I live in Florida where it randomly rains quite often. I am always on trails and hiking. Therefore, I often end up coming home with wet and dirty shoes that need to be washed. My brother has been telling me to get some waterproof shoes for awhile now. I am thrilled that I finally have some! These are great. I have gotten them wet several times so far and they have kept my feet dry.I was a little worried about comfort when the shoes first arrived. They feel really stiff on the outside of the shoe. However, they are really roomy and comfortable on the inside. I have wider, flat feet with some previous injuries. I am able to wear these shoes for hours and feel supported. The only issue I have is that the type of shoelaces they come with come undone a lot. I have to double tie them (which is not really an issue). The shoes also run just a tad bit big on me. Overall, they are amazing. I highly recommend them.

If you do well in Keens need/want the stability of all Keen shoes, these are for you. They're more lightweight than regular Keens. They're waterproof, but of course you can't splash around in big puddles or step into a river or stream, but they perform well if you are out and about when it's raining hard. I can wear them in the snow or slush when I'm walking the dog. I have bad arthritis in both feet and these give me the Keen stability and the lightweight feeling of a sneaker. The only thing I could add that is a small negative is the dark blue laces these come with, being 'waterproofed' makes them a little slippery so they can come undone more frequently, but as you can see from the picture I solved this by replacing the laces with regular laces. Problem solved. I love them so much I ordered a second pair to have on hand! Highly recommend. ;-)

Very happy with these Keen Explore Hiking Shoes. I walk my Golden Retriever 2-3 miles at least 5 days a week over a wide mix of terrain and in all weather, so I'm always looking for a comfortable shoe that will provide enough support to handle uneven natural surfaces, enough cushioning to handle concrete sidewalks, and is waterproof for rain/puddles/wet surfaces. These hiking shoes tick all the boxes! Lightweight, good traction, non-marking soles and a perfect fit. They fit more like a running shoe than a boot. (If you have wide feet these might not be for you. The Keen Women's Steens WP Hiking Shoe, which I also have, is wider and might work better for those with wide feet or who like really roomy toe boxes. That model also has a little less cushioning.)I'm extremely happy with these hiking shoes!

Mom has been wearing them on a couple of her walks and are enjoying there flexibility and how soft they feel on her feet. She tells me that she doesn’t feel as fatigued when she gets home and like a lot of shoes they didn’t need breaking in. Each step is like walking from one cloud to the next, It’s what she told me. What she liked the most was her feet didn’t hurt after her walks. The stitching throughout the shoes are straight and consistent and I didn’t find any manufacturing errors or threads to be snipped anywhere. Connecting points are solid and won’t give easily. The waterproof membrane doesn’t trap heat and the materials used let the sweat out but won’t let water in.The best of both are in these shoes. A nice walking/hiking shoe with high praise on a great fit. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

These hiking shoes are somewhat stiff. I ordered a size 9 although I sometimes wear a size 8, depending on the style and width. I’d say these are a true size 9 but the toebox could be wider. After I walked around in them for 20 minutes, my toes felt a little cramped, and since the construction is stiff, it does not stretch like leather or canvas. My feet are wide in the front but have a narrow heel. These give good protection to your feet. The trade-off is that they are a bit heavy and the soles are not very flexible. The laces are round, so they tend to become untied. The shoes have a chemical odor when new. They came in a shoebox and a sticker says Made in Cambodia.Workmanship seems good and I like the appearance.

I wish these had more cushion. But, that being said, they are not uncomfortable just no the type of cushy shoe you want to stand and walk in for hours. They were so hard I thought, "dear God these are gonna be painful to wear", but to my surprise, they actually weren't. Just not soft and comfortable like my Nike I mostly do my walking in. I wear a 7.5 in regular shoes and always go up to an 8 for athletic shoes. I did the same with these and they fit like I expected with a little room to spare when I don't wear a super thick sock. Overall a decent shoe, but definitely not my favorite. Haven't worn them out in the woods yet, so I don't knw how they will do with mud and water. Stay tuned!

