I have been looking for a Cordless vacuum with strong suction for a while now and i needed one which was especially good at picking up pet hairs. I am currently a cat owner, unfortunately my cat moults all the time so I am in constant battle with finding hair everywhere.I was recently asked to review the new Hoover H-Free 200 Pets cordless vacuum at home in return of my honest and if need be, opinionated review The first thing i noticed unpacking the vacuum was how many attachments that came inside the box, i was mainly interested with testing out the general motorised roller attachment and the motorised pet hair attachement. The vacuum all clicked together with ease and I must say looks pretty nice. After reading the instructions i put it on charge and left it for about 3-4 hrs, on the battery there is a small LED light but I couldn't tell from it whether the battery was fully charged or not. The Hoover is quite light to carry so makes it easy to reach hard places such as the top of curtains or into corners. Switching on the vacuum is easy to do as it is simply a trigger button but there is also a small lever located just above the trigger that when pressed turns the vacuum on in permanent mode which is handy when cleaning for an extended period but I found myself keep catching this switch whenever i tried to hoover and after a while it really started to annoy me. This is either a really bad design flaw from Hoover or I just have fat finger syndrome. I also currently own another cordless vacuum which does not have this problem so i think Hoover should re think the design of it. Because of this I deducted a star from the vacuums rating.Suction power of the vacuum is excellent, in fact it is actually better than most plug in vacuums I have ever owned and my current other cordless one.It was then time to try out the pet hair attachment. The roller bar attachment was easily removed by pressing a small button at the bottom of the extension tube, the pet hair attachment then simply clicked into place and was ready to use. My cat has his own cushion on my sofa, every day he moults the equivalent of a small golf ball of hair so to really test the pet hair attachment I left his cushion untouched for a few days. The pet hair attachment is motorised so made the job real easy to de-fur. After only a few passes with the pet hair attachement the cushion was completely clear and free of hair, amazing and so easy. All the hair was collected into the hoover's round clear bin located at the base of the vacuum. Emptying it was even easier, you simply hold the main part of the Hoover over your bin and then press another small button that releases its contents, simple! Another minor fault i have found with the vacuum however is the size of the bin, it's only 0.7 litres so i made probably 2 visits to my bin to empty it whilst cleaning the whole house, i think most other cordless vacuums these days are a similar size but this again could be improved. The vacuum has 2 power modes, a normal power one which only uses the hoover's suction, the other is Auto mode which adapts to whatever type of floor you are cleaning. Switching power modes is easy via a small button on top of the main base, the low power mode will extend the battery running time by approx 15 minutes if used correctly and i actually found this mode was adequate to pick up most debris although i did need to switch to Auto mode for a few minutes whilst i vacuumed up some cat litter.Manoeuvring the vacuum is a breeze as you can switch between 90° and 180° angles with a flick of the wrist, this helps with cleaning around objects and into corners. The roller bar has 3 LED lights that are permanently turned on whilst the vacuum is in operation and they came in really handy whilst i cleaned under my furniture or any dark areas that need illuminating.I unfortunately haven't been able to fully test the Battery in terms of running time yet, the instructions advise that it will last for up to 40 minutes continuous use when in low power mode and 25 minutes when in Auto mode, either way the vacuum is adequate to clean both upstairs and downstairs of a standard sized house. The Hoover H-Free 200 Pets cordless vacuum is a really good vacuum, especially if you are a pet owner and i would have awarded it 5 Stars if the awkward switch above the trigger was moved and the size of the waste bin was increased.

