Short of spending £400-£500 on a Dyson cordless, all other cordless vaccums I've received have all suffered from a lack of power or ability to suck anything more than hair up the large nozzle into the dust collector.Hoover have clearly thought about this and come up with a better model whereby the battery and dust collector are located mere centimetres from the dust intake area at the bottom of the Hoover. Genius. This has 3 buttons: power on (powers suction with no rotation); carpets (power on+ this button give you suction and rotating brush); ECO (power on + eco + optional carpets) gives you a low power mode. There are three battery status indicators and headlights on this to illuminate the path being hoovered.Activating the carpet mode instantly reduces the battery indicators from 3 to two if fully charged but in reality, switching to another mode can stretch the battery life further. There's some minor assembly involving screws and a screwdriver to attach the hose attachments - this is easy to do. Apart from that, it looks like a conventional hoover.Use: this is by far and away the most effective cordless hoover I've used (we actually own another cordless Hoover with the dust bin and battery at the top - this is much better). The rotor brushes are really powerful and really do get up all dirt. For the kitchen floor, the normal (non brush) mode is also good. Battery lasts long enough to easily do each room in our fairly large house.Gripes: the extension hose is fiddly to put together and not a great design and the dust collection area is pretty small. About the size of a bag of sugar. Also, I wish it would just power on if you pressed 'carpets' instead of power on then another press. It's a bit noisy in carpet mode from the brushes/motor.Pros: easy to use and charge; cleans well. Portable.

This is a great cordless vacuum cleaner and very lightweight which is perfect for me as I suffer from Arthritis so struggle with heavier vacuum's. When the vacuum arrives it does need a slight bit of assembly but nothing that took more than a few minutes to attach the hose catches. We have had a couple of cordless vacuum's now and whilst I really like the compact and lightweight nature of this one by one niggle would be that the main head is quite chunky and so doesn't fit under some of my furniture as my older one would. The vacuum is however quite quiet in operation and very easy to maneuver. The real shining feature of this is that it is really nice and powerful and appears to suck up a lotmore than my older cordless vacuum does so very impressed with this. The battery is in a cylinder shape and fits neatly on one side of the main head area but can be removed for charging if wished or left on and charged. There is a battery indicator button that you can press which confirms the amount of battery charge left and this is really handy for at a glance. The dust bin is very small and also a cylinder shape that fits onto the other side of the main head from the battery but wow this seems to hold an awful lot before needing to be emptied. The main handle can be adjusted for height comfort and also pushed back down when you have finished which means that the vacuum is super compact for when putting away and fits neatly in our hall cupboard.A very impressive cordless vacuum which is both lightweight and powerful.

This compact upright has an extraordinarily powerful suction for such a portable vacuum cleaner. It is a veritable dust monster, and not too noisy for that, either. In fact, my other half has said that it's almost *too* strong, and could do with a power setting for a slightly gentler hoover (although it's not so strong that it will damage anything!).It's super light and practical, hiding away in our tiny understairs cupboard space. It seems sturdy enough too, although on ours, the cap on the top of the handle keeps falling off easily - not sure if it's a little defective or had been damaged in transit, although it is absolutely a minor thing of no consequence. The dust drum is really easy to remove and empty, even if it is on the small side (no hardship really when the unit is so compact and handy in the first place). With the standard extra fittings combined with its portability and cordless operation, it's a great piece of household kit for a small house or flat. A leading brand name, and it's certainly not disappointing at all with this handy little hoover.

With some assembly required out of the box, I would have preferred instructions with text as well as pictures, but using the pictures and some common sense it didn't take long. I can't say it's the most attractive of vacuum cleaners but it makes up for that in a functional design that makes it easy to use, and to get in all places. We started off giving the comfy chairs a good clean and then doing a thorough clean of the living room. It has quite a small capacity for dust collection, but that is countered by it being easy to empty. You might not be able to do the whole house in one charge unless you're just doing a quick run-around.It's not my favourite Hoover model, and that's partly down to some features which I find fiddly or not quite in line with the same sensibility that is shown in the wider physical design – but it's still more than good enough to please those who do not require a heavy duty model or prefer to do their cleaning in stages.

