This set has great play value. The truck, trailer and separate car, each with a few functions, combine to provide fun for longer. Since the truck uses many long pieces, the model is big compared to the volume of pieces. One of the best features of this set is the ability to add more vehicles, such as 42093 Corvette. However, the extra vehicles need to engage with the arresting features of the platforms so that they don't roll off! The underside engagement location for 42093 is further forward than that of the supplied blue car, so it can be a challenge to fit the vehicles on without scraping the paintwork! I like the medium truck wheels (6 supplied) as they are like the super-wide front tyres on modern European trucks. The car wheels are great too; we have waited too long to get them as a replacement for the older Model Team wheels. What is needed is a new piece of a truck-diameter tyre for the narrower car wheel hub, so that we can make the authentic double rear wheels of trucks easily. The geometry of the truck loading functions seems to work well, 2 lifts and 2 ramps, though 42093 struggles to fit downstairs on the trailer. The single differential gear is authentic, since only heavy haulage truck have twin drive axles, though narrower rear wheels on the truck would be more realistic for a rear-steer or lifting tag axle. The new engine format, V-engines extending the straight-6 concept in Mack Anthem 42078, is great for smaller vehicles; with the irony that the car has a bigger engine than the Car Transporter truck. This keeps the previous engine blocks with larger pistons for ships and construction equipment. In the cars I would like to see opening doors in future; both the supplied car and 42093 are a bit short of functions. The steering rake could be better but this is normal for LEGO set vehicles. Perhaps the designers have a wide space to turn round in, rather than the confines of a populated house. The railing pieces, 27965 "Flex Tube 21 Module w/3.2 Hole", are new to the Technic theme. These may have possibilities in a remote control mechanism, though they would not have significant pushing torque. Pulling against a spring or belt would work. This may be a useful equivalent of the old flex system, with the advantage that a pulley could allow tighter turns than the previous flex elements and tubes; I would not recommend scraping through a beam hole for guidance, though pinching the end allows it to go through a beam hole. It looks like an 18mm or 24mm pulley would work well for turns but the smaller ones might be too tight to avoid deformation of the flex tube. I was also happy that the box was full when I opened it; 2/3 full was usual before. Using less cardboard is better for the environment and also allows limited shelf space in shops to be better stocked. As a further environmental improvement, I would like to see an alternative for the type 4 and 5 small plastic bags that are not recyclable in the UK. Could recycled Type-2 bottle materials be used? Those can be formed into a reel of material now. A real car transporter could carry up to 13 cars. This would have been interesting to build but it would not have added to the play value of the set and would have needed better car-holding features, so what we have is about right for the 11+ age group. Perhaps Adult Fans of LEGO will try building a bigger one?

A most satisfying build, you can make sure the moving bits are working properly before the build is complete. As an owner of a Corvette ZR1 model, that was put into/onto the transport to corroborate LEGO's claim and it did, albeit a little tight on the lower deck. 'Driving' the cars onto the transporter is relatively easy, that said the Corvette appeared to have a tendency to roll forward when at ths front on the upper deck, this was cured by running one of the extra Safety Ropes/Chains, used on the upper deck of the vehicle to comply with H&S regulations, between the front 2 stantions, this will lay just above the bumper, and stop any forward movement. Excellently forward thinking by LEGO.Being of an inquisitive nature, I had to see if the DB5 would also fit. Lower Deck - No, the roof fouled the underside of the upper deck, smaller wheels on the DB5 or a slightly bigger transporter needed; Upper Deck - yes, but only on the trailer. If on the main upper deck, it makes life extremely difficult to put on a 2nd car. Both the DB5 & the Corvette lock onto the luggs to prevent roll back. It would be nice to see a transporter that will take the Chiron and the 911 GT3 RS.All in All, another LEGO gem.

This was a really fun build. Up until now I have been drawn to the Expert sets. This set was engaging in that it was neat to see how block-building differed from Technic. The result is a nice piece with useable and logical features that enhance the experience. I can't wait to take it apart and do the 2nd build. One area of concern is that this is the 3rd set in a row that was missing a piece. That said, with everything going on with COVID19, I am thankful that LEGO staff is employed and understand that is possible to miss something during these trying times. What I would like to see are additional vehicles that can be incorporated into the theme beyond the Corvette. In addition,it would be nice if these vehicles could have more complexity, similar to the Expert vehicles, verses the prefabbed body panels and rudimentary look and feel. I would also recommend that these vehicles fit the truck & trailer, and be secured on the truck/trailer the same as the vehicle provided in the box. Incorporating these suggestions would significantly enhance the experience (which was really good).