We have pale carpets throughout our home and a black cat, which isn’t the best of combinations! As a result, regularly vacuuming is a priority for me and I frequently find myself having to undertake this task on a daily basis due to our cat losing so many of her long black hairs. I was getting fed up with having to continually go downstairs to collect the Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner in order to vacuum upstairs so we made the decision to purchase an additional product.Luck was on our side as I had the opportunity to receive the Hoover H-Free 200 in return for my honest feedback. The product was well packaged on arrival and was accompanied by an 8 page instruction manual.I initially felt quite overwhelmed due to there being so many different parts, but they were easily assembled with minimal effort. It was a little disappointing to read that the initial charge should be for at least 24 hours, particularly as I was eager to try it out. I waited approximately 26 hours and the vacuum clear was fully charged which is indicated by the red charging light turning white. The weight is very similar to our Dyson cordless vacuum at 1.5 kg, so it’s not back breaking to transport from room to room. The vacuum cleaner has two modes, with the one mode enabling the brush bar section to adapt to the flooring type and the other being the normal mode.I found the “on” trigger switch to be a little awkward, particularly as you can either keep your finger pressed on it whilst you’re vacuuming or you can click another switch which will leave it permanently on. However, the location of the permanent switch is a real negative for me as I constantly found myself bumping it whilst I was vacuuming and I initially couldn’t work out why the cleaner kept stopping. This is a bad designer fault which Hoover needs to address.Whilst the brush section makes close contact with the carpet/flooring, the section isn’t as powerful as I had expected and I found myself having to re-vacuum some areas of flooring to pick up bits such as stray lengths of cotton. However, this is sometimes an issue I experience with Dyson as some hairs can often become buried in the carpet pile. The motorised pet hair attachment is easily clicked into place and most certainly lives up to its name as it made light work of collecting all of the loose fur. Manoeuvring around objects is effortless as the vacuum has two angles of 90° and 180°.A feature I love with this product, which Dyson has omitted, is that there are three LED lights on the brush section, so you can clearly see the area you are vacuuming. Another feature that I find most favourable is that it is much quieter than any other vacuum cleaner that I’ve owned so I don’t feel so guilty when vacuuming when my husband is still fast asleep in bed!Whilst my intentions for the vacuum cleaner are for it to be used and stored upstairs, in order to fully try it out and test it for the purpose of this review, I vacuumed my entire three bedroom house with no issues with the battery failing. The transparent dust cup holds a fair amount and is easily emptied and reattached. The vacuum cleaner can be wall mounted if required and the appropriate parts are included in the box.Due to the issue with the trigger switch to leave the vacuum cleaner in the on position, it loses a star, but otherwise a good product which comes with my recommendation.

I am pretty 'Old School' when it comes to vacuuming and vacuum cleaners but this one has astounded me! So many accessories! Even a spare filter! A spare battery would of been great though but still...you get a lot! It took getting used to at first as it feels a bit heavy when having to carry the motor and battery about in your hand while 'Hoovering'. But after a while, it doesn't feel like it's there anymore and seems to glide back and forth as you vacuum. The suction even seems to pull the hammer-head attachment forward. The light on the hammer-head attachment is quite handy as it shows up a lot of dirt in your path that you may have missed. Especially in the not-so-well-lit/Shadowy areas of your home. One of the niggly bits that I picked up though, is that you tend to focus on what is in the lit up area but you but kind of miss the surroundings that aren't in the lit path. However, this didn't happen too often. It's amazing the amount of dirt and dust this powerful vacuum picks up!! My Gosh...(for a cordless vacuum and all)... Pity it doesn't seem to suck anything up on the sides of the hammer-head attachment and one definitely needs to use the long nozzle attachment to suck up the dirt there... Which means extra work and possibly running out of battery charge. But I guess that's why the hammer-head attachment is so good at sucking up dirt as it seems to be vacuum-sealed to the floor/carpet for that extra strength suction. I haven't yet had the chance to use the rest of the other attachments but I want to try them out in our car and that's where most of the attachments will come in handy. I think with all the car's 'nooks and crannies' it would be ideal. I'm looking forward to that.It is best to hoover on the lower standard setting though as the higher power definitely doesn't give you enough charged-time to vacuum your entire place (unless you have a studio flat) - we have a 1-bedroom flat. It takes quite a long while for the battery to charge with it taking more than 2 and a half hours to charge up. So definitely you would need a spare charged battery ready and waiting to keep things moving. When using the hammer-head attachment, it seems to grab hold and pull in some awkward parts the loose mat/carpet if you have one, as a few times I had to switch it off and pull out the corner bit of the hall-way carpet runner but then again I suppose it is just down to how strong this attachment sucks! It isn't very noisy and although it looks really smart in terms of the look and design - will it be able to 'stand the test of time' and take 'the daily knocks' of one bumping it against furniture, doors and walls?... We all do it! It just seems so precious and a bit fragile. This is something I'm less confident about but then again it is a Hoover so maybe it will survive... I'm interested to find out.

