As a late-thirty-early-forty-something (cough) this is what I think of as ‘classic Lego’ like it was back in my day- a pack of different vehicles that you can push around going ‘vroooom’ and telling stories of the minifigures chasing each other, catching each other, chasing each other again, catching each other again… I mean Lego Friends and Lego Elves and Lego Disney and Lego Everything Else is all well and good, but this is ‘real’ Lego, isn’t it?...And this is a decent pack of it. The star of the show is the aeroplane, which is quite smart-looking and looks more like it’s intended for Mach 1 than for petty crime arrests. The hook for lifting bad guys off the ground is a little bizarre and James Bond-esque but my kids didn’t seem to question it,nor the fact that it would only work for criminal vehicles with large rear spoilers…After the aeroplane, the rest feels like accessories. The getaway (or not-getaway) car is rather stylish looking but small. The police bike is another Lego classic, while the parachute is something new (to my knowledge), and while it certainly pokes my purist “that’s not real Lego” sensibilities, it does seem to provide a lot of fun in its own right, and my kids had an unexpectedly large amount of fun dropping it from height. By Lego standards it seems a bit less durable than I’d like, but it’s certainly not bad.As always, building is easy- the 5+ age stamp is appropriate and a child could easily have this as their first step-up from Duplo without being too thrown by it. It doesn’t take long, so there isn’t too much time between it first being unboxed and being able to vroooooom it round the living room.A fun and (apart from the parachute) strangely ‘traditional’ Lego set. For the RRP I don’t think it’s especially generous by Lego standards, although 4 distinctly dressed mini-figures is a plus, so it’s 4 stars from me on that basis- but from the action adventure sounds still emanating from our living room, it was certainly a hit here.

What an excellent set - there is a lot of value in the set across the plane, the parachute, the car and the bike.The bike brings nothing new and is a standard lego police bike. Similarly with the little car, other than it has the rail on the back for the hook.The best bits are the parachute for being very clever and in my view, the jet in this set is one of the best in a small set in years.Parachute harness is tricky to get out of the packing and tricky to use too, but it works well. Quite a lot of waste though for this, which was a downside.the plane is brilliant - the mini figure has a new oxygen mask piece and helmet and they look fantastic - my son was very pleased to have this and has told me to be careful as he only has one like that!The plane itself cleverly includes the sky hook which folds neatly away and has lovely attention to detail in the afterburners and other bits - it also is very robust to play with, which is great.My 6 year old built this himself fairly easily, and there weren’t too many stickers - but for the bike in particularly they are quite big and tricky, so help may be needed.Fantastic play set with some unique features that gives a very playable end result - highly recommended.

The problem with a Lego kit for the child of today is once you've built it what do you do with it? This latest playset from Lego attempts to address that problem by adding some interactive features, the best of which is a real parachute for the villain to escape onto the back of his accomplice's getaway car whilst he's being chased by the police bike. But wait, here comes the police jet plane and it has a swing out hook that conveniently drops down and hooks onto the spoiler of the getaway car. Foiled again! Unless of course you don't fit the spoiler then the bad guys get away again.I would imagine the most playable part of this set once its built will be the parachute and I can see all sorts of things being dropped down the stairs.In my day it was a green plastic soldier on a parachute that provided hours of fun till the parachute tore. Lego have addressed that by making it a plastic coated fabric chute which should be stronger.This set is aimed at 5+ by which time most children have been addicted to the TV and other screens but I hope this will lure some of them away for a while.

I love lego because it appeals to such a wide age group and therefore makes a good gift and fairly safe bet for both boys and girls. It's also educational and helps with motor skills and planning, so mum and dad will always be happy if their kids are given lego. It also prepares for a lifetime trying to assemble flat-pack furniture and figuring out what the instructions mean!I wish lego were in charge of making flatpack instructions because the quality of their diagrams are very good and they are very clear and easy to follow. This play set is reasonably challenging but well within the capabilities of most tweens. Younger children may need a helping hand.But this is a collaborative set where two or more people can work together for a rewarding experience - or you can do it on your own.Lego is also the ultimate toy in that, like a jigsaw, you can take it all apart and start again.

