensive options around but I find these blades give a really smooth shave so I'm very happy to stick with this system. Tiny wires run across the blades and are very effective in preventing accidental cuts. This means I can shave very quickly in confidence! Great for home and for travel. A blade can last me up to a month.

Arrived very quick , Glad I found these blades on amazon as they are hard to get hold of these days despite the fact they give a great shave , I've been using these for about 15 years now and in that time I've tried a few others mac 3 being one yet I always come back to wilkinson sword protection .

They are Wilkinson Sword protector 3 blades an they are very good ! I can only assume the reason the protector 3 blades never took off is they only have one strip of moistening gel on them an now its the in thing to have multiple strips. But for me 3 blades an one gel strip is more than enough !

They arrived in good time and the packaging was in good order. I have used these blades for years and prefer them to other similar products. I have stopped using supermarkets for high priced items that I use every day of the week. Check it out for yourself buy in bulk and save a fortune.
