Heats up as fast as I'd expect a DC iron to heat up (fast) - ready to solder in under a minute. No more crazy overheating gas iron!Would have been nice to have a temperature adjuster. It runs hot - I can see it vapourising the flux in the solder - but then I use leaded and It's prob set for most users who use lead free. Hence I gave it 4/5Perfect at £40. Bit silly at much more.Thickness? I gave it 5/5 as it was as thick as I expected.Sheerness ? Hmmm. Nope - could not see through it, nor did it come from Kent, but I still gave it 5/5

Im on a mission to have all the Ryobi gadgets ! This one didn't disappoint. Have used it for several hours it gets up to temperature esily and is at home with delicate electronics or heavier cables using lead free solder which sometimes is a bit of a pain to reflow. Its compact to store off battery and is a good addition to any service kit which uses One+ system.Right Im off to buy the one+ dust extractor, Ill let you know

Wow, I could have never imagined how easier a cordless soldering iron had made the jobs I have been doing.Not having to find sockets, and even being able to use this at the side of the road has been a godsend.It heats up and cools down quickly, and I have plenty of batteries as I use the Ryobi One+ system for all of my other tools.No downsides at all, I couldn't be happier.

Unlike the previous reviewer, I had no issues with the iron's fit in the stand, mine is fine. And it heats up very quickly. The iron itself looks very well built, and has a nice rubberised grip. The stand is smaller than expected. My only minor gripe is the cable could have been better quality, but it is only a minor gripe.

It’s Ryobi. The product speaks for itself. As with all my Ryobi products (I have quite a few now). This is another brilliant piece of kit. Heats up in under 60 seconds. Gets very hot the soldering is so fluid using this. Could of supplied a sponge to clean the tip. Very good price. Would highly recommend.

I am a Ryobi convert, I have to say that I am very impressed, as you are using the one plus battery system it’s so portable I have been able to use this in my dining room and also the shed with no hassle.It gets hot within 2 minutes and is one of the easiest irons to use. Five stars from me.

Love this soldering iron, one of the best I've ever owned at this price range. Would love to see a flexible, heat resistant, silicone cable that is about 50cm longer on the next generation but other than that it's brilliant and worth every penny. I use with a 3ah and 5ah battery

Great little addition to the One+ armoury, only used on a couple of small repairs but quite impressed(as much as you can be with a soldering iron) heats up almost instantly! Tactile a good value. Only improvement could be a bit of storage for tips and wire would be handy

What can we say about the Ryobi cordless soldering Station Brilliant bit of kitIf I have to say anything bad about it there is you only get 1 spare tip. but that's not the end of the world.We ordered this couple days before but it was damaged in transit

My husband has been hankering for one of these for a while. He loves it as it makes it far more convenient without being tethered by a wire. So far he has only been using it for low melting point solder so cannot comment on temperature the iron reaches.

Had this for a couple of months now and it’s brilliant, only gripe is that it automatically turns off after about 15 mins but I guess that’s intended as a safety thing. I’m never going back to a gas solderer after having this.

its ryobi what else can i say... exelent tool ,it is versatile ,instant constant heat, best thing going for it is its portability, its at home on a workshop bench as well as using in cars, vans, etc

As ever I'm not disappointed with any ryobi product I've purchased, this soldering iron ticks all the boxes, quality product and very rapid at heating up and a long working time with the battery.

Had a few plug-in and gas soldering irons but this ones my favourite, heats up in no time at all & gives a nice indication when it is ready and when is cool enough to put away

Brought as a Christmas present and didn't know it was on my husbands' shopping list! He loves it. 100% satisfaction with all Ryobi tools and it will get a lot of use.