This is a very cool set! The police jet is very cool though impractical for a normal police department; however, the Lego City police department is not a normal police department, and, since the crooks have their helicopter from set 60209, the police will need something to stop it (assuming the air force doesn't exist). The parachuting crook is cool, but there's no plane for him to jump from but, then again, adding another plane would drastically increase the price. The police bike is a great addition, but it's an exact copy from the bike from set 60210. The crook's buggy is neat, it's nice for the crooks that there's room in the back for another crook,and it's nice for the cops that there's a bar on the back of the buggy to hook it up with. Overall, this is an exceptionally cool set that makes a great addition to the sky police.

This is a great fun kit from the Lego City range that has been around for decades. The star of the show is the blue Sky Police jet plane which has an opening cockpit and extending hook to catch the crook’s parachute. The set also includes a police motorbike and a crook’s getaway buggy.The parachute doesn't automatically deploy but you can toss it into the air and try to catch it with the jet’s extending hook.Accessory elements include a pilot’s helmet with opening visor and oxygen mask, handcuffs, 2 backpacks and 2 money bags.There is quite a lot going on as a stand alone toy but makes a great addition to other City sets whether new ones or old ones from many years ago.

Easy to follow plans as always from Lego. The more varied gender of the cops and robbers is a nice change. The police bike and quad bike are a nice quick build while the plane with drop down crook hook was very complex I thought. Lego too often now use five separate bits when one would be easier to build and hold together better. That said, the plane does look great when done. The parachute was very fiddly to assemble but floats really well. However, it gets so tangled so easily it is doomed to become just the figure and imaginary parachute very quickly. Lovely set just maybe better with a simpler nonfloating parachute.

A smaller than average kit, consisting of just three little vehicles and a few extra figs and accessories, which are the main draw. However they're a lot of fun to build, feeling just complex enough to be satisfying, and the parachute is an extra bit of fun. Attaching it to a single minifigure gave the best results, dropped down the stairwell, and the pieces were quickly reused in other models.A little bit pricey for what amounts to a small amount of bricks and a minifig/accessory kit, but excellent Lego quality and a good bet if you're not sure what to buy as a gift.

At first I thought this set might be a bit disappointng. For the price, it felt a bit insubstantial. However, my kids quickly built it and have really enjoyed playing with it the past few days. It's fairly easy to build, yet contains quite a few moving bits and little interactive details to keep little fingers busy. The plane is great fun, with the sky-hook that scoops up the get-away buggy. The parachute surprised me. It works really well, and feels pretty tough.Typical Lego quality – really well made, with excellent instructions that are easy to follow.

This took my 9 year old 40 minutes to build and he has had hours of fun playing with it. Nice clear instructions and my son was thrilled that it came with 4 lego figures and a parachute. You get a lot for your money with this set and the end result is great for imaginative play. If you are a fan of Lego then this set is a must. It’s good quality as Lego always is and it is fairly robust unless dropped which my son did but he enjoyed building it again. I would recommend this to all Lego fans.

got my 9 year old cousin to do this which he did took him about 30 minutes to build and read the instructions on his own which he said was quiet clear to understand his only criticism was the wing is a bit delicate even when put together and there was a couple of bits left over that was not needed but overall enjoyed doing it and spent a couple more hours joining it up with his other lego and playing with it see his own review in his own words on instagram @argoshome for #LEGOatArgos

This is a great lego set. It comes with a police plane, police motorbike, quad bike, 4 mini figures and a parachute pack.My 8 year old son built the set himself and really enjoyed doing so. It feels robust and the parachute is a great feature, my son loves dropping the minifigure with parachute from the top of the stairs and watching it glide to the floor! I'm sure he'll spend many hours playing with this set and it fits well with lots of the other lego City sets.

My partner has two grandsons aged 4 and 6 – and this kit is just perfect for them. They needed a little adult help to put all the bits together, especially the plane which was a bit fiddley, but then they were able to play with it.As one of the other reviewers said, this is the kind of kit that kids can “vroom” around the floor playing cops chasing villains, and the parachute was also a great success.Hours of constructive fun!

This Lego set has to be one of the best we’ve had! Lego never fails to amuse and occupy my children however this set really saw my 8 and 4 yr old work together and play like kids should! No electronics just good old fashioned fun.It took my 8 yr old approx 30 mims to build on we own and the end product of plane and parachutists really filled my youngest with joy!

Got this for my 8 year old son who had no problems building it himself. Comes with lots of different pieces which he loves and can play/ interact with them all together or seperatly. We've also tried out the parachute which widths well if you've got space to let it fall and catch some air. Really pleased with this.
