Have a few Ryobi tools now and they all seem very good quality and pretty robust, so I don't expect much different with this latest addition which I bought for cutting bits of fencing etc. as I'm developing arthritis in my elbow which becomes particularly uncomfortable when using a traditional saw for any length of time. Found this cuts through timber with ease so I can also get jobs done far more quickly. Have been using it fitted with a Ryobi brand 1.5 Ah battery which has already had fairly regular use with my other Ryobi tools, however after an afternoon of use the saw is still cutting strongly suggesting power drain is not to heavy. Amazon initially suggested these were on back order and maybe I'd be waiting a month for delivery,

I have had ONE+ tools for a few years now, a hand drill, a power screwdriver drill, a strimmer, and now this reciprocating saw.As ever, the quality of Ryobi is amazing, but this is a different level. It is SO well made.Se have moved to a new home with an enormous garden and loads of things to cut, from steel, for welding, through to fence posts, tree branches and many others. This tool is absolutely invaluable. I have ordered a Bosche set of blades for all the other stuff. The blade that comes with it is fine, but not enough for all the work I need to do.

This saw does everything I've asked of it - chopping up fence panels and pallets, pruning trees & cutting plastic pipes. It needs a good battery, minimum 4amp, ideally 5, as it uses lots of juice. It will run on one as low as 1.3 amp but will soon run out of power.Check prices elsewhere, I purchased from B&Q and it only cost £60.Bought Ryobi blades which are excellent but also purchased a pack of Umi branded Amazon blades for £12.99 and I can't tell any difference. Will be buying again if I ever need to.

So I love the fact the Ryobi battery goes in all my tools (and I now have a great collection), I needed to help my sister with fitting a loft hatch, needed a new toy for the job - this is it, cut through the joists and ceiling like a hot knife through butter, absolutely love this toy, it's not too heavy, but would recommend you used two hands unless your a big handed person. My sisters boyfriend is so impressed with my Ryobi collection he has switched brands and has started his own.

This was a perfect addition to my Ryobi line up. My old Black and decker wired reciprocating saw bust so I needed a new one. On the pictures it looks small and lightweight but it is reassuringly big and solid in real life. Easy to use and powerful, it made light work of some tree lopping and branch cutting. My only complaint is that comes with one blade however I bought a roll of 3rd party blades, all of which work in the Ryobi. Great purchase.

Comfortable design. Blade that comes with it isn't great so invest in a set of decent Bosch blades at same time. Trigger lock is good to prevent accidents. Blade release is plastic and feels like it's being forced when releasing. Hopefully this won't be a problem but reassured with 3 year guarantee. Would have preferred a metal mechanism here. Performs well as expected from Ryobi. Overall happy with the purchase

Only way I know to quickly and easily trim a heavily overgrown hedge too springy for a chain saw and branches too thick even for heavy duty branch cutter. Also sawed through thick roots on tree stump allowing it to be prised out with a pick axe.Well powerful.

I was a big fan of Ryobi's One+ reciprocating saw which is very useful - especially in the garden. This is a much heavier duty affair - on a par with the Milwaukee Sawzall. With the correct blade it will saw through just about anything.

This is a superb reciprocal saw it soars through pipes wood and items so easily high-quality item and the facility of using batteries which you already own makes it very very inexpensive to purchase brilliant item highly recommended

Slightly heavier than anticipated, but nevertheless, happy with purchase. Ordered to be able to easily cut tree branches & larger wooden odds & sods. Already have other Ryobi tools, so have the batteries already.

Like all reciprocating saws this one is on the heavy side but it's easy to use and not too tiring. With a decent blade on it I've demolished an old wooden garage with no cutting issues at all.

This is a useful tool for round the garden, small trees and branches etc. I bought a set of blades with it as the ones that come with it are basic.

Excellent piece of kit, well worth the money. Trims and lops branches with ease up to about 6 inches diameter, 15 centimetres.

I did not dislike anything I found it done a great job I have used it on just about everything no problem
