.My boys, four and seven years old, were happy over the moon to get their hands on this set. It must be oh, I don't know, 30+ years since anyone bought me any LEGO. Since then I've developed struggles with PTSD and his relatives Depression and Anxiety, plus a spinal injury. My partner wanted to get me a little something to occupy me for a short while, and this did. I had loads of 'normal' LEGO as a child, but never Technic. It's a different way of building, and is nowhere near as intuitive as normal LEGO and that was great for me. You actually need to follow the instructions or it ain't going to work! Oh, and the pull back motor is great. It scared the willies out of my cat!So, forget giving it to your kids, get it for yourself. Go on - you know you want to!