This has been a great build. Technic is my favorite Lego format, and this set showcases all of the intricacies that make me love Technic. I already had the Corvette prior to getting this set, and I love that it is compatible. The included blue car is quite nice. The popping pistons and steering are great features. I really wish Lego would make more cars compatible with this set, though. The two cars fit well on the transporter, but it looks really bare without more. The transporter itself is really fun. My daughter likes that the ramps and platforms are mechanically raise and lower. But, like me, she thinks the set needs more cars. No other Lego vehicles besides the blue car and Corvette are scaled appropriately. In short, the set is fantastic. But it is also very empty without more cars. So please make more!

I like this set, it really looks quite nice and the functionality is also well engineered. After I finished building it I was thinking about building a few additional identical cars (in different colors) and placing them on the transporter. When I started looking into that I noticed there is a small issue with the position of the latches which are used on the front upper deck to latch the cars in place. The distance between those is 32 studs, whereas the car is 35 studs long. Consequently it wouldn't be possible to place two cars of this design here. It really isn't a serious issue since it's fairly straightforward to extend the upper deck by a few studs and shift the latch positions accordingly. But still, it's a shame for an otherwise very nice set.

Being in the automotive industry, I knew I had to had this set the moment I saw it. I purchased this set at my earliest opportunity and started working on it the same afternoon.I did thoroughly enjoy the build experience and I was appreciative of the lack of repetitive building elements for as large as a model as this is.As fun as the truck/trailer are to play with, I was also really impressed with the blue car as it seemed like it could sell as a stand alone model.I am also appreciative of the fact that you can expand the experience with the addition of the ZR1 Corvette model (which is next on the purchase list). Now if Lego would only come out with more compatible car models...

I recently bought this set after thinking about it for quite awhile. I had a few of the creator expert vehicles and wanted a different way of displaying them. I’m so glad I did. My girlfriend and I took turns building this set and a few others. Play functions are great, price per part/ volume is great as well. I did have a technic panel that was the wrong part and was missing a few technic pins as well. However Lego did very speedy customer communication and I had the piece I needed within a week. Good on you guys for that! I have recommended this set to others and have considered buying another to display more cars myself. Best non licensed vehicle set Lego has ever made!

I am only finished the car and the tractor (plus the Corvette, of course) and this is already one of my favourite Lego sets. It's not perfect, but not difficult to build and the functionality is pretty good. The look is just right (although the car tires don't fill the wheel arches as well as I'd like to see them) and the way the cab tilts is ingenious. I am looking forward to building the trailer and completing the set. I was hoping to buy an additional corvette and swap the orange parts for red or black for an extra car, but the stickers will not permit that. That leaves the obvious question... When are we getting 3 more cars to complete the load?

Looked forward to being able to purchase this set. The overall mechanical functions are great.Had difficulty installing / removing connector pin for trailer due to restricted space. Also using an axle / cross hole is too much pressure required to install / remove.I changed hitch on trailer, extending it two more holes to give more room to easily remove pin from coupling point. Also, the transition from trailer to truck on lower level ramps was uneven. I added swing legs under ramps from trailer to truck. Lines up just right.

great kit especially with the orange vette onboard and ofcourse to fill it make the hotrod and the red car and truck. Only gripe is the top rails that are supposed to emulate wires etc. due to the very thin black rods you put them over they bend in and are tight so the "wires" are all droopy. Maybe a thicker pole is needed or stronger wires so they look tight and rigid. Apart from that a great build

It was a no brainer for me to order this carrier when it was released. Great assembly, and love it came with one car. I paired it with the 42093 ZR1 kit as well. The ZR1 does not snap into place to prevent it from moving (like the supplied blue car) but it fits perfect. Everything moves really nice and the kit is large. Comparable to the Mack truck set too, which looks good next to this kit.

I bought this when it first came out and I love it. I am a real Technic Fan, especially the bigger trucks and cranes. This kit is great. I also bought the Corvette but there are still 3 vacant spaces. I hope Lego will release 3 more cars to fit on the carrier because any of the other offerings just don't have the right look...............

An easy technics build, lots of nice features for extended play with working car ramps and tailgate. Bought the Corvette to fit this & looks good with both cars in situ. Am sure younger builders will enjoy playing with this. Hoping Lego will bring out another couple of car that will fit so can add more to it

This lego technic set was a bit more challenging than previous technic sets I have built. A lot of new parts are involved and the build was fun and fairly easy. Ideal gift for birthday or christmas and for any age or gender. Great fun to play with once built and can be made into a second model.

Since my early ages I always admired this kind of transporter trucks. They were so fascinating with all those cars piled neatly on them. And now I am able to build one myself! Thank you!I also have a question... Does the First Responder 42075 fit on this truck like the Chevrolet 42093?
