I've searched for years for a pair of decent walking shoes and never found any that come up to scratch but these are perfect - an all-encompassing fit that follows the shape of the foot - tighter in the mid-section so that you can actually feel them against your foot when you put them on but widening out in the front area to give your toes plenty of room. I've lost count of how many toenails I've lost through my big toe banging on the front of walking boots or shoes for hours on end and lacing them up tighter just stops the blood supply to your foot, so that's not an option either! These Keen shoes actually fit your foot PROPERLY, moulding to its natural shape.

I really wanted these to fit as they are all that I wanted in a walking shoe, waterproof, strong and comes in half sizes. The 5.5uk sizing was perfect for me, fitted really well no struggling to push foot in or tight on toes etc but sadly when I walk my right foot slips out the back causing rubbing. The left foot seemed to stay put initially but after a little while walking around the house I found it also started to rub and slip out. What a shame, don't know why, I feel the ankle padding should be a little higher. Sadly returned, the quality, style are excellent maybe I just have odd feet!

Smart looking, solid, high quality shoe. Unfortunately comes up high so whilst it doesn’t rub against my ankle bones, the tongue rubs at the top of instep so very uncomfortable. Not as wide as I expected either. If you have wide feet, high instep and high arch, this is maybe not the right style of Keen for you. Similar fit as the Keen Targhee iii (which is a narrower style compared to the wider fitting discontinued Targhee ii) which is also unsuitable for me. Pity, as I really like the look and feel of this shoe. Very impressed with speedy shipment!

These shoes are very comfortable; soft inside, and very good, springy cushioning. Yet also the feeling that you have good contact with the ground. No pressure spots. Sole has very good grip on smooth surfaces. They also look nicely finished. Well waterproof and windproof. There are shoes that offer more strength, but in terms of grip and comfort these are fantastic shoes.

Absolutely loved these hiking shoes. I’ve been looking for a comfortable pair of walking shoes for ages, I read the other purchasers reviews and they were spot on. They’re perfect. Waterproof, have a wider space around the toes, no rubbing at all. Highly recommended.

Love these shoes. Really soft and comfortable from the first walk. And hiked through wet grass for hours and feet were toasty dry.Bought for general every day walking and in the hills. Keen not a brand I’d heard of before but extremely pleased with my purchase.

Very comfortable from the first moment. The foot is well gathered and the ground grip feels good. I have not been using them for too long, so I still have to assess the issue of water. At the moment to walk with light rain perfect.
