This is one of the smaller new City sets however perfect for a small gift, rainy day build or perhaps an alternative to an Easter Egg with Easter being just around the corner.Lego has recently removed the name Juniors on its younger sets aimed at children 4 and over and has now just simply placed a 4+ sign on the front of the sets. These younger sets are aimed at those who are too old for Duplo but not quite onto standard Lego sets and this is one of those new sets. They have the same brick studs and connections as standard Lego (and so are fully compatible and can be built with all standard Lego)but they also come with larger pre-built parts to make the sets easier for little ones to build such as in this set the jet's main body is one big part rather than several smaller ones.My Son managed to build this by himself with no help and so a nice and simple smaller build. The set allows your child to build the jet and also comes with a two minifigures so that play can start straightaway. There is also a small safe to build which the crook can then try to steal with the sky police cop stopping him.A lovely smaller set and as usual from Lego the instructions were very easy to follow.

This Lego City set is aimed at younger children (4+ as stated on the box) and is a result of Lego moving away from their Lego Juniors sets. This means the Lego is very simple to construct and there are not many pieces. This raises the question of whether it is good value for money when you are getting less building time. I think this is too simple and short-lived for a 4 year old, who will benefit from a more challenging and lengthy experience (with parental assistance). In short, I think you are better off spending money on a proper Lego set pitched at 5+ that will give your 4 year old more to do, even if they need a little more help to do it.That said, this will suit some children and it is typical good quality Lego, resulting in a plane for cops and robbers pretend play.

OK, so this set comes with just 54 pieces spread across 2 bags, 1 plane hull, 1 manual, and 2 mini-figures. It reminds me of the junior sets as the the plane hull is supplied as a solid piece (which I think limits creativity) and all the decals are pre-printed in place already. The build was very simple with no surprises, however the finished plane looks a bit odd and chunky. Be aware that there is no face-mask for the pilot like the art work on the box and manual. If these starter(4+) sets are replacing the old junior sets then it needs to be made clearer, as a quick shopper could easily get one by mistake for a more experienced builder. It is still a fun little set though and adds to the City theme.

This set features a Sky Police toy jet with opening cockpit, searchlight, plus a brick base, 2 LEGO City minifigures : a Sky Police pilot and a crook. There is also an opening mini safe box with room for loot, Also a crowbar and a set of handcuffs , presumably for use when the villain is captured. Part of the City series. These figures once used and the taken apart, as they inevitably will be, slot in with all other Lego pieces and will add to any collection. I have a clear plastic folder now for my grandchildren to keep all the instruction booklets safe so they can recreate them at a later date. I just love Lego. Keep it coming!

This entry-level City set is aimed at the kids growing out of Duplo into more medium-range complexity. But don't let that put you off if you wish to expand your Police sets or at a new airplane to your collection. The scenario of the Police using a jet to catch a burglar doesn't make a lot of sense, though. With my bad hand, it took me about 20 minutes to assemble and I'm sure even a 4-year-old wouldn't struggle with it for longer than that. It could have used better wheels though, so you ought to swap them out if you have spares.

This seems to be a new City range for children 4+ (what they used to call Lego Juniors before). This means that there are some parts that come already built to make it easier for children who are past the Duplo stage but not quite into the standard Lego sets. While I understand the reason behind this, it is also a bit disappointing, as it really limits what a child might be able to do. It is compatible with standard Lego so you can always make it more complex if you have other sets.

This Lego set is part of the Lego City collection (police cars, fire engines, planes, etc) which is really good:- suited to younger children; it's a little more advanced than Lego Juniors (which is a step above Lego Duplo although I haven't seen Lego Juniors for a while so not sure if they still sell them?) but not as complex as other Lego City kits- presents a really good introduction to the Lego universe- as always, the quality is excellent.Highly recommended!

My son is a fan of the Lego City range of products, especially police sets and this was great as an addition to our range and a welcome addition to Lego's City range. The instructions were easy to follow, taking about 15 minutes to complete. My son especially liked the fact that there was a robber included. Set contains (the pieces to make) a plane, a safe scene, two figures (a goody and a baddy) and a few other accessories.

This is a very simple set, but perfect for younger kids. It's a really easy build, in particular the wings and chassis is a single big piece of Lego - makes it very easy for younger kids to build on top on, but at the same time there is enough there to make it interesting, with the cockpit, and policeman and bad guy. Good price for a good fun set - recommended.

I purchased this for our 3 year old grandson. I was initially a bit concerned because there were more pieces to assemble than I'd expected from the photo but grandson soon helped me out!! He had great fun playing with it including having the robber steal the plane! A great model kit which inspired imaginative play.

My child loves this Lego set. It comes with police plane, police figurine, thief figurine, cute little vault with two gems and two sets of handcuffs. Built time for an 8 years old Lego fan was 15-20 minutes. It is still resting on the side table of my child's bed so I am guessing it is hit!

This is a superb little set and my son instantly declared it his favourite. Its 4+ and so an easier build than some sets and the plane fuselage comes as one whole bit making it easier to build. Two fun little characters and a safe with gems.Great little set with lots of fun

My son loves lego and this was definitely worth the buy! I think it’s a brilliant little starter kit for children who would like to try building lego’s on their own too as it’s not overwhelming and great to get them started!

Seven-year old grandson built this himself immediately on opening the box and was proud as punch that he hadn't needed help. Great toy. Great confidence builder.
