Much quieter than my previous kettle and such a fab colour pop in the kitchen. Excellent capacity. The spout doesn't dribble or spit boiling water at you...wonderfully tranquil sound as it pours! If I had to pick something out it would be that the chrome coloured handled and especially the base, look a bit plasticy. Great kettle thoughUPDATE May2020; as the kettle boils, steam travels down the handle. Needed oven gloves to pick it up as hot steam coming out. If you wait for the steam to stop, the water is off the boil...not ideal for tea-making. Contacted the Seller who was brilliant and got it replaced. However, same happened again. The brilliant Seller replaced it yet again; couldn't fault their CS in any way.

Easily the best looking kettle for any kitchen - both modern and traditional. Excellent build quality and smooth pouring action. Boils in good time. However, I’ve noticed that after boiling, condensation builds up on the inside of the lid (obviously!) and if opened fully straight after use the condensation has a tendency to drip down the outside of the kettle where the lid overlaps the casing, on to the base and then our work top. Not great if you’re like me and you choose to empty / de-steam your kettle straight after use (as advised). I can only put this down to a design flaw rather than a manufacturing fault. Only a minor niggle but irritating nevertheless for such a well constructed and expensive kettle.

Lookswise, this kettle is up there with the best. It performs well; quiet and quick. There are two points for future buyers to be aware of. The kettle is heavy before water is added and so it is difficult to assess how much water is left in the kettle. It does have a see-through facility to see the water level but this is situated behined the handle and is difficult to see . That said, it is so stylish I am willing to put up with the niggly bits

We bought the red one and it looks fab! It really stands out against the black granite. The design is good, it pours well...and... it boils water! Who'd have thought it. A few reviews I read said the base looked cheap - I don't think so. It is quite heavy when full, but it feels quality and I'm sure it would be criticised if it was light as being cheap! It has that chunky feel you associate with how their products look. Really pleased so far.

I brought this in replacement of the 2015/16 model where’s my Smeg turned into a meg as the ‘s’ kept falling off This 2017/18 model is higher than my expectations, has the same 2d look ast the toaster and the ‘s’ does not fall of so it remains a Smeg. Really happy with my purchase, looks stylish in kitchen, boils quickly, and water hotter than usual kettles. Extremely satisfied with my purchase :) :) :) :) :)

I bought this a couple weeks ago and already I'm extremely impressed with all the features as well as the overall design of the kettle. Very impressed with the fact that it boils in less than a minute, much less than my previous kettle. The only downside to this item is that when it is lifted it is slightly heavy. Overall I am impressed with this item and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

This is a well made kettle, as it should be for the price I paid. Time will tell whether it is good value for money. I have one word of warning. The weight of the empty kettle is 1.4 kg. The capacity is 1.7 litres, so a full kettle would weigh 3.1 kg. This may be a problem if you have a weak wrist because the handle is on the side rather than the top, which puts more strain on the wrist.

Love this kettle. It looks great as it's such a pretty pink colour. It's fairly quiet and if you just boil 2 cups of water it takes 1 minute - I timed it. 4 minutes if it's 'full'. Stylish, 3d lettering which is great. Comfortable to hold. Sometimes you have to wiggle the kettle to see where the water line is but so what - it is a great quality beautiful looking kettle. It's worth it.

Love my smeg kettle, lots of people comment on it so eye catching.I have never had a kettle that boils so quick so I also love that feature.Push button feature on the top that automatically opens the lid is cool.The only thing I would say is that it is a little heavy so not for everyone.It is pricey but if you can get a bargain totally recommend it.

I ordered the kettle and toaster together , the kettle arrived which I am very happy with but then to be told the white toaster is no longer available even though it was put in the sale after ordering it - now means I have to go out and buy the toaster somewhere else , wouldn't have kept the kettle if I knew the toaster wasn't coming

This is the the second smeg kettle I’ve bought, the first one only lasted about 18 months, I bought a second because I like the look and it matched my smeg toaster I hope this one lasts longer or I will not be buying smeg again, the only thing I don’t like about it I think it’s very heavy to lift when water is in it.

Cracking kettle that does the job nicely. You can get a much cheaper kettle with good looks and efficiency, but sometimes a little extravagence can be justified. The kettle looks great with the toaster. Retro Italian design at its best. I only hope it stands the test of time otherwise it's back to Asda's best!

I've had this kettle for a week now and am delighted with it. It is a lovely shade of pink and compliments my kitchen decor beautifully. It is quite heavy which I hope is a sign of quality and quiet in operation which is nice in the early mornings when I don't want to wake up others in the house.

Gorgeous kettle, very stylish and top quality. I love the soft press opening button on the top, I wasn’t expecting that, also the little mesh insert in the spout is actually made of metal not plastic like most kettles.Granted it is expensive but I think it is well worth the money.

After coveting this for 2 years the item didn’t fail to disappoint. The 2017 model is much more sturdy than the old version and hopefully will mean that the ‘s’ wont fall off after a few too many boils. I have the full set now and they look gorgeous as a collection.
