I wanted a cordless vacuum for those times when you don't want to get the big mains powered unit out. I also didn't want to spend £400+ on one. I've bought a few Ryobi power tools over the summer and because of the One+ system have two batteries and a fast charger. I noticed this little vacuum with the floor care kit (basically an extension tube and a flat head) and for the price felt like I couldn't really go wrong.It's reaonsably powerful (loads better than the terrible dustbusters of old) and picks up loose dirt very well. It's not going to rip your carpets off the floor, but it is more convenient than getting a dustpan and brush out.The dust-bowl isn't very big and needs emptying pretty regularly,

I bought to replace the previous Ryobi handheld I have hoping the design was improved, it is marginally better but the filter is exactly the same and this is its weakness in my opinion. It does a good job of sucking up the dirt and dust but filter gets very dusty resulting in a lot of dust being blown out of the unit. I would recommend buying spare filters and changing them often. Once the filter has become dirty I wash them and this removes pretty much all of the dirt, but you then need to dry them. Anyone that has a Dyson will be used to washing filters anyway.I find the floor attachment the weak point, it's only really useful for light dirt or hard floors.

Bought this because I love the one+ range of tools and needed a vacuum cleaner for my car. I have 2 pugs of which one sheds a lot. I thought this may struggle getting the hair out of their seat cover but it didn't.This is absolutely brilliant.Like other reviewers comments about noise level I agree. This is very loud. But I can honestly say I will put up with the noise for the performance.I can't actually fault this unit. Some people mentioned that the pipe came loose when using it. I suggest put it on harder. I hoovered my wooden stairs and downstairs of our house and it never came loose once.As said previously, my only gripe is the noise level, apart from that it's perfect.

Excellent Vacuum for small areas like cars or Caravans, the extension tube enables cleaning in difficult to reach areas that the cleaner would be unable, otherwise to reach.Suction is good, but reduces quite quickly as the filters block up, but a quick brush off and power returns.Be aware the Battery does not come with this Vacuum as it is sold as an accessory to the Ryobi One+ range, the above comments are based on the use of the 18V 4.0Ah Battery, which I found had plenty enough charge to clean my estate car after a holiday in the Lakes with our dog. Therefore I feel this is an excellent product but if you don't have the batteries, the cost rises significantly.

I've extremely impressed with this vac.Very powerful and with the ability to swap in my 5ah battery I'll have no trouble with anything, perfect for keeping in the boot of the car, I can rely on it to do what it promises.I tested the floor care kit around the office, it's okay but a little wobbly (I'd have thought a bayonet fitting would have been better, rather than push fit) it doesn't have much articulation in the head - With that said, it's not meant for cleaning large areas so it's not too bad.All in all, I'm happy with it! Well worth the money.

Well built, does the trick but really only for messy workstations/garage workshop dust, maybe the car. When making a mess with sawdust on carpet, or plaster dust, this thing really can't cut the mustard. You'll end up using the houst vacuum afterwards. The paper/card filter trap blocks up within about 2.4 seconds with fine dust and suction drops off almost entirely. I'd say a better filter design could get those 2 stars for Suction back IMHO.

I got this because we already use the battery pack for a mower and needed something to do stairs as doing stairs with my nornal Hoover is bad for my back. This does the job. It's not as quiet as my Dyson, and doesn't get up the dog hair as well, but it is small and handy for stairs so is perfect for me. It's also useful for going around the skirting boards after I've hoovered with my normal vacuum. Considering the price it's great value.

Definitely worth the money, especially if you already have Ryobi batteries. Now don't compare this to a 220v vacuum cleaner, nor any of the 40v hand vacuum cleaner available,( which is about 8 times more expensive).Pretty noisy.And as usual with Ryobi, an idiotic instruction consisting of warnings for everything that can happen if you vacuum up gasoline or brake fluid, or chew on the battery :-)

Firstly this is a cordless vacuum so it will never compare to a normal vacuum.As a cordless vacuum it's brilliant.Quick and easy for the car.The floor attachment is brilliant for tiled and wooden floors but not as good on carpet and mats which is to be expected.Great price for a cordless vacuum.

This is cheap compared to the sheer quality of the product. A fully charged 5mah ryobi battery helps this clean up immensely well. Very surprised at this little product. The nossel works well. The only thing I think could be better is the flat carpet part of the cleaner but works ok.

The vaccum in itself is of good quality on the heavy side tho ,attachement is very rudimentary and doesn't really attached properly to the vaccum in a way it is constantly falling out, overall a good product but could be improved wih small touches .

I have a gtech handheld and got this as I have other one+ products and loads of batteries, didnt want to use the gtech on sawdust and other such waste, this thing is brilliant, sucks up more than my gtech and is a bargin for the price

what I did not like was the attachment comes off the vacuum when using it.also the small brush that is on the underneat the vacuum vibrates off.but it is still a good vacuum for the price,that's why only 4 stars for the ryobi vac.

Bought this for little bits around the house where a big hoover is a pain to drag out. I have already bought into ryobi so I have the batteries and chargers. Making this a cheap mobile hoover. Great for crumbs etc.
