My 8 year old niece sat quietly assembling the Lego Police Sky Police Diamond Heist Playset for almost 2 hours and had all the varied elements completed; despite a false start on the helicopter (and the odd tantrum on the way.) The instructions were pictorial and easy to follow - and after working on the fire station set a month or so ago she was better with spatial recognition and the random alignments made more sense. This set includes the fire siren lights and alarm (its not that loud and it auto stops so don’t worry) which is something my inner 8 year old is very jealous of.The fire station kit didn’t feel like the lego of my youth- though its still assembled in my nieces room weeks after

For the price, I think this set is quite expensive. In the box (which is a bit oversized for the contents) are 4 bags of pieces, 3 books of instructions and you need to be careful you also take out the police lights which are wrapped in cardboard and could be easily missed on their own. While there are 4 bags, you’re only creating 2 vehicles and I wouldn’t say there were a huge number of pieces although they are quite small. While the box mentions there are lights and sounds, this is only from the police lights which will need to have the coin cell battery removed (screwdriver needed) if storing away for a future generation in case it leaks – there are instructions on how to remove/change it in booklet 4.

If your child gets into LEGO prepared to be battered by media as LEGO is not just a toy. It is TV, books, film and merchandise. LEGO City is a favourite with us as they are bite size episodes that can be watched quickly. They often feature some sort of useless criminal gang almost get away with the crime of the century. No other LEGO kit that I have seen quite captures the essence of these shorts as 'Diamond Heist' which allows you to recreate a daring heist and chase.As this is a big pack there is a lot building that is required to finish it. It is. 6+ pack and an enthusiastic LEGO fan of that age should just be alright to build the kit, but may need a little help.

When I was a child Lego was always a staple in our house, the sheer things you could build was only limited by what you had and your imagination. This is why sets like this are so much fun, who hasn't dreamt as a child of a helicopter and with the common use of them in films now for heists, it was only a matter of time before lego did the same thing.This set is fairly easy to build, has a ton of imagination within it and when you throw in other items to build to make your own sets really adds a whole new dimension. Add to the mix the chance to make your own movies now and you can really see how much fun your child can have.Finally throw into this that each piece is well made with great

As you’d expect from Lego, this kit has a great attention to detail. The police vehicle has the ruby crystal inside that the baddies in the flying vehicle and jet pack are trying to steal. The lights and siren are a nice touch (battery included). It’s definitely 6+, as it’s quite involved, and I’d estimate it took us about three hours to build the set. Then you’ve all the fun of acting out the story on the back of the box before making up your own. The instructions are pictorial, just start from 1 and off you go. The Lego packets are numbered too, so it’s easy to identify things correctly. There are also a few spares of some pieces.This is definitely good value for money,

I love Lego. My kids love Lego. My wife, she loves Lego. Even the dog loves Lego (albeit in a different way). So, everyone loves Lego.This set is of course, a lovely set - you're making two vehicles (with the police car having working lights and sounds), but it's all quite simple to make so won't take too much time for the Lego enthusiast.My problem with this, and in fact most of the Lego products - where is the justification for this kind of price? The price is just way too much for what it is. But that of course brings me back to the start: everyone loves Lego. As a result, Mr and Mrs Lego happily slap a ridiculous price on even the most basic of sets, knowing full well that everyone will still buy them.So,

As with most LEGO sets this 60209 City Police Sky Police Diamond Heist Playset is a lot of fun.Not only do you get the pleausre of building the kit you get the basis for a cracking set of adventures to play with it it.A brilliant and enjoyable combo.The set contains an armoured Police transporter and the villains get a helicopter with spinning rotors and... well a lot more.You get 4 figure 2 cops two crooks and all the razzmatazz that really makes this playset just that an exciting colourful and exciting playset.Of course the set can be fitted with other sets in the Lego range which always seems a little sad to me,

Is it just my imagination or have Lego prices gone up disproportionately in recent years? This is certainly expensive for what’s in the box, but what’s in the box is of a high standard, as usual. It will undoubtedly have staying power and eventually go in the loft for the next generation, so the current £44.88 is probably a good investment.The grandchildren do love this age 6+ set and have been absorbed by it for several hours since it arrived today. They haven’t once asked for TV, iPad, Wii, or the like. The blue lights are a particular success, and there are plenty of moving parts.I’m tempted to deduct a star for the price but, all things considered, we’d pay it,

This is another excellent Lego box. It was met with genuine shouts of excitement by two young Lego enthusiasts who think it’s brilliant. There is a lot of very good stuff in the box and they really like it. It’s durable enough to stand up to not-so-gentle-handling by its target audience and should last very well.It’s quite an expensive box, but I think the level of pleasure it has delivered justifies the price. Recommended.

This is part of the Lego City range, designed for ages 6+. The theme is a cops-and-robbers-style diamond heist, complete with a prison cell and a 'sight and sound' block for the siren. There are the familiar figures. Not all male as you might expect. There is a female cop (presumably, judging by the hairstyle. There is a police van and helicopter. It is just wonderful.I challenge you not to want to play with this yourself!

Who doesn't love Lego! This is fantastic. I have it on good authority from the youngest tester in the family...my six year old nephew, who with help from big sister (as if he needed it!), had the contents all over the floor, sorted and assembled quick as a wink.These kits are not cheap but, like all Lego, are excellent quality.

Great product which looks impressive when built. Lego quality is second to none with NEVER too few 'bits'. Well packaged into separate bags and clear instructions. Really helped my now 6 year old to work things out, use his hands to build small pieces and follow instructions.