I was in two minds about whether to buy this vacuum, I have four very hairy pets and so keeping my house pet-hair free is an absolute chore! I was using a Harry (Pet version of a Henry) but I really wanted to try a cordless - so I went for this!I am really in love to be honest. It is super stylish and very small - and man does it pack a punch! It lifts more hair from my carpets than my Harry ever did, and is much quicker and much easier to use. The cordless aspect is just amazing, it saves so much time having to faff about plugging in - with this I just grab it off its very handy wall mount (which is included, very easy to put up, and holds two accessories)then turn it on.The on switch works like a trigger and also has a knob you can turn so it's 'power on' all the time and you don't need to hold the button down. One little niggle here is that I do find I sometimes accidentally turn it off, but it's not a big deal to turn it on again. You can easily switch between power modes via a separate button, and I can tell a big difference between them - to be honest with the amount of hair in my house I do find I use it on full power all the time. The battery is pretty good - my house isn't that large (a normal 2 up - 2 down) and I find I can do a quick run round the whole house on one charge. If I'm doing a deep clean I find I will need to charge it between floors. The battery is very easy to charge, you simply plug it in. You can charge it whilst it is mounted on the wall or take the battery out and do it separately. Another small niggle here - I wish the charging cable was longer. The Hoover itself is very easy to put together and take apart, as well as switching between heads and accessories. They all use very simple buttons and clasps, very easy to figure out without having to go through the manual. The section that hold all the dust is easy to flip open (make sure you do it over a bin!) and most of the gunge will come out easily - I do find that if there has been a lot of hair it can fill up around the filter part so it won't come out just by opening the bottom, you have to un-click the whole compartment and empty it that way (niggle 3!).Overall I am very, very happy with this Hoover. I have found I am cleaning a lot more frequently as it's so easy to use, so that helps me keep on top of my house, rather than have to do one big clean at the weekends. I'd really recommend it for a relatively well-priced small, lightweight vacuum. It it wasn't for my three niggles then it would have received 5/5.

This Hoover is absolutely brilliant and overall very well thought out and designed. It's extremely flexible and agile, making it easy to get into corners and around furniture. Excellent purchase.Pros:Super lightweight. After slipping a disc a corded normal vacuum is way too difficult and heavy for me. This vacuum is so light and smooth I have no issues carrying it around the house, using it on the staircase etc.The tools. All the attachments are really easy to remove and reattach during cleaning. The upholstery attachment is fantastic for shedding carpets and cat fur. The brush on the main is removable as well which is an absolute GAMECHANGER. I'm not sure why the others don't do this, but for someone who loses as much hair as I do every few days, this has saved me so much time and effort.Suction.The suction so far seems excellent for a battery powered vac. Every few days I'm shocked as the dust coming up out of my carpets. I do need to go over the same spots a few times to get threads or visible debris up, but overall this has still exceeded my expectations.Battery.The battery detaches completely from the vac via 2 silver buttons on either side, for easy charging and portability. It takes roughly 5 hours for a complete charge. So far I've used the vacuum about 5 times and it's lasted about 30 mins per charge.Quite easy to empty via a button at the bottom of the basin, however most of the debris (esp. pet hair) gets stuck inside and does need taking apart to properly empty.Cons (minor):Some of the connections feel like they could easily break if not handled carefully. Such as the platic prongs on the battery, or the connection on the neck. The switch to hold the vacuum "on" is located in the same spot on the handle where you hold to vacuum. In a quick 5 minute whip around the house I turn it off accidentally at least 10 times. When you empty the vacuum the dust flies up covering the machine, I end up having to clean the handle, my hands, and the battery down every time. This is likely unavoidable due to the compact size, however.

We still have a Dyson animal cylinder and a Dyson handheld cordless. Due to our age and back problems we wanted to replace it with a lightweight cordless stick but didn’t fancy paying huge amounts for a Dyson. We have a big long haired dog and need to vacuum the floors daily. We wanted something we could use quickly and easily that didn't cost the earth and after reading loads of reviews on different cordless vacs decided on the Hoover. So far, we have been very pleasantly surprised. It has great suction, 2 motorised heads and good battery life. It has 2 speeds giving different levels of suction. It just effortless glides over the carpet, mats and hard floors. It also comes with 3 attachments and a spare filter. It does have some drawbacks: The vacuum is bagless just like the Dyson, and is quick and fairly easy to empty, but some of the fluff has to be removed by hand as it get stuck in the top. It feels like it is going to break when it is pulled out of the storage/stand position. The dust container is also quite small. The battery runs out fairly quickly and takes quite a while to recharge. A spare battery can be purchased but it is quite expensive. Anyway, we find the battery lasts for enough time to do what we need. Another slight niggle is the continuous hold trigger switch which is fairly flimsy and easy to flick and it then turns off.It can also be converted into a handheld quickly and comes with extra attachments. All in all its superlight and easy to use. So far we are very pleased with our purchase.

