The tie dagger scene was likely the highlight of the trailer for the Rise of Skywalker. It removes the blocky wings of the older tie fight for the sharp triangles we find here. Completing the model was relatively quick; it was done in under 30 minutes. When complete it is quite a big model - it's roughly a square 22cm - unlike the more expensive Ren's shuttle or millennium falcon though most of this is empty space. The dagger shape of the wings results in something that cant stand up. Lego include a stand; it works well but the two struts of the stand look clunky if you are putting the model on display. So it's a shame they didn't make a single stand to hold it up.The 3 mini-figs are good character representations; and the screamy face on Finn brings a smile to my face (if you want a smiling face you just need to turn it around.) The hair with its blobs is a bit weird. The Tie pilot has a hose on his helmet that I haven't seen before - the hose lines up with the design of the figure and looks great; finally there is a Knight of Ren; the only other place you can get these is on Kylo Ren's shuttle set.If you are playing with the model; there are two firing lasers that work by pressing the grilles on the triangular wings. The wings are attached robustly to the central cabin using clear bricks to help with the strength - so it will stand up to some intense play. The cabin opens from the top and front; and has space for the a mini-fig to sit. If you have the x-wing model you can clearly have a lot of fun with the pair. Then put it to rest on its stand when you are done. The price of the LEGO Star Wars sets has nudged up with the latest film and this is likely a set for the true followers of the Sith. There are hours of play in the set; especially if you are lucky enough to have some rebel ships too. The quality of design in the sets is clearly improving with each iteration. The number of special pieces is clearly increasing as time passes - the triangular pieces for the wings here could be put to great use in future play. I do think this set at its launch price may be designed to sit on a shelf rather than fight an interstellar war.

I have a love hate relationship with Lego sets. Always fun to build and make nice displays, but since they are my children's they are really there for playing with. However after a while the kits invariably get broken apart and bits get lost, instructions get mislaid or thrown away and you're never able to re-build the model again. It feels as though these Lego sets are display items that can kind of be played with. Having said that, this set is one of the most sturdy I have had over the years and certainly stand up to the rough play that mid kids use it for.Building this set is a standard process, some complexity warrants the 9+ age rating, but my 7 year old was able to build most of it with only a small amount of help from me to identify pieces.Once put together the Tie fighter looks really great. There are quite a few unique Lego pieces in this set which help give it a nice look. On the cockpit area particularity the custom pieces help to give it a nice rounded finish. the stand also include 2 custom piece struts that give it a simple and clean look. This display stand is great for those looking to display the Tie fighter. Without it the Tie fighter tilts forward. Getting it on and off the stand is easy. Although the top of the stand has the usual Lego nodules to connect to the Tie fighter, there aren't many so it is easy to pull off without much force. The set comes with 3 mini-figurines, including the correct tie fighter pilot to put in the cockpit. The Tie fighter is fairly sturdy. We have a few aircraft models and the wings are always a weak-point and frequently brake off. I haven't had that issue with the Tie fighter so far. The potential weak-point would be the joint between the cockpit and the wings, but due to simple build of the connecting pieces and the pieces themselves being fairly large, it holds up well.Overall a really nice Lego set. Great for playing with and great for putting on display. I would certainly recommend.

Mix a Lego fan with a Star Wars fan and this is a dream come true. The Star Wars Sith TIE Fighter arrived in a nice image filled Lego box containing five numbered bags of Lego parts, one number one, two number two’s and two number three’s along with the construction manual.I opened it up I set about constructing it, the construction manual is as always a very nice glossy manual with a highly detailed step by step walk-through of the building process. After constructing the first section (bag number one) I moved onto the two bag number two’s, the reason there are duplicate numbers with bag number two and three is because of the construction of the wings having left and right hand pieces which are separated to make them easily identifiable, very good idea and makes construction a lot easier.I found the construction fairly straight forward and only managed to make a couple of errors which quickly became apparent and simply rectified, I had wondered how sturdy the built model would be but once constructed and it’s actually very sturdy, the stand is a bit lightweight although fine for display I would suggest removing it from the stand when moving it about. The model is a very nice representation of a Sith TIE Fighter and good addition to any Star Wars fans collection, the finishing is superb, the action figures have nice attention to detail transforming them into Lego and the two spring-loaded missiles work well and certainly shoot out fast coming with one spare should you lose one which we did :)Overall a very well put together kit, fun to make, high quality from top to bottom, the manual is really superb and easy to follow, construction is well thought out separating left and right handed pieces into separate bags, the Sith TIE Fighter looks great once completed so it gets top marks from me.

