I was looking for an old fashioned wooden handle metal masher but found them impossible to locate unless secondhand on ebay and even then going for silly prices. I decided to buy one of those silly 'L' shaped mashers which are next to useless and very uncomfortable to mash with. Next try was purchase of a non-stick plastic masher which again was a waste of money - couldn't get enough pressure on it to give any oomph! Saw this masher on Amazon which is based on the original wooden masher, at a good price and I am not disappointed. It seems solidly built with a comfortable handle. Four stars not Five because I think the holes may prove to be a little on the large side but the best so far

I used this masher for the first time at the weekend, and boy its sturdy.It's quite a heavy utensil, but I suppose you need that whilst mashing to a fine smooth mash...I was surprised as to the quality, but the previous reviews advised me that it was sturdy, and that is no lie.The outcome of the mash was lovely and smooth and didn't take as much effort as previous masher.All in all I would recommend this product to all.

searched everywhere for this style of METAL masher couldn't believe how hard it was to find one, these days they are all plastic and just don't last or do such a good job. It was delivered within 48 hours COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER SERVICE. Only one little suggestion LESS PACKAGING as it came in a box large enough to have got probably 12 to 18 of these mashers in no joke ! But many thanks all the same.

Ordered this after searching through the reviews of previous purchasers. This is an excellent, strong, well crafted product that does exactly what it says on the tin for at a great price. It's heavier than I thought and the soft grip handle makes it comfortable to use as it mashes through potatoes, carrots, turnip etc with consummate ease. Would recommend it for everyday use.

I have arthritis and fybromyalgia and find I now look for things to ease pain when cooking for my family. This mashed so easily and the handle is brilliant for grip and ease of use. Price point spot on and delivery was as stated. Will be looking for more products from this manufacturer to keep me doing what I love .... Cooking for my family.

Ordered this to replace one that I have had for 20 years! Seems good quality, but I find it a little heavy - that could be due to the fact that my previous one was much lighter and I need to get used to using this. Seems to mash potatoes well so time will tell. Delivery good.

Very decent piece of kit.I have managed to demolish a few potato mashers over the years.So I was best pleased to see ,that this item is made of a single piece of 3mm thick stainless steel,with non slip handle.It will definitely withstand my heavy handedness. Its a keeper.

An excellent potato masher. It is very sturdy and well made. It doesn't bend or feel like it might break like many other mashers. Only downside is that it is quite heavy and I've found that my arm aches much faster mashing with this than weaker but lighter mashers

I wish I had bought this potato masher a few years ago when my old one gave up the ghost. I could sum up this masher in one word 'Brilliant'. I am so thrilled with it my husband said he would have bought me one for my birthday if he had known!

now this for me was the purchass of the century its realy well made really strong it looks great hanging with my other utensils i love this potatoe masher how sad am i lol thank you for stopping my kids moaning about lumpy mash xx

Wow this product is the best made masher. Ever. Absolutely. Understated. Well designed. Finished superb. Cannot say enough how good this product is. A deffo for any kitchen. Great value. Would have paid more for such quality

Excellent quality. I bought this to replace another design of masher, which was useless. It's been through the dishwasher a few times now and shows no sign of deterioration. Does the job it was designed for excellently.

Finally a potato masher that is strong enough to do the job without lumps. A quality one-piece construction means that it doesn't bend and the handle-grip is very comfortable. very, pleased with this purchase indeed.

Yes this is what you would call a Man's Masher,quite big,bulky and heavy made of a sturdy construction good solid grip,once in action it carries out it's task with aplom result near perfect mashed spud's nuff said.
