I am new to shaving with Safety Razor. I Bought (2) Safety Razor Starter Kits (1-for me / 1- for my Father in LAW, who has used Safety Razors for years now). The Starter Kit came with DERBY DE blades, so those are the only other Blades I can compare with (compare by use not by value). I researched (read other reviews) many other DE Blades (Feather / Mercur / Persona / etc.) and based on what I read, the WILKINSON Sword DE came recommended by many. This led me to this purchase. I absolutely would recommend this Purchase to anyone looking to start shaving with SR or that have used SR before and just looking for DE blades. Based on my personal use (1.5 Passes with SR / 3 shaves per Blade),the Wilkinson Sword is GREAT! I have had 0 (no) nicks or cuts using the Wilkinson Sword, compared to the Derby. My Father in Law was fine with the Derby DE blades but they just didn't do for me what the Wilkinson DE blade did. Now for price, Best price for 100 DE Blades (should last a year based on shaving every other day). Compare that to MACH 3's (or any wet Shaver with disposable blades), I say it is a must TRY and Best Bang for the Buck$$$.. These are the Wilkinson Sword DE blades made in Germany, do not get fooled by other similar blades with same name but are made elsewhere. Highly recommend this Purchase. Shipping was also fast and packaged perfectly..

These blades are incredibly good: they're sharp, have many useful tools (lubricating strip and edging blade) and are very durable.I've used a Gillette Mach 3 since the day I started shaving and always thought that razors were supposed to hurt a bit and that I just happened to have very sensitive skin. However, last year I went on a long trip around LatAm and was trying my best to minimise the weight I was carrying. I got a Schick Quattro Titanium Trimmer Razor in Chile as I could both use it as a groomer and a razor. I was immediately amazed at how much sharper and pleasant these blades were compared to the Mach 3 ones. I was also amazed at how much more durable these blades were!I'm back from my trip now and I wasn't sure where I could get Schick blades in the UK.After a bit of googling, I discovered that Schick and Wilkinson actually belonged to the same company. So I ordered these blades and they fit perfectly. So if you are ever in doubt, Schick blades and Wilkinson blades seem to be interchangeable.I'd also like to mention the seller's customer service. I was in a bit of a hurry when I ordered these blades so I contacted the seller to ask him if he could send them faster. He sent them the next day and they got to the UK from Germany only two days after I ordered them!

Readers will be pleased to learn that these Blades will fit into the head of the original 1970s design of razor and onwards to the present day design ; the actual design of the head has not changed. Wilkinson led the field in multiple blade design but did not have the world wide distribution of Mighty Gillette and so they did a deal which allowed Gillette to use Wilkenson technology for a share into the know how of making the shaving head. Wilkenson are better known for their superior swords and at the end of WW11 King George V1 presented Stalingrad ( St. Petersburg) with the Sword of Peace inscribed and made by Wilkenson who still make swords and sharpen older models which are sent to U.K.particularly from the U.S and Canada.Morrisons Supermarkets have stopped selling the Wilkenson Sword Razors and replacement Heads in favour of Gillette and there is nothing wrong with Mighty Gillette, but if you favour a bit of history and support ' Made in Britain ' Amazon is the place to find the sharpest Blade made by Wilkenson since the Battle of Trafalgar. Now I must admit that I did not write this review, it was written by my husband whose code sign is jannarta and he was an C.P.O. and later a Lieutenant Clearance Diver in the R.N.

I use these blades to shave my head. I tried a number of other blades and wet razors and nothing, but nothing, offers the closeness of shave, comfort and blade longevity than the WS Quattro Titanium blades. For me, the four blade system designed by WS offer just about the perfect design of number of blades and design. The four blades in this Quattro design are a little further spaced apart than 5 blade systems and that is a really important consideration when head shaving as the blades don't clog quite so easily. Considering that I shave my full head to ultra smooooothness every day (plus an occasional full facial shave as well) it is fantastic that each blade lasts anywhere between 10-14 days before I need to change it.To be fair, I also find the design of the Quattro shaver handle also helps. I use the blades with an off-the-shelf shave gel (nothing fancy, nothing really expensive) and the blades work great. Once shaved, my head stays smoooooth right into the evening. My girlfriend loves it:-).I also have to give Amazon a mention here too for offering the 5 and 10 pack blades at a really great price (I haven't found cheaper yet) through their subscribe and save scheme. well done Amazon!

I've purchased Merkur blades for years, but they've recently become hard to get... so I checked out the reviews and went ahead and bought these Wilkinson Sword Classics for my double-sided Merkur Safety Razor.Comparing Wilkinson to Merkur:These blades are super sharp! I find the Wilkinson's have a slightly sharper edge than the Merkur's.A very nice close shave with about the same usage lifespan per blade.Quickly discovered that in a my stainless steel double-edged Merkur safety razor, apply even less pressure while shaving with these Wilkinson's blades (honestly, not sure if it's because the Wilkinsons are sharper, thinner, or possibly slightly wider,or if maybe the Merkur safety razor exposes more of the Wilkinson blade than the Merkur's), but regardless, after an ouch learning moment, it was a quick adjustment.I'm pleased with the Wilkinson's Sword Classic Double Edge Razorblades, and glad I can still use my perfectly good safety razor. Also, I like this 100-blade pack, which consists of the expected 20 smaller 5-blade containers.