Bought this wonderful set whilst in a local toy store on Boxing Day, alongside the new and improved Kylo Rens shuttle. Fairly surprised to see new sets so early but the staff did say they were available for purchase and decided to pick them up. The price is fairly decent for what your getting. The fighter overall is great. From seeing it in the film it looks accurate. The set looks great displayed just as much as it is to play with. How the wings are built is also excellent. Personally including I thought was pretty good since I wondered how on earth this was going to stay up. The set is quite different compared to previous Tie fighters released. The shooters are embedded within the wings which I find cool. Not a fan of these missile shooters but this set was pretty great in the way which they are placed. The figures are great, always happy to add another FO Tie pilot to my collection. However with the red perhaps the variant pilot seen with a red stripe instead could've been included. The Knight of Ren is cool, looks awesome and the detail on his torso is well done. Finn I think is great, only con is that the face doesn't seem like Finn, more like he is from an animate show than the films. Though I can easily move past that. Overall an excellent set which I will enjoy displaying in my home. An excellent job by Lego as always in ensuring these sets are buildable and sturdy. Anyone who loves fighters, the First Order or Star Wars overall would enjoy this set.

This is not a complicated model to complete - and in some ways that’s a shame. But if you like your LEGO to be of the ‘build this exact design once and never take it apart’ style, as opposed to the ‘here’s a bunch of bricks - now be creative’ style, then you won’t be too disappointed. And if your target user is an avid Star Wars fan then it won’t take much persuading to engage and probably most of their imagination is in the storyline of Star Wars itself. It is a good likeness of the ship from The Rise of Skywalker with suitably shaped domed sections and the imposing triangular wings. There are 3 minifigures included, and with this being a new woke era of Star Wars that’s rubbing off on LEGO,the traditional yellow universal minifigures just don’t cut it anymore. There are a couple of functional parts to the model, and I like that there is a stand for it which they refer to as a ‘Docking Tower’ but we all know it’s going to be used to position the model on a shelf. For a price of c. £60 (at time of review) that really is a lot for something that doesn’t feel hugely intricate, but then it is Star Wars so you’re going to pay through-the-nose for it anyway. I’m sure if the movies didn’t garner as much attention then these associated LEGO sets wouldn’t be commanding such high price-tags. If it’s going to be used as part of a playset instead of just a model then you best hope they don’t lose interest in Star Wars too quickly in order to justify your outlay.

This wasn't my build. The boy decided he wanted to try Lego as he could see I was obsessed, of course that means he has got the bug as bad as I have. One of the lines he really likes is the Star Wars vehicle range and when I was looking for kits for me I spotted this one and decided to be a nice mother and get it for him for no reason other than LEGO!Pretty standard Lego build and it took him 2-2.5 Hours to build (he doesn't really time himself like I do). He did enjoy it but we had a few issues balancing the finished vehicle on the stand - this was entirely the boy's fault as he didn't look at the instructions properly and gave me dodgy information. One glance at the instruction pic and I figured it out.Looks pretty good completed BUT the wings bug me, it needs finishing with tiles or something, the bare brick look just looks unfinished somehow. Might buy a shed load of different size tiles in black to cover it over just so it doesn't annoy my eye as much. The actual personnel capsule is really good though and is nicely finished.Worth it to build up your ship range but not a must have.

