This isn't remotely as powerful as the corded Dyson it replaced. But as my mobility has deteriorated I became unable to use the big, heavy, corded Dyson anymore (in fact, the last time I used it I bashed it into my leg and dislocated my knee; which was the final straw). So I had no choice but to find a lighter, cordless vacuum that I could use safely. Money's really tight these days, so I couldn't afford to stick with Dyson and buy one of their cordless machines. After about 48 hours of browsing, reading reviews, checking prices and comparing it to my bank balance, etc: I settled on this one. Hoover do what seemed to be basically the same model but without the wall mount for about £20 cheaper(at the time of purchase); but without the wall mount I would have nowhere to put it because it doesn't free stand like my previous vacuums. The wall mount - which was 20% of the total price I paid when you compare it to the model without a wall mount - is rubbish. It's just a sheet of plastic with hooks on. You can't just drop the Hoover on the mount and have it immediately start to charge - like my Dustbuster does - because the mount is just a piece of plastic rather than a genuine charging base. Once you've put the Hoover on the hook, you then have to remember to plug it in. Something I've forgotten to do once already because I've got 13 years experience of putting my Dustbuster back where it belongs on its mount, and it starting charging instantly and automatically without me having to take any additional actions. The Hoover is light and easy to move around, which was exactly what I needed in order to not injure myself again. Like I said in paragraph one; I've had far more powerful vacuums in the past; but this will get all the dust and cat hair up eventually; even if it does take a bit longer to get there. Of course, the tank is tiny compared to my previous corded models. With having cat hair to vacuum up; it does mean I end up emptying the tank every minute or two. I would think Hoover could get away with making the tank a little bit larger without making the overall device too heavy and cumbersome to use.I like that it's quite quiet. I live in a block of flats; but I reckon if I spilled, let's say, a bag of flour in the middle of the night: I'm pretty sure I could get away with hoovering it up immediately without annoying my neighbours; which is something I definitely couldn't with my last Dyson. (Although I'd have to empty the tank of this Hoover at least 3 times to fit a spilled bag of flour through the machine because it really is that small.)Ultimately it's made vacuuming accessible again after my mobility decreased and my old vacuum became inaccessible. I live in a really small flat so have lots of nooks and crannies that I need to get a vacuum in; and of the 3 vacuums I've owned while living here, this one has been the most flexible and easiest to get into the small spaces. Frankly trying to move a big vacuum around tiny spaces is exhausting, irrespective of my deteriorating left leg. This is light, flexible, easy to move around, the battery lasts long enough to get all the cat hair up, and it stores easily in a corner. If it also had the things I wished for like a powered base that starts charging automatically as soon as you hang up the Hoover, if it had a bit more power, if it had a larger tank: Then it would probably be out of my price range. For what I paid for it, it gets the carpets clean well enough.

pleased with this hoover. its suction is very good, but please be aware that although it glides over laminate and tiled floors effortlessly. it is a bit more of a pull on carpets and more still on rugs, which I feel is an indication of how well I find it to suck up dust and debris, drawing them out of the carpet. If its a large piece of something (like a ball of hair), I find that keeping the hoover over it, usually sucks it up, for all other fine particles, just going backwards and forwards is fine. please remember that when you receive the hoover make sure to fully charge it before use. We have a three bedroom house and it manages to clean it upstairs and downstairs within the fully charge time, and I don't rush. Remember from time to time to clean out the trapped hairs and bits from the bristles from the bottom of the hoover, it has a button which allows it to be easily removed and any bits can be pulled off. My wife finds it a bit of a strain on her wrist, but she tried all the cordless ones in the shop including did the same, I change over to a different hand as I go along and so does she, which stops it putting to much strain on one hand all the time. it has a constant use clip, which is great as you don't have to keep your hand on the trigger to keep it working, but I tend to use it both ways as I go. it is however slightly more difficult to keep taking it apart when changing sections. it has red button to do this, but it can be a bit stiff, I have put graphite power into the locking mechanism and this seems to help. It took a long time for myself to research the right cordless, and I am pleased to be free of the cord, Even if this hoover was to only lasts 2 years, I would get another, just to be free to glide around the house with it, I did not realise how much I hated corded hoovers until now, My wife says she wishes we had got it sooner, as she says she has never seen me so pleased to do the hovering. Since writing the review I have decided to add a few thingsI cannot comment on the battery as mine is still going ok. when im hovering the floor and larger bits of grit and other little pieces I know are in the hovering tube, I turn the whole hoover upside down while still holding the on button, you can hear the bits fall down the tube into the collecting part, I also do this when I finish each section of hovering, otherwise even small bits can fall out, Don't expect it to pick up big bits like leaves, clean regularly and thoroughly the dust collecting parts, I also go around with a small brush to get all the dust off the insides of the dust collection sections. make sure you regularly take every bit of hair and fibres out from the hoover head, as otherwise this will stop it sucking properly. Attaching and unattaching the various parts is not easy, I used graphite powder on them and this has helped. its not good for edges so add the fine nozzle tool to the main hoover tube and go around the corners, with the main hoover tube still attached, you can do the cleaning of corners while you are standing.