Right out of the box, these shoes look massive, so "style" will not be the big selling point. They aren't nearly as pretty as most Keens. That said, these are great shoes from one of my favorite brands. I work in retail, and if I expect to spend my day running around the store, these are a go-to option. I work in a chilly bookstore basement without much carpeting over concrete floors, and not only do these cushion my feet, they also keep me warm without getting sweaty. They don't look waterproof, but they are. Though I don't get much rain in my area, I would choose these for their durability, support, comfort, and warmth.Warm, mmmmmmmm .....

I like them! You can tell right away that these are well made, and they're made of quality materials. I love the water resistant feature and the overall fit of the shoe. They're not the most attracted sneaker I've ever worn, but the functionality outweighs the fashion here. Out of the box, these are very stiff. They take some getting used to and will definitely require a good breaking in before you can even consider taking a long walk with them. But they're great for the outdoors and should hold up well to regular use, so they're a very nice shoe overall.

These nice hiking shoes are Made in Cambodia. They have a rubber sole with really nice tread on the bottom. A little like cleats for good traction.Very nice footbed padding with nice arch support. Nice padding around the ankle. Waterproof snazzy upper. Super good looking shoes.I’ve tried other shoes which were called “hiking shoes”, but were really more “overall” shoes that could be used for hiking if you wanted. These are true “Hiking Shoes” which would not really work well as “overall” shoes. Really great for what they are. .. Hiking Shoes.

This is a roomy shoe, you can wear a thick sock in it. The arch is great, I have a high arch, so this is important for my shoes. The toe is a little stiff, good if you stub your toe. The tread is really sticky, but I think the way I scuff my feet, it's a one season shoe, I haven't tested it for that long, but I scuff my feet and walk on rocks and the lugs are kind of small, but while they're there, they're sticky, giving good traction. For those of us who don't like wearing the heavy hiking boots, this is a good shoe.

After trying and trying to find a waterproof shoe, boot...anything, and returning several different boots, I found these shoes, and I love them. I was mainly wanting waterproofing, not a snow boot, and these are perfect. I wear an 8.5 medium width shoe and that is what I ordered. It fits perfectly. I do wear regular socks with these shoes. Also, the price was something I was willing to pay. Very sturdy, good looking and keep the water out when I walk on the dewy grass in the mornings. Thank you!

These shoes are sturdy and comfortable, both. I walk my rambunctious hunting dog in Louisiana marsh, mud and muck so need a well made and waterproof shoe , BUT I'm also a stickler for comfort, style, and fit. These meet all my needs. I bought these abt month ago and have given them time before writing a review. For a waterproof shoe, they also manage to be padded, supportive, and flexible. They are ultra high quality. I got mine for a fantastic price too ! ( Go Amazon !:)

If you love to get out and experience nature by hiking, this is an excellent shoe. It is comfortable and has good support. It is lightweight and breathable. Your feet won't get all sweaty in this shoe. The soles provide traction you need to manage any type of trail. It's also just a stylish shoe. I highly recommend this product. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this review. I hope the information that I've provided makes your decision a little easier.

These keens are very nice, high-quality, comfortable hiking shoes. (I love Keen as a brand in general.)The sole is nice and "nubby." The materials feel high-quality and heavyweight (without making the shoes super heavy). They look nice, of course. They have rubber reinforcement at the toes.My daughter did find the laces difficult to tighten/tie, but I imagine that will get easier with wear.Keen is always a good bet with shoes!

These are great. They look really nice and the waterproof outer works well. I'm often wandering the woods with my two little guys and needed a pair of shoes that could manage the occasional puddle, stream, muck, etc. without having to look like I was on an expedition the rest of the day while running normal errands. I purchased my normal size (8 in dress shoes, 9 in athletic), and fits comfortably even with thicker winter socks.