I took delivery of the H-Free 200 Pet on Friday so have been using it instead of my usual cordless cleaner over the weekend and some things it does very well, although there are some things that I'm not so impressed with. Let's start with the positives, it's very light weight and easily manoeuvres around and under furniture and those hard to reach places, it picks up incredibly well on hard floors and despite initially wondering "why" I actually like the light which makes it easy to see if you've missed something, it's easy to empty and unlike some other stick cleaners has a continuous button so you don't have to keep you figure on the trigger while you're vacuuming and it's also well balanced so stands up on it's own if for example you need to move something to clean behind it.On the negative side, it isn't that easy to connect/disconnect the accessories, I think if you have any dexterity or weakness with your hands you would find this hard, it's a shame that there is no way of knowing how much battery life is left, it simply stops working which is annoying and I am disappointed that whilst this is marketed as a pet vacuum on carpets the suction isn't strong enough to remove all hairs (I have five cats who feel it's their right to deposit their fur wherever they want), to be honest I had expected it to be a bit better on carpets than it is. Overall I think this could be a brilliant vacuum with just a few tweaks but it's not quite there yet.

Used my H-Free 200 for the first time and very impressed. The amount of dust and debris it has picked up from first use has made me feel ashamed! I have a 5 month old little boy and hes starting to crawl so need my carpets to be really clean. I also have a challenge as my hair is super long and I seem to shed loads! When he crawls he is picking up my hair in his hands so hoping over the coming month this hoover eradicates the issue. It picked up a very large volume of my hair. I then used it for a second and third time and its still finding my hair and picking it up. The ease of removing the brush and cleaning it also means my trapped hair can be removed instead of clogging the vac up.It is very lightweight and has made hoovering my skirting boards a breeze aswell. It can pivot with ease so good at getting under the bed. It comes with a handy light to see any dark places you may be hoovering. The only minor complaint I would have is that the battery life is not as advertised as mine has lasted all of 25 minutes. Looking forward to using it in my car as I live in a second floor flat so need a cordless to vac the car. It has lots of handy instruments which should make it easy. As its slimline its very convenient to store in my flat which lacks space. I have already recommended this to family and friends as both me and my husband love it.

We’ve had the hoover for nearly two weeks now and have a few pros and cons for it.The hoover is easy to manoeuvre and very lightweight, our children love to use it and they are 6 & 3. We’ve used it every day and cleaning the hard floors is much quicker. There is a great assortment of tools which change with ease to clean the stairs and sofas. Also include is a wall mount which we haven’t put up yet, mainly because the hoover stands up on its own without needing to be propped up on a mount. It is really quick to empty and clean out including the roller which does get clogged with hair but takes seconds to clear. After each use we put it back on charge, with one charge we've hoovered 3 rooms, hall and stairs. Now, on to the not so great parts. We find the hoover isn’t powerful enough on carpets, the suction doesn’t hold the brush down and it hops along the carpet. The normal suction mode isn’t great and picking up larger particles on the floor and we have resorted to using only the turbo/carpet mode. Lastly, the continuous lock is very flimsy, it doesn’t ‘lock’ in place and is easy to knock when hoovering. Overall we’ve found the hoover to be good on our hard floors and has made cleaning easier and quicker when comparing it to a pan and brush or a corded vacuum, however we still have kept our corded vacuum for cleaning our carpets.

Received my hoover and it was really easy to install did not need to use instructions at all. Love that there are so many attachments and a neat little bag to keep them in. I have found the hoover works a lot better on hard floor compared to carpet (there is a carpet button but I never noticed a difference). Picks up a lot of dust which Is shocking how much you can see with the lights on the front. It is ideal for getting under furniture due to being so slim so I could finally reach under my freestanding bath which I have never been able to fully do before. I have used the attachments on the stairs, sofas and curtains and have been happy with my results. Overall a really good product to get into every area of your house, easy to manoeuvre and get into hard to reach places. Only downfall is that I find that it does not last the 90 minutes charge that it states in the instructions. It is very slim line however so fits easily in the cupboard and handy to grab for any spillages. I love that it also included a spare filter so that one can be cleaned and dried properly without being without a hoover whilst waiting to dry. Easy to access brush head to clean also as it pops out and slides back in with no trouble. I would recommend this product over other vacuum cleaners and it is a perfect all rounder.

