With the wet season ahead of us, I've been looking for walking shoes that are both lightweight and waterproof, so that I can abandon my heavy hiking boots which were starting to feel like housebricks attached to my feet. These shoes are superbly comfortable and a perfect fit. Their first test was an eight mile walk along the South West coast path - no blisters, rubbing or pinching. They kept my feet dry all day despite the occasional long wet grass, and are as lightweight as my summer trainers. I'm a very happy hiker/dogwalker.

I had done a lot of searching on review sites before I ordered these walking shoes.I was a bit worried at ordering online as they are expensive . Been out for 2 or 3 walks and they are so comfortable and supportive. They fit me perfectly . I am a size 4 and have fairly slim feet so not sure how they would be for anyone with a wide fitting . Haven't tested the waterproof side of them yet . They look smart like trainers . Very pleased . Worth the money .

I am a huge fan of Merrell shoes and with doing more walking in wet conditions decided waterproof shoes would be useful! These are brilliant! They are lightweight, fit well, support my feet, and most importantly keep my feet dry - having inadvertently splashed through a deeper puddle than I thought and squished through a water/muddy covered path with no problems! Love them.

I went a full size up to allow for thick winter socks. I thought I had got them too big but decided to go with them and wore them outside and they are perfect being a bit on the larger side. The Gortex really works and although the top of the shoe is material and not leather they are waterproof. Light, strong and comfortable. Delivery was very quick.

Really comfortable. They look better with gym/sporty outfits than walking boots. They look more like trainers but with a lot more grip than most brands because they are made by a company that makes walking boots. Perfect for my jogging/power walking and also for hiking.

Lovely lightweight walking shoe, very good looking but I have wide feet and although they were the right length these were just too snug on the toe area even with thin socks on and having done no walking. Had to return them and stick with my normal North Face.

When I put them on for the first time this morning they felt so comfortable. I took the dogs walking while the dew was still heavy on the ground and my feet remained dry and comfortable. The fit is good nor are they too heavy. Definitely happy with them.

I was at a loss to choose a size and purchased a larger one. It feels a little big, but it's comfortable, neither thin socks nor too big. Gore-tex is safe especially in the rainy season. Because it is a plain color, it is also active in commuting.

As always Merrill doesn’t let you down. Extremely comfortable walking shoe that didn’t need ‘breaking in’. Comfort as soon as you start to wear them. Also feet were kept dry even when walking over fields in wet grass. Superb..

Best walking shoes I have ever had. True to size and very comfortable. I have had a big toe operation and since having done have struggled to find shoes to fit comfortably. Highly recommend and worth every penny.

Height 147 cm, weight 45 kg, usual shoe size 23 cm EE. Purchased for a 15 year old daughter. I loosened the string considerably, but it fits the shape of the shoe. You also liked the color scheme very much.

These are the most comfortable walking shoes I’ve ever owned. I walk the dog several miles every day & they were comfy from day one. Fit is good & the little water I have encountered, my feet remained dry.

I am a 5 1/2 in some shoes but a six in most.I had to send six back and get the 5 and a half.These still on the big side.These shoes clearly designed for people with long, thin feet.

Very happy with the purchase, the shoes are just what I was looking for, good sole, flexibility and lightness at the same time for my trekkings. Good delivery in a timely manner.

Gdeat product wife loves them and we can enjoy walks togther now. Good fit and very stable over rough ground. Also good for beach walks as very little sand ingress.
