This particular shoe is broad - particularly across the knuckles of the toes.For those who are broad in that part of their feet, you may find these are the only shoes that really feel comfortable.Need to take a bit of care initially tightening the laces so that it grips the feet and you don't get ankle-lift, but after a couple of weeks they seem to adapt to your feet.After four years of almost continuous use just gone on to my second pair - soles almost worn flat and stitching just beginning to go where they flex at the ball of the feet.Happy buyer - price is high, but I wear through cheap ones in a season and they are not as comfortable

This is my second pair, The first lasted over 2 years and are getting to look a bit shabby with the sticking around the toe is going BUT I wear them, every day . They are the most comfortable, 100% waterproof, lightweight, breathable walking shoe, I have ever owned

Excellent shoes - they have lasted over 6 months of daily use with no sign of wear or tearThey are comfy in the city and on the trails. Fit was as expected with regular socks - maybe order a size above if you plan on wearing hiking socks with them (Size 42)

Arrived promptly. Attractive, well made walking shoes. Bought these for my husband, who is extremely difficult to find footwear for. He has declared that these are very comfortable, which is praise indeed! I might even buy another pair...

On my third pair, using these over 20 years. Comfortable, v.durable and smart looking. A great all rounder so worth paying the extra. I miss the original soft leather lining but a fair trade off for dry feet with goretex.

I’ve had these to replace the same which were 10yrs old. The new ones are even better. Fit right, comfortable easier to get on

These shoes are the most comfortable my husband has had. They are well made and although quite expensive, worth every penny.

I had a pair of meindl Bhutan prior to these but had to sell them on as way too narrow in regular fit. These fit perfectly.
