Outwardly, there doesn't look to be much to this set, but its packed full of details. The main bulk of the set is the prison tower where the beautiful princess is held (oh no!) at the mercy of the evil bearded wizard (boo hiss!) and a dragon knight acting as a guard. The evil beardy wizard has used his magics to control a powerful red dragon (roar! and actually a very nice bit of kit, despite my own personal misgivings of bunging in fantastical beasties into a historical setting) whom breathes fire! And has flappy wings, an articulated neck, tail arms and legs. And an opening jaw. Beneath the prison cell and down a nicely designed spiral staircase (clever)is the guards chambers where he can have a wine and cheese evening by himself. Or with a rat. Above the cell is a small chamber with the crystal of evil all glowing red on its upturned dish, and then you have the roof where the bearded one can wave his staff around and do evil conjouring or bellow at passers by, as the fancy takes him. Across a small bridge (taking in a small catapult which is the signature weapon of this series of Castle) brings you to dragon mountain, where there is space for the dragon to land, a bit like a medieval helicopter pad. Beneath this is a secret cave, cleverly hidden by a spider's web (hinged, so you can get in) which has all manner of occult bits an bobs - a skeleton's foot used as a torch and two suspicious jars of stuff. In here, you will also find the keys to the tower to release the imprisoned princess! Or, if you're of a more mercenary pursuit, you could just go around the outside and nick the treasure (which - hoorah and huzzah sees a return of the coins last seen in the original Pirates line). Two brave and steadfast Lion knights round out the set and have come prepared to do battle with a mighty ...catapult (yay!).whilst the catapult is of a good size and works well, it's a shame the crank handles on the sides are purely decorative. And that it comes with just one rock to fling at the dragon, so your aim had best be true!I am sure there are a billion better Castle sets out there than this, but I really like the character packed into this set and the play opportunities it represents. And this is before you get to breaking it all down and building something else. Great fun.

It is a shame that LEGO has been ignoring its Knights and Kingdom lines over recent years. As a kid my plastic knight figures or Lego and Playmobil knight collections were always the highlight of my play sessions. The Kingdoms Market Place and Joust sets from 2010 to 2013 remain a few of the most attractive Lego sets that my children love to play with. This Castle set is from the aftermath of those glorious releases, but combines very well with our other knights and Kingdoms sets. Even though the included castle is quite compact, the set itself is very complete. Most of all because it includes a fierce red dragon. But there are loads of other features as well; a wizard, a damsel in distress,a working catapult, a prison cell, a treasure, magical potions, a hidden wizard lair a dragon knight and two brave king knights. All this combined sets you up for hours of play and imagination and you wouldn’t need anything else. But again, it is even better if you have more Kingdom sets to combine or a small band of knight to deal with the dragon. The built of the 375 set is quite straightforward, enjoyable even and diverse with little repetition. It took my quite skilled six-year old brick builder a little over an hour to complete the project without any interference form my side. The resulting tower castle of modest height is quite pleasing and different from most castle structures we have.

Noticed this set and seeing as our son loves dragons i had to get it for him for his birthday. He loved it.Only negative set back is the price....Lego seem to have bumped up their prices and i think for the size it is a little expensive but it will last a long time.I think Lego forget kids love this stuff and it seems to be becoming more of a collectible thing with the sets these days, if you don't get a set then in a fairly short time they stop doing it and then it becomes even more horribly expensive which i think is a real shame!!!

This lego set is very good not the largest set, I brought this for my 5 year old son as I had brought him a compatible castle set the year before at a good price it seems although wasn't a good purchase as every time my son played with it the set crumbled. With lego you get what you pay for I got this set at a good price so was very pleased even if you pay full price the set is worth it.The dragon is awesome and a decent size, so worth getting the set just for that one piece.

My Dad (Steve) bought this for me and I gave him the money for it. Amazing! I loved it and, unlike most toys I didn't just play with it for an hour then forget about, I have had weeks fun. The dragon is incredibly awesome plus, a mini figure can ride it! It came very, very fast delivery and it was fun and fast building it. A wonderful product and would highly recamend to all girls (me) and boys.

My son received this for his 7th birthday.... he already has the castle from this Lego series. He loves it! It was easy enough for him to be able to do it (with a few pointers from dad!) but hard enough for him to feel proud of himself when he completed it!He plays with it alongside the castle with this set being the baddie and the other set being the goodie.... hours of fun!

As with ALL LEGO it's fun thrilling and a wonder to behold , when assembled!, the care taken to 'invent' these 'scenarios' can't be underestamated!, a very well done to ALL at LEGO!!, you've got my vote! for ingenuity, insight and patience!.............As always your STARS!!!............................T

Children absolutely adore the dragon and this is the most played with item in this pack. children built only part of the castle and proceeded to use the other bits in other builds. This whilst not completely built has really set fire to their imagination. Once again Lego have made a winner.

My son is 6 and last year started with lego but did struggle putting the bits together, this year he received this for his birthday and managed to follow all the instructions. He loves playing with it once its made up. It's a great little play set. I would recommend to any little lego fan

Bought as a gift for my 6 year old nephew. He loved the dragon and said the lego reminded him of Hogwarts. It was challenging enough to build and an all round success. Item arrived quickly and was well packaged. To top it off, there was a bit of discount! Would recommend.

This is my sons favourite Lego Castle Piece. Fantastic and a great way to teach kids to build and follow instructions. Can be used by itself or it is great alongside other Lego Castle pieces. Fantastic and a great way to teach kids to build and follow instructions.

It's a great kit. There's a lot to play with, and a good set of mini figures. The dragon can be put in lots of different positions and balances really well on 2 or 4 legs. It can hold blocks or mini figures in it's front paws, and mini figures can ride on it.

Not massive, but a good addition to the Lego castle battle that my son is conducting! The dragon is impressive but the other components to the set are quite small. Still, no self respecting Lego enthusiast would be without a Lego dragon so go buy it!

Bought for my husband who is a big kid! He loved opening it on Christmas day and spending a few hours happily building it!! It all looked pretty good, nothing was missing from the kit, would highly recommend!