Got this wonderful set a couple days ago. It's a very good representation of the Final Order TIE fighters used during the Battle of Exegol in The Rise of Skywalker. The red accents and triangular panels give the fighter an aggressive appearance which befits its Sith origins. Additional detail on the set is provided by a few printed pieces; to my great pleasure there are no stickers. The fighter is solidly built and would likely hold up under play by a child. That said, the completed set is a bit on the heavy side which makes it a bit difficult to "whoosh" around. I am particularly happy with the triggering mechanism for the wing-embedded spring shooters--it's is very clever design. The only thing I would knock this fighter for is that it's a very tight fit in the cockpit for the pilot. The stand for the fighter is a nice addition since the fighter cannot stably rest on its wings. The print on all three minifigures is exceptionally well done.

For the money you would think this set would have been better detailed. Took off 50 Lego's and added best part of 200 more to sculpture somewhat into shape. Widened 2 2/3 bricks, lengthened 2 1/3 bricks many by moving cockpit and fuselage back where it should be. Reworked the Ion engine so it is square to cockpit, Got rid of the dark gray wing divider bricks and added black wedge plates and bricks. Filled the wings inside & out with plates & tiles and sharpened the light gray wing details.About the only things not changed up are the nice cockpit, cannon layout, and red & black wing wedge trim. I give this set a five star because it kept me busy so long coming up with my own detailing,Ole Kirk Christiansen would be proud it did so!

With fantastic quality and great toys for kids and adults, the only problem is that they are no cheap, but the quality product is fantastic always. This "LEGO 75272 Star Wars Sith TIE Fighter" is a really good replica and great design. The pieces are well made and they come all of then.Kids, teenagers and adults are really fanatic of Lego and if you like Start Wars this is a great idea.I had to admit that I had so much fun and was very relaxing for me to set this Lego. My 9 year old grandson is going to love this! He is an avid Lego builder and collector, he has just had more shelves put up in his room to display his Lego collections and he's also keen on Star Wars so this one is definitely a winner. With 470 pieces to put together this will keep him amused for ages. The instructions are easy to follow. This is the Sith TIE fighter from The Rise of Skywalker Movie Series. Once assembled the model measures approximately 8 x 9 x 8 inches and there are many features for him to play with, including 3 mini figures with weapons. Like all Lego toys this is well made and robust.

Ok, i'm 35 but sill big fun of the Star Wars and Lego too, best combination for me :). We were spending hours of fun to work together with my partner on this Sith TIE Fighter set from the new The Rise of Skywalker movie, and now we are planning to buy more Star Wars LEGO add ons. Very well made set , very detailed exactly as the story is depicted in the movie. Comes with 3 mini figures and 470 legos to build the fighter. It takes about 1-2 hours for this project, but if you read the instruction book probably will take a bit shorter time to build it :)

This product is really well presented in the box, all pies come separated into numbered bags and each number correlates the a sections to be built following the instructions provided. It feels good quality and the design is impeccable. The finished build is not too large that it would be unable to be stored, but also not to small that it would be difficult to see of displayed.Suitable for a wide range of ages, my 2 year old liked building this, as did my husband who is 25.

With 470 pieces in the box it will keep anyone busy. As with all Lego sets, the instructions are easy to follow for all age groups. Once built the Sith TIE fighter has 3 different characters to use.The pilots cockpit can be opened and characters placed inside. It also has a cannon on each wing to fire missiles from. When not being played with It can be stored on the included stand for display.I would definitely recommend this set to any Star Wars and Lego fans.

I got things for my 8 years old child that loves building and Star Wars, at this point many of his sets he has and the stuff he builds have become just for display (which is great, in a way) but this Sith tie fighter has awaken something else! Every day there’s a new chapter on his made up series using this tie fighter and various mini figures, and he modifies it non stop. I love all the imagination that this one set has brought home.
