Needed a replacement for our 7 year old Bagged Panasonic upright that had given great service. Reluctant to switch to a bag-less but the industry has decided we don't want them any more. Don't know why as cleaning out a bag-less is the worst faff off all. Anyway when I ordered this it was new and there were no reviews to go by. I normally look at the 1 and 2 stars first to see if it works after a few weeks or how many send it back. But I liked the way it was described and the features particularly the 10m cable which stops you having to switch plugs when doing the job. Saves a lot of time!Regarding suction the person who said in review it was the worst ever clearly doesn't have a clue.

Ordered this due to the extra long hose as when hoovering cobwebs from the ceiling it usually involves hubby holding the hose and me standing behind holding the hoover in the air to allow the hose to reach the ceiling, This is brilliant as I can reach the upstairs ceiling from the bottom of the stairs. Long power cord as well which is very handy. Only downside its that its 700W which shows in the suction when using the hose. Using on carpet it seems to pull itself along .Overall really pleased.

Easy to use. Good suction-got more dust than old one. Adjustable handle. Maneuverable, low head, almost goes flat. Long cable, takes some winding. Hose just long enough to reach top stair from ground-extendable with handle. Air whistles through hose at full stretch. Hose detaches when not in use-easily knocked from its storage area. Easy to switch brushes off. Easy to empty and to remove clogs from around filters, but can be messy to empty. Brushes stop on long pile. Model has no stair tool.

I was actually amazed at the quality of the vacuum compared to an expensive brand at fraction of price. The suction power is great and its less noisy Compared to other vacuums. Suction power is adjustable, its easy to maneuver, long hose lets u reach the far areas and so much more. Another amazing thing is that all accessories are easily stored on the vacuum without u having to find it every time u need it.Its highly recommended to anyone looking for a decent priced great quality vacuum.

Build quality is excellent. Height-adjustable handle to suit any user. Simple user manual. Easy to manoeuvre. Powerful, yet quiet, it has great suction, cleans carpets perfectly, revitalising the pile to look like new. Just as good on smooth surfaces. Adjustable suction for delicate fabrics or items. Bag-less with one-click release and emptying. An extra-long hose for making stairs easy and a duster/crevice attachment for harder to reach areas. All attachments store neatly on the cleaner.

Very lightweight and easy to move around and get into the corners. The lead is very long so no need to keep unplugging. The suction isn’t quite as strong as I’d like it to be but it still picks up all the dirt/dust. The hose attachment is totally separate so you have to plug it into the back of the Hoover each time you want to use it which I found a bit annoying if I wanted to keep switching between upright and hose. Does the job and is easy to put together when first out of the box.

the hoover does a great job at sucking up dirt although it has one ore two niggly problems. The electric cord has to be unwound one loop at a time, the upper hook does not twist to allow the wire to fall off in one pull. the hoover has a ball effect that allows the head to get into the corners, but the handle and cylinder tend to lean to the right and is heavy to maintain a straight line. The cover on the top of the handle keeps opening and has fallen off when the machine is in use.

The Hoover upright 500 was quick to unpack and assemble with easy to follow instructions. The vac is light and not too large for good storage. I have a combination of carpet and hard floors in my house. Found the vac easy to use on both types of flooring with excellent moveability. The piverting head is good for getting Into tight places and under things. The bin is quick and easy to empty. The filter is also washable. Overall a great vac and I would highly recommend.

An excellent vacuum.I bought it for my new house and after I was done, the bin was full and the carpet was smooth.It is lightweight and easy to take upstairs and has extra long reach for cleaning the ceiling and stairs. The carpet function is brilliant and can be switched on and off depending on what surface you are hoovering. The extra bits all can be stored on the device and does not take much room at all when storing the whole vacuum away. Definitely recommended.

It is far too heavy for me to use The cable length is ideal as is the hose length, but the small brush is really flimsy. The release button is awkward. The handle has a clip lid on it (where you attach the hose). My hand hits this little lid and its a pest.That being said, it does clean carpets and floors well, but I think my husband will be doing this job going forward - my arm gets too sore.Not a patch on my old Hoover product.

This replaced a cordless Hoover which I sincerely regretted buying. This is easy to use, thoroughly cleans the rugs and easy to switch to the tiled floors. I find it easy to maneuvre and you can just take the stick part upstairs but I don't find it heavy to take the whole upstairs. Certainly well above the performance of the cordless I had. Cord is long so I dont have keep unplugging. I would recommend this.

This hoover is so easy to move around, compact and a great colour. Upon opening I did worry that the dust compartment looks a little small however i have managed to hoover my whole house with ease without changing it. The long reach attachment is very useful for getting any dust over door frames and blinds overall very happy with it

This hoover has proven to be a very good buy. We keep it upstairs so we don't have to lift our trusty Dyson DC33 up and down. However, this hoover has performed equally as well as the Dyson with excellent adjustable suction coupled with good manoeuvrability. It feels a well built and solid product at a very competitive price.

I love this new Hoover, it picks up great and right up to the skirting, it was the cheapest vacuum I have bought in some time and I like it the best and it also has a nice long hose for stairs etc, it’s the only recent Hoover I’ve had that picks up cat litter pieces without spitting them out again.

I was sceptical when I ordered this but I was wrong this Hoover is great for the price, it’s light weight so it’s easy to move around and it does a brilliant job, even my dad has ordered one for himself