I couldnt find the fantastic standard quattro blades, so i bought a Gillette.Big mistake, the Wilkinson sword is a far superior razor than any Gillette.I sincerely hope that Wilkinsons wont go down the Gillette route..and start marketing rubbish.Wilkinson, theres a place for a company like you, who makes the best razors, and please please dont keep changing the blades so that they dont work on our Quattro..im relieved to know the Titanium ones work on a standard Quattro razor. I bought the razor, yes, you can change the blades..just dont make them incompatible with the razor.I really cant recommend this razor enough, the blades last twice as long, the shave is fantastic, and stuff Gillette, who really have become a marketing hype, and a crap product. I just wish that Wilkinson would state on the box that the new titanium blades were compatible with the standard quattro and i would never have bought a Gillette in the first place.

Personally (and ethically), I'd say that Wilkinson are far better than t'other. The Quattro especially have always been very good and it's one of the few razors that I've found where the head doesn't come off while you're shaving or tapping the razor to expel hairs & foam/creme. After that's happened a few dozen times, you start to lose patience. So now these new blades are Titanium and have an extra blade on the top/back, for tidying 'burns and beardy sculptures. I was worried that they might not fit my old Quattro handle, but they do. Hip hip hooray. New and improved, and cheaper than the standard old blades. Bizarre but most welcome. So yes, they work well and yes, it was a good price.Shame I couldn't buy them locally at something approaching that price, otherwise I'd have done so. Always better to support the local, tax-paying economy, if at all possible.

The fact is for all the TV ads I saw for these in the 1970s especially, they might as well have been done by the McMaan and Tate Agency from "Bewitched"! It's like every guy gets more or less programed to get these razor blades, even if it's fifty years later! It's not just advertising jargon either. Obviously there is a clear quality basis for the advertising, making them the standard you judge other razor blades by. In the last few months I've used Merker and VD Hagen blades also, and they all have comparable durability and use quality. I expect eight good shaves out of a blade with one full pass, plus some more shaving on my special areas, and these deliver as you would expect. You should find that this is a superb bet razor blade brand which gives you a standard to go by as well.

I have been using these Wilkinson Sword QuattroTitanium blades for a couple of years now,and find them excellent quality. When I first started shaving I tended to followmy father's advice and used the same Gillettesafety razor blades that he used. As the yearsprogressed and I found that I had a mind of myown, I ventured toward Wilkinson's products andhave not looked back. Have now used Wilkinsonblades of various types for over 40 years. This quality blade is dependable, gives a smoothshave, with either foam or gel, I prefer to use thefoam, and one blade lasts at least a week, withone day letting the beard rest. The 8 pack from Amazon seems a reasonable price topay when you consider the higheralternativeprices from pharmacies and local supermarkets.A worthy product.

Over the years I've tried a number of cartridge and double edge razor blades and have settled on the Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium Sensitive to be the best of the bunch.First of all to confirm that the sensitive blades fit the same handle as the non-sensitive blades. They come in identical packaging and fit in the same way - I comfortably get five shaves from each blade with each shave consisting of face and head with WTG (With the grain) and ATG (Against).I find the non-sensitive blades are comparable to the Gillette Fusion but the sensitive ones cause less irritation - and they are a lower cost too making them an attractive option.I highly recommend these blades.

I have used these for years, and have never found anything better. The features I like are the wires across the blades that stop you nicking yourself, the additional trimmer blade, and the titanium coating which I assume is what gives such a long life to each blade. The reason I am now buying these from Amazon is that the Quattro blades sold by my local Sainsbury's are now the 'base model' - no titanium and no trimmer blade. I didn't spot this when I recently bought some, and found that the useful life of the 'base model' blade is much shorter, while the the lack of a trimmer blade a nuisance - a wasted purchase. So be careful what you are buying!

I have not yet used one of these blades for shaving yet but have confidence that theywill provide a good close shave and last for several shaves based upon the reviewsI've read written by others who have used them. Their cost is a little on the high side, but if they provide a week of quality shaves (as expressed in several reviews) thenthey will have earned their keep. Note that the number one blade (per reviews)seems to be the feather blades. However after about 5 shaves several users reportgetting nicked badly by feather blades. Thus after reading a lot of reviews I believethese Wilkenson Sword blades might best serve my purposes.

Having been a Gillette user for donkeys years, I kinda snapped when I was in Tesco last month when I price compared WS Titanium blades to G's Mach3. I bought the Wilkinson Sword two blade starter set and tried it the following morning. My goodness, what a difference. I wish I had changed over a long time ago - it turns out that the ad "Gillette - the best a man can get" isn't true at all - it's Wilkinson Sword! And at a cost of only 60% of the Gillette product it's a no brainer. The WS product gives a one pass close shave; you dont have to keep sweeping up to get a close shave. Brilliant. The blades, so far, last much longer. Well done WS.

UPDATESo... I thought I found the perfect solution for the very expensive Quattro for women blades. But I discovered that the men's ones are less sharp and when shaving the bikini area they irritated my skin and I had to throw them away after just one use. So I'm back with the Papaya & Pearl "lady" colour, extra expensive Women's Razor blades. Sorry.****************************Ladies... this fits perfectly for your women version. And it's half the price!! I've never been so aware of the pink tax until I bought this. Is the exact same thing but advertised for men. Therefore, is cheaper. It's honestly ridiculous.

I stopped buying brand razors in the supermarket as soon as I realized the price difference between online and offline retailers. This is a product I buy again and again simply because this is a product I need regularly.I use to use cheap disposable razors and while I did save money my face paid the price. I cannot speak for all brands but I can say that I would not buy a disposable razor again if i could help it, the difference and comfort of the shave is very noticeable. The product could still be priced more competitively.
