I have used this to prepare attic floor panels, working in a cramped and awkard working area with poor lighting. The saw is very compact and has a variable speed trigger. Supplied with the small 100mm blades - the wood one is perfect for cutting the chipboard panels. As its 1-handed use I could hold the planks etc with my spare hand and also jam my knee against it. Best to get a workbench up there as the additional vibration slows down the sawing. Clean and precise cuts, I also want to use it for plunge cutting to do a U shape around the beams. Also has a front-mounted LED though its not very bright, so I use the Bosch VariLED work-light as well which is great at throwing out bright light. The 10.8V batteries don't last very long so definately have 2 spares. Bosch should be releasing the 12V 2.0Ah packs this February and I will definately buy a few of them for the additional oomph and runtime.Great little saw, very pleased with it.

The L-Boxx it arrived in was dusty and one of the clips is faulty so it doesn't stack. The saw is good, cuts efficiently but can tend to jump about so a firm grip is needed. Also, the blade tore the last few mm of some pine wood i was cutting but that have been my fault for expecting the blade to slice all the way through before removing it from the cut. Leaves a rough edge so would need sandpapering for smoothing. I don't use the saw long enough to exhaust the battery before recharging so cannot comment on the duration of each use, but charging doesn't take long. The on/off switch isn't reassuring so I wouldn't like carry the saw in my pocket! Overall, suits my purposes for cutting scrap timber but for anything important I'd prefer a jigsaw. To be on the safe side, I prefer to remove the battery before removing the blade and the battery holder clips? are rather stiff. I've given it 4 star because of the L-Boxx condition.

This sabre saw is light enough to hold easily in one hand, yet cuts through wood, plastic and even metal with ease. Its design makes it much easier to use than a jigsaw, because you can bring it down vertically on top of a piece of wood you're holding with the other hand. This makes it ideal for such tasks as cutting mitre joints, as you can see exactly the depth to which you're cutting - with a jigsaw, the baseplate gets in the way and the blade itself is pointing away from you as you cut.Yes, it's expensive, but it does come with two batteries which charge fairly quickly. But it's worth it: the balance is excellent, making it lightweight enough to be able to use in any position without tiring.I've owned many power tools, most of them designed for cutting wood in some way, but the convenience, power and balance of this makes it the best tool I've owned by a long margin. Highly recommended.

Machine itself is a great purchase!...Easy to use, seems durable after significant use cutting through 18mm thick subfloor. Also used to cut tight plastic toilet seat nut off which just wouldnt move with a wrench!I bought the machine only WITHOUT batteries. Amazon set only offers 2.5amp batteries and they are not up to any length of work, so the set was not value for money. I bought 2 x 6amp 12v batteries & charger from an indep. retailer and the 6amp batteries give you no worries about time in use. Machine is light and cordlessness means you can get on with job that much quicker & the blades can be put in the reverse direction too.Ive still not read the manual so i guess it must be easy to use :-)

Excellent little saw. Has so many uses. I have quite a few of the Bosch 10.8v range so the bare tool was the way to go. Used it with the bigger 4AH battery and it has quite a bit of power, The lightweight single handed design make it very easy to use and cut in awkward places. You need to use it appropriately of course. It won't cut down huge branches but for light pruning in the garden, it is just the job. It takes the standard Bosch type blades, even the longer ones for greater access, and blade changing is quick and easy. All in all a welcomed addition to my fleet of Bosch 10.8 tools.

Like all Bosch Pro tools, this saw is the usual high quality offering. This kit includes two batteries, a case and charger and is good value. This is quite small, and hence is not for cutting 4" fence posts! However, for small jobs it is excellent - it is light weight, comfortable to use and quiet. The blade is easy to change - two different blades are supplied for general wood cutting and a finer 'hacksaw' type blade.I have so far used it to cut wood, metal and plastic, and it has handled them with ease.

I bought this primarily for use in the garden, where it mostly does work well although can be hard to use effectively. You need to keep the blade guard / sole plate in contact with the workpiece otherwise you'll get a lot of vibration and not much cutting – this can be hard on flexible branches and overhead. Here, it's small size and weight work against it. But, when you use it correctly it cuts brilliantly. It has also proven very useful for cutting pipes, conduit, metal and other bits and pieces.

Tool feels real sturdy but with enough weight to keep it stable without it feeling heavy. Just been cutting through some 60mm branches in the garden. Probably took about about 40 seconds per branch but this is quite acceptable. Bought the set that comes with two batteries. Am very impressed a battery can be recharged in 30 mins. Another bonus is the small light that illuminates the work area. I have various other saws but can see myself going for this one first for most jobs. Thoroughly recommend.

if youre working with small metal sections then this is the perfect thing for you. I was doing lots of 10mm steel tube and various sizes of aluminium and it went through every time. using it on around 10-30 cuts in material from 5mm steel to m10 studding to 50mm ali it kept going for a few days on a charge. not for heavy duty all day constant use but for 90% of people itll do.and its around 100x better than doing everything with a hacksaw.

I had a makita 10.8 saw but sold it because of the lack of power so when I got this I was thinking of the lack of power, I'm very surprised of this saw as it cut through 2x6 in seconds not at all like the makita and yes they are the same power 10.8 and 12v are the same, there is online that tell you why this is so have a look you'll see, over all easy to use and for its size does some big jobs but get the bigger batteries

Already had the drill driver and impact driver set with a few 12v batteries. Adding this has been a great addition very powerful have used to cut through garden tree branches, Metal ladder and many other jobs. Very impressed by it's small size and great power. Would recommend purchasing the Bosch Professional blades for this as they have longer length and will cover wood, metal, plastics.

Very good product i didn't read the details correctly so i had to buy the battery and charger afterwards. The product has worked very well so far i have managed to cut down all the hedges and branches i wanted to in my back and front garden it ran out of charge a few times but the recharge time is quite quick & i managed to complete the work i brought it for

This is a great saw for cutting thin sheet steel, holes in plasterboard, plastic trunking and a host of other medium/light duties. If you start to cut 4" fence posts and the like don't press too hard as you will stall it, but it is not really designed for that type of work. Make sure you choose the correct blade for the task and this is a good tool.

Bought this to cut holes in my boats floor were access is restricted, my floor is 1/2” oak on top of scaffolding planks this cut through them like butter. It may be Down to the quality of the blade but still a fantastic bit of kit.Battery life is good using a 3Amp/Hr battery.Construction is very good and feels good in use.

This is for my hobby so didn’t need anything too big and powerful but was well surprised when cutting through 18mm plywood how easy it was, I bought the 6ah battery to go with it as heard this would make a big difference and so after trying out I was pleasantly surprised, well worth the outlayNigel
