Bought without recomendation, i was waiting with bated breath, the arrival of this soldering set. When it arrived i was very impressed. The contents of the set are of high quality, easily usable, complete with full instructions. Each and every part of the kit is allocated it place within a blow moulded case, allowing for total safe portability of the item.Complete with two solder guns, one pen style, and one gun style, each torch heats up quickly and maintains the heat allowing for long term soldering without heat loss. Firstly, this is a transformer soldering gun, which means it's substantially different from a soldering iron. It's good in situations when excessive heat may cause damage and gives you a lot of control over the heat it generates. It heats up pretty quickly and does what it's supposed to without any problem. Comes with 2 spare tips, some solder, flux, instructions etc.For everyone who is whinging about 12 second operation in every minute I would suggest to learn about basics of soldering and how transformer soldering guns differ from other similar devices.

The item is actually very much what I expected, having used a similar product for some years.It is easy to use and to hold. However, the warning makes clear that the power should not be applied for more that 12 seconds in any one minute. The problem being that, initially, it takes longer than 12 seconds to melt the solderFortunately, any subsequent applications of solder to joint requires less than 12 seconds.Other than the foregoing, this is an excellent product.

I have purchased this item this morning for my fiancees Xmas gift.Went off - doing some Xmas Shopping and when I came backmy package was already at home!Don't know if its good or bad as I have order it as Gift, so it came already packed as a gift - but I am sure it it realy good!Can't wait till Xmas - my fiancee will love it!!!Also, I would like to thank you for a very fast delivery!Thank You!

This kit comes in a sturdy black case. With the gun there are different sized soldering bits,solder, and flux. This is an easy to use tool for all types of work. I use it for wiring on a model railway, this gun is more controllable than normal irons. Worth every penny.

Contains a 100W instant heat iron - great for one off jobsAlso contains a 30W iron - which is just what i needed for the type of work i am doingpity the soldering iron stand is very basic - would have prefered a better stand rather than the Magnifing glass

I started soldering as a 14-year-old hobbyist.Became a Telemech in REME WW2.On to civvi street radio/tv and hobbyist.Now, after 70 years I'm a model rail fan and stil soldering.THIS IS THE VERY BEST, MOST VERSATILE SOLDERING KIT I HAVE EVER OWNED!.

As a beginner i got to use it with out any problems and liked the low affordable price. Could have had one more extra Iron Tip. I would always recommend to trust the Company rather then which individual selling it.Keep it up.Thanks.

I really like this soldering gun. It can take on some pretty heavy jobs, such as soldering the heavy wiring for my radio control power packs and extra heavy motor wiring. Also soldering onto the steel motor casings is no problem.

Could do with a better stand and a cleaning sponge or wire but other than that a good little set to get you started. Only thing I'd say is missing is a smaller tip but for the money it's a small niggle.

This is the best soldering kit for people starting out, it has everything you need to solder/de-solder.If you have never soldered before or dont have anything for it, buy this kit!

Excellent tool. Not only a 1000W gun but also a standard soldering iron, solder, flux and a helping hand device with lots of clamps and a magnifing glass. Wonderful value.

Really happy with this, it's obviously not professional quality but has proven hugely useful for basic repairs - paid for itself twice over already! Really good value.

Provides all you need for electronic and general soldering. I found the soldering gun particularly useful. Prompt delivery. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
