I bought this thinking I must have paid too much, because there are lots of similar, but smaller, products from overseas at much much lower prices. But I have some other Proxxon equipment, and have been very pleased with that, so I bought this. I have not been disappointed. In fact, it i so easy to operate this, with its built-in lighting device, and the little shoe fr the base is very stable, so it sits on the bench all the time, and is in regular use. The burner can be lifted and fired up with one hand, which is very convenient. Would I buy another? Yes. Did I pay too much? No; the extra was worth it for the design features which make it easy to use and easy to adjust the flame.

I'd been wanting a mini-torch for years for those small soldering and heating jobs where my regular propane torch was simply too big. This little gem fits the bill perfectly. It appears to be well-constructed, and the separate gas and air flow adjustments permit precise regulation of the flame. The crowning touch is the piezo igniting system, that lights the torch every time on the first click. A little more expensive than some other, similar items on offer here, but the old adage about getting what you pay for certainly applies here.

I bought this for silver smithing. I needed a precise, smaller flame than my main blow torch (‘Max Flame’ blow torch from Cookson Gold) but couldn’t afford the more expensive torches like Sievert with the interchangeable nozzles. Small, compact, easy to refill, rarely needs a refill.I don’t know if this model has changed since a previous reviewer purchased it, but there is a switch on the torch that prevents gas being released. The knob that turns the gas on cannot be moved when the safety switch is on, so it’s definitely safe.5*

Compared to the other micro torches this one shows how it should be done.Flame control is very precise and stable due in part by the air control. Not the cheapest but better than ones costing considerably more.

Great little burner.I had never had any other burners. And I suspect that I newer will - this one looks like it is going to last for a lifetime. Can't see any faults in it.

Bought this for my other halves jewelry making. It's nicely made (as per most Proxxon stuff) and seems to work well. Easy to adjust the flame and no flame outs when in use.

I have had one of these burners before. The last one died after a lot of use over about a ten year period. They do a good job repairing musical instruments

Excellent gas burner. Particularly like the accurate control of the flame which is vital when using on a musical instrument.
