Another year, another set of new Lego sets hitting the shops. Is it even a collection though if there is no sign of a police car? This latest set, part of the Lego city range is a relatively small but interesting to see how it's evolved versus the last one I built many moons ago.As you would expect for a set of this size, it's a relatively straightforward build helped by a few larger parts such as the base and the wheel arches. The purists amongst you may be slightly disappointed with a number of stickers included, though these add to the item. The design is pretty neat, the man can be removed and runs pretty smoothly - the only thing that annoys me slightly is one wheel arch is higher than the other.Overall though,

This is a very traditional, simple Lego set that harks back to sets of the 1980s and 1990s that I remember from my youth. It would make a brilliant gift for a child beginning to take an interest in Lego for the first time, or to add to a set of cars or emergency services Lego toys etc, but children with bigger Lego collections will almost certainly already own sets like this and not get a lot out of it.On its own merits, however, the set is easy (but not too easy) to assemble for a child typically aged between 5 and 8, the end result is a great car, and it's quite chunky and robust, so is less flimsy than some of the cars I used to make as a boy.

If you want a slick patrol car for a City set, then this is perfect. It is fun as a toy car on its own, too. I would even say that this is one of the best-looking Lego police cars to date.There are a few quirks I have to address, though. If you buy this for a City set, then these quirks are not even noticeable. If you try to play with it, though, then make sure to note a few things.For example, the front and back wheels are set on different heights. This way, the entire car leans forward. It is easy to fix with common elements, yet it looks weird. Also, the roof is not secure, making it somewhat fiddly to play with; you have to hold it by the sides.

If it were not for the cute, compact nature of this set I'd probably score this a 3/5 as the RRP is marked a bit to high for what you get. It's virtually identical to the 4436 Patrol Car set I reviewed back in April 2013, which was then featured again in the 60042 set. In six years they couldn't change the design a little? Also, there's only a single minifigure featured here, while the other sets had extra, at a lower price.Despite these complaints it's always nice to have an extra Police vehicle to add to the streets in your City world, though you might want to go for a Police set with a little bit extra if you are willing to spend the money.

LEGO seem to be updating their police all the time, they've obviously got some good taxes coming in to pay the police chief! This is the latest in a long line of LEGO City Police vehicles and it looks pretty cool and streamlined.The building time for this is about 20-25 minutes or less depending on skill. It's an easy build with no tricky parts.The set comes with a police driver and two traffic cones. No handcuffs this time around. The driver does have some cool shades, though! It's fairly light on extras but it does have everything it needs, especially as it will most likely be used as an extra item in a larger police set.

This is one of the smaller new City sets however perfect for a small gift, rainy day build or perhaps an alternative to an Easter Egg with Easter being just around the corner.My Son managed to build this by himself with no help and so a nice and simple smaller build. The set allows your child to build the car and also comes with a minifigure so that play can start straightaway. There are also two small cones to be assembled.A lovely smaller set and as usual from Lego the instructions were very easy to follow.

I bought this as an extra to throw in my wee boys birthday as hes just getting into Lego and loves cars.So he opened it wanted it built straight away the instruction book is easy enough building is easy enough but it does start to fall apart while adding other parts on you cant push pieces together hard like needs to be or it comes apart eventually got it built and he went drive it away came back few mins later the wheels had come off and underneath its is now all in the box

I have the Lego city set which I received just before Christmas and was pleased to see all the extra additions one can get to go with it. This is the Police Car which comes with a driver and two traffic cones. Neatly packed and, as always, clear instruction booklet. For 5+. Difficult to review Lego as there is really nothing extra to say about it other than that it is a superb toy/product and will add to any collection. My grandchildren are now amassing quite a lot!

Bought this for my son, we usually buy the 4+ ones and build togheter but since we have them all, I decided to give 5y a shot.Great value for the money, the building was challenging for him but with some help he made it. The face when he succeeds is priceless!Very sturdy piece compared to 4+, I imagine it can hold together for quite a while. Easy to play with, the wheels got a nice roll. However, the roof sits on just 2 studs, so we left it off.

The epidemic situation prevents children from interacting outside and is very depressed at home, so I bought this lego police city sets online for him to play with. Easy to build up and he enjoy this police adventures. The 2 individual traffic cones can be move or set up anyway. The policeman can stand outside or sit into the car. This toy possible test the child's brain power and execution imagination. He likes it very much.

This is a good little, quick build set - consisting of a police car, policeman, and a pair of traffic cones. There are 92 pieces and 45 steps of clear, easy to follow instructions. The chunky little car is well made, with some nice transparent bricks as lights. The build is fairly straightforward and uncomplicated. My 6 year old nephew was able to complete this easily, unaided in less than half an hour.

My son is a huge fan of Lego City products and we already have a large number of the police sets. This, another addition to the range, was warmly welcomed. The box is great, with a shot of the car in action. The instructions were very simple to follow and took my son around 35 minutes to complete. The box contains the car pieces, police driver and two traffic cones. Great fun to complete (I am told)

cute little car with a police man figurine and two road cones. It is part of the Lego City theme so if a child is collecting one of the themes then they would be happy to include this little toy in their collection. It is a good value for money and my 8 years old enjoyed building and playing with it. I thought they might be too old to play with it but clearly you are never too old for Lego. :)

This set is cool. It comes with a police officer, two traffic cones, and a patrol car. The design of the patrol car is pretty good. However, it has no accessories for the officer! No handcuffs, walkie-talkie, or flashlight! You can easily fix this with the extra pieces lego gives in other police sets, but I think they should have at least included something. Overall, this is a good set.

this review is from both mine & my 13 year olds point of view. he says its great, finished it in no time with absolutely no help from me (we sometimes have the odd 'I'm stuck!) and looks fab too, no missing parts. I was happy with the price, especially being part of a deal, brought another one for my 7 year old nephew for Christmas. cant go wrong with Lego really.