OK so this may be a little too early to be sure but here goes...the hoover has just arrived (well about a hour ago) and straight out of the box I have managed to hoover the entire house. 3 bedrooms, sitting room, dining room, kitchen, hall and stairs. We have a large dog who does malt a bit but the hoover managed well with it. Did have to empty the collection bin a few times but I expected that due to the size of the bin I found doing it after every room worked well. The suction is good and it's rather quiet in comparison to my plug in Samsung hoover. The powered motor head is good I could not stop it spinning even pressing hard.It transfers well between carpet and hard floors. We where scepticalabout this as we have always had plug in hoovers apart from a dirt devil around 15 years ago which was at best rubbish so wasn't expecting much but wanted to give it a ago anyway as have heard good things about cordless.I like that the battery is removable as we where looking at the dyson but noticed that there battery is fitted inside and can not be replaced.Overall the hoover is very lightweight and we'll balanced and great for doing the whole house.Would I recommend this hoover ... YES definitely easy to use light and actually makes hoovering enjoyable.. I'm currently sat waiting for it to charge so I can hoover my car and anything else I can find to use it on.06/09/2017Quick update my hoover started to play up today the powered head would not work when titled and had to be kept perfectly straight for it to stay powered. I rang amazon and without quibble they are sending me a replacement tommorow so once again highly recommend product and service too

With two youngish children, a big shaggy dog and a husband who makes more mess than the other three put together, I do a lot of vacuuming! I have used the smiley faced vacuum for the last 20 years or so, but wanted something quick and easy just to keep on top of things without always having to get the big one out, drag it around, plug it in etc etc. I had bought another hand held cordless (the one that accompanies the origional cordless vacuum) that didn't have the stick and floor tool, but was ok for dusting and getting cobwebs off the ceiling. I saw this Hoover one for less than half price in Argos, so decided to give it a try. I am so impressed by it! Instead of just using it for the odd bit of mess,i have found i am using this one all the time instead of my large hoover. It has enough power to vacuum a large 5 Bedroom bungalow throughout each room and also go around the edge of the ceilings. The little bits that my other cordless would try and suck up, then spit back out when switched off, are no problem for the Hoover cordless. I have hard floors thoughout the house so cant really say what it would be like on carpets, but it seems to manage the rugs ok. I really like the fact that it has a button to run make it run permanently without having to hold the switch like other makes, I found my finger used to ache if I had been using my other one for a long time. The filter is very easy to get to and the waste is easy to empty. This is a well designed machine, that I could no longer live without. Very pleased.

First the downside, I paid £114.99 and took delivery on Tuesday, the following day I saw the same Hoover in my local B&M store for £99.99.That said this is a really good little Hoover, It's the first cordless, handheld Hoover that we have owned and it's so much easier not having to unwind cables then twist your back finding plug sockets that are usually behind furniture or out of the way. It's light and easy to handle, it has good suction and the tools that come with it do a good job.We have laminate floors, tiled floors and shaggy rugs downstairs. I found it easy to Hoover underneath our sofas which stand on 4 inch legs allowing room to access underneath. We have a coal fire in our living room which can cause a mess on our shaggy rug but the power nozzle picks up small debris that falls off the hearth into the pile of the rug. Upstairs we have short pile carpets in the bedrooms and lino in the bathroom, this little Hoover does a good job on all these surfaces. I found it perfect for the stairs using the crevice tool for the corners then the 2 in dusting tool for the treads and risers. The battery lasts long enough to Hoover through the whole house so no problems there. All in all a good product at a fair price, I much prefer it to our G Tech K9 which was far more expensive , comes with no tools and is no good on stairs or under furniture. However, my advice is to shop around.