I’m pretty late at reviewing this, but for the past 6 months this has proven to be a great vacuum cleaner for a 2-bed house. It’s easy to get around / move around and dead-easy to operate. I’d previously been using a Vax, and this pee’s all over it. The suction is great, and even though it’s not labelled as pet-friendly it’s done s great job with cat hairs to date. The tools fit well, relatively easy to change, although could be classed as firm/difficult if you’re elderly... but some extra tools would be appreciated. The reach/angle comes in handy when cleaning under side-boards and similar furniture, and pretty handy on stairs. The only let down for me is the battery life /time between charges; it should be far better and is the main reason I give this a point reduction. It’ll be great for a flat or smaller property than mine... I’d say a 2-bed house is its maximum (if you intend to clean everywhere in one hit).

For a compact and lightweight vacuum cleaner, the Hoover H-Free C300 HFC216R packs a powerful punch with its suction that has seen all jobs I've asked of it tackled successfully. As good as it is, and as welcome as it all being done cordless is, I have to disagree with the stated 'effortless guide' over carpets. The glide is not effortless or smooth at all times and can be bit wearing on the arms. It's not bad as such but it's something I picked up on immediately and before reading the aforementioned claim in the bullet points.Everything else is satisfying. It's good at reaching awkward places, is good with dog hair and takes up little storage space. Assembly and charging is simple.Noise levels are about average.

Hoover is a name synonymous with vacuum cleaners, so you would expect this to be a quality product. And it is. Although it took a little while to assemble initially, it soon proved to be versatile, powerful and running on a long time before recharge. The small dust container packs loads of debris, and the machine operates quietly. It's lightweight and glides over all surfaces with its rotating brush. There's a long stretch hose for reaching crevices, and I like that it tilts right back on itself so you can vacuum under bookcases, beds etc.I keep my Hoover upstairs, plugged in in the closet, as it's compact. Saves having to lug the other vacuum cleaner up and down stairs. Recommended.

Finally, a hoover branded vacuum that is as good as youd expect from the brand! After having to return a cordless hoover vacuum cleaner to Amazon due to it not being nearly as easy to handle or as efficient as it was intended, I'd honestly developed a rather low opinion of hoover as a brand. You need to have a screw driver to hand when setting this up but it doesn't take long. Compared to my current Samsung 2in 1 I've found this to be more efficient (no problem at all with the Samsung but I feel this is more powerful)It's in a pretty insipid grey with some small red elements. Very lightweight and the hose is a brilliant additional to make cleaning the home easier and quicker

Well made, Light, cordless and easy to use. Plenty of battery life for three days everyday picking up dog hairs, crumbs etc. Now we only need to use the more powerful corded vacuum cleaner once a week and that is really only for peace of mind thinking the carpet pile needs a deep clean? An unexpected advantage is that it is free standing, so if the hoovering is interrupted for any reason, you don't have to put it down just leave is standing conveniently anywhere.Well done Hoover!!

this product is light and easy to use but only seems to clean surface only, not into the pile and is useless if you have a pet as it does not pick hair out of the carpet. Tool for stairs etc is nearly useless, hardly any power produced. Really disappointed as I think at the price it should perform better.

1.7.2020

Truly delighted.Fantastic cordless hoover.Just as good as my corded hoover without the ties.Good battery life.Easy to empty and easy brush cleaning. Can,t emphasise enough how good this hoover is.Shark and dyson performance for a quarter of the price.

Works very well, but one snag. I may be doing something wrong, but I can't get the hose to lock in place. It pulls out when stretched, so have to wedge it. I'll try again before I send it back

5.3.2020

Does the job. Great not having to trail a cord behind. Like most of these vacs, lack of height adjustnent is a bind. Does my 3-bedroom bungalow on one charge twice.

21.2.2020

Great hoover! works almost as well as an upright without the faff. Easy to empty and lasts a long time between charges, I highly recommend this.

5.3.2020

Very good quality. Only got against it battery it doesn't go in straight away. Fiddle about with it...other wise very good....