Hoover H-FREE 200 PETI'm currently putting this nifty cordless stick vacuum through its paces. It's still early days but my initial views are as follows:-- Packaging is good and the box isn't that heavy so could pick up in Store, Online or Click & Collect.- First and foremost, unpack the battery and set to charge, because you'll be wanting a trial run real soon.- The instruction manual has pictures and a component list, this makes putting it together quite easy.- It's an agile little number and corners well, the light is also a great thing to have. (I always did like the retro Hoover's light)- As for the tools, well there's a few, some doubling in duty, so not too many of them to get to grips with.I'm currently loving the "pump action" crevice/dusting brush. Just squeeze either side and the dusting brush slides down the barrel of the crevice tool.- Each section removes easily, so moving from floor to ceiling is as easy as pie.- Emptying the little darling is also really simple. Just remove the top section from the upright and take a little walk to the bin and it opens so easily for you.Only negative thus far is that it fills quite quickly and that if you have limited arm mobility, it is a little heavy to hold up for any length of time. That's all from me for now. :)

Great light weight cordless vacuum. We purchased this mainly to remove cat hairs from our settees. We had tried a smaller hand held vacuum and gave up on it as it was pretty useless. The best way to clean was with our corded Dyson Animal, but this is heavy and cumbersome although a great vacuum. We wanted something we could use quickly and easily that didn't cost the earth and after reading loads of reviews on different cordless vacs decided on the Hoover. We have been very pleasantly surprised. It has great suction, 2 motorised heads and good battery life. It has 2 speeds giving different levels of suction. We now use the cordless downstairs for a quick vacuum around the house as well as on the settees. It is worth noting that most of the house downstairs is a hard floor with one thick pile rug and a hallway runner. The vacuum is bagless just like the Dyson, and is quick and easy to empty. Being a Hoover spares are readily available if needed and you can buy spare batteries if needed although we find the battery lasts for enough time to do what we need. One slight niggle is the trigger hold switch which I keep catching. As far as reliability only time will tell but so far we are very pleased.

Very impressed with the Hoovers suction power, I’ve included a video to show how well it picks up. The battery lasts well and the bin is easy to empty- simply push a button and the compartment opens. In the box there are all the usual extra tools and it’s really easy to connect these. The battery requests a 24hr charge before the first use; after that it only takes 2-3 hours, there is an indicative light which is red while being charged and white when complete. The brush is easy to clean, it comes completely apart so all parts can be accessed. The cyclone part however where the dust collects is not to easy. I recently hoovered some major dust from behind a cupboard and some clumps got caught up which were tricky to remove. There may be an easier way, if anyone finds out please let me know! One thing I don’t like which is where it loses a star, is the power button. It’s like a trigger button with a switch to keep the button pressed. I am forever knocking the switch so it suddenly turns off. I will get used to holding it differently but I think it’s a bit of a design flaw to have it there? But overall I would recommend.

- I love that this is a freestanding hoover, as we have nowhere to hang it on the wall. It does make a horrible clicky noise when you put it in/out the standing mode, which makes it sound like it's breaking, but it isn't.- The suction is great (possible I'm comparing to our last hoover, which was replaced for age and crap suction!), although on the laminate floors I find that it visibly clears dust but when you wipe your finger across it there's still stuff there, so needs washing as well as hoovering. It's fine for what we need it for, but I'm not sure I'd like it if I had kids crawling around the floor.- It's very light and flexible as the complete hoover, using the hand-held feels heavier and clunkier and there's less control than if you had a nozzle on the end of a hose.- The battery life is great, I've not maxed it out yet to say how long it lasts, but I've used it on/off for a good 45mins with no problem, and the ability to put it in continuous mode is really helpful for floors.

Once unpacked I found the hoover easy to put together & to charge up. I've only used the hoover once so far on both a living room carpet & kitchen hard tiles: it's very lightweight (this was one of the crucial points for me as it needs to be light enough for my mum to use too) and easy to manoeuvre but I didn't notice much difference between the power/suction when using the 'carpet' button. I did find the mechanism button that will keep the hoover continually on a bit fiddly but I expect that I will get used to that when I've had more practice in using it. I've still to test the attachments (my next task for my mum!) and still to discover whether the actual charge time does match with the advertised time.I found the Hoover easy to empty and because of it's slim nature it's easy to store. So far I'm happy with the hoover.
