This was bought as a suprise present for my 8 year old son. He had no problems building it and was quite impressed with the idea of a Trolls castle (particularly the large Trolls that guard the doors!).Once assembled it's quite an impressive size and it's got some nice features (catapults, prison cell with rear access etc.), but it's bit delicate when played with. He's found it a bit frustrating when parts are constantly coming off when he's playing Trolls v Harry Potter (don't ask me, he's 8!!). Particular offenders are the small white spikes that adorn the battlements. Luckily it's LEGO so they pop back on easily enough.Overall,

Gorgeous set, loads of pieces. Now in Lego's clever packaging which means you receive lots of numbered bags of bits and only open the bags you need. Well unless you want to do the 'searching for that one tiny piece' thing, that can be fun!!Lots of seperate buildings that join together which makes the whole thing sturdier and easier to pack away without demolishing the entire model. Many hours of fun with this set on its own, and lots of add-on sets to purchase to make it even bigger. The trolls in themselves are just great and really big compared to normal lego men. We did decide to glue the little horns in though as they are tiny and easy to lose.Built in a day,

I love this set, it has a myriad of cool features from the Gate- I love the way it looks as if it's been made in a ramshackle way (although I wonder if it would look better in black rather than brown to look like it was forged from iron rather than wood.) The Troll minifigs, especially the Troll sorceress and also the way you can reconfigure the wall sections to create various looks for the fort. I just wish lego had stuck to the fantasy theme and created an Elves theme to go alongside the dwarfs and trolls theme to battle against the trolls. (Elf Forest Fortress, Elf Tree Watchtower, Elven Archer camp.)

The Lego Castle is a fantastic piece. The instructions were easy to follow. It took about two hours to complete. The end product was extremely detailed and fulfilled all expectation. Hours of fun and adventure will be had with this wonderful toy.

A great set, lots of detail to the building, with good little figures too. My son plays with this a lot. Shop around for the best price and don't be ripped off. Go to manufacturer if prices on Amazon are sky high! Enjoy!

My son got this for his 10th birthday, he built it in a day by himself and has continued to play with it, the figures are fun. He says it a "really, really" good toy, as a fan of lego toys anyway it's a hit.

Good challenging set to put together. My son spent a couple of days on this one which was exactly what he wanted out of a set. The little characters are really good fun. Would definitely recommend.

Not much for a lot of money, Lots of little bits to get lost, clogging up the hoover etc.

Arrived quickly and was a bargain compared to UK prices. My sons loves it.