hi i bought this because it is made by hoover and 1/2 the price of a dyson . £117 and at time of review £100 . it is well made in design and substantial in all it's parts . the main brush head is electric , the small brush detaches to reveal a sort of hair removal finish with greater suction and all parts click fit to the main unit without the tube . the wall mount is just a hook and tool holder so the main unit can be easily stored and charged on a shelf . don't try to store it with tube and roller brush attached as it is likely to roll away and possibly crack ! i think my elderly mother would have a preferred a cordless upright which is just as easy to use and safer .the dust collector is really quite small on all of this design . spares include a battery and washable filters so i will be looking on amazon in due course for after market sales partic.a battery which is very easily removed . the main filter may puzzle u . when clean , remove the dust can , hold the unit with left hand and solid cone above gauze with right and turn to the left to unlock !!! it is a tight fit !!! the battery is 22 v , 2 ah and charges red then blue when full ; being li on , it does not fade in use or when stored ; the plug is three pin uk not removable and connects directly to the main unit . if this is really your thing , i recommend it .

Reading the reviews I didn't really expect much from this Hoover but as it was cheap enough from Amazon Warehouse I thought I would give it a go. So far I haven't had any issues with it, hoovers wooden and tiled floors well but struggles going forward on a carpet with a bit of a pile but on the back pull it works fine. Stair cleaning has become alot easier and it works well on a flat (no pile) carpet. The brushes in the head need regular cleaning as alot of fur seems to get stuck in it but that's easy enough as the brush comes out easily. I can manage to hoover the house (6 rooms, 2 halls and the stairs) easily on a single charge. It is never going to replace a mains hoover but for running over the house daily it works well but I will still use the main hoover on the rugs and carpets once a week. A lot of complaints seem to be about it cutting out but from what I gather it's down to poor maintenance, because the brush head is powered it shuts down when it too full of hair/fur. Most of the people who have complained have said it works no bother with the other attachments when they do have a problem so I assume that's the issue. All the filters can been cleaned out and are reusable. So far I'm happy with it.

Originally saw this in my local Tesco but they were sold out, I then searched on here and found it in the sale. Reviews were good and I managed to try it out in Tesco (display model) for size and weight which I was very pleased with. I suffer with arthritis so weight and changing of tools etc was a concern but I had no issues there. Very easy to manoeuvre around the furniture, change tools and emptying bin all very easy. I have dogs and cats in the house so picks up the hairs no problem at all. We have one large rug on wooden flooring and the hoover goes straight from the rug onto the flooring with no problem at all, very useful doing the stairs and ideal for the car, comes with three attachments.Very easy to fit to wall, one small bracket and the hoover just hooks onto it with a small connection for the charge which is a bit like a mobile phone charger! Empties easy and charges quickly also comes with washable filters.Obviously with these cordless hoovers the bin is quite small so you do need to empty it more but I didn't find this a problem.Overall I was extremely happy with this hoover cordless and would recommend to anyone with joint problems like myself.

I have found this Hoover to be fantastic. It’s light, it’s simple, it’s amazingly powerful, the charge lasts ages and watching the little clear plastic box fill with dirt that was in your room moments ago is addictive. Before I bought, I read reviews, particularly from people claiming that it stops after a short time. Well, yes it does do that but it’s not a fault. The big main floor head has a rotating brush and if that gets hair or fibres wrapped around it and isn’t rotating easily the whole unit stops and you need to clear it. That’s a very very simple process and usually takes a few seconds but if the thing is tangled in something, it snaps out with two clearly marked easy to slide holders.Free it up and your Hoover starts instantly. Don’t believe me? Try swapping to a simple nozzle head and it won’t stop at all. I think it’s brilliant. It’s hanging on the wall charging all the time with its accessories on the bracket ready to grab for a two minute run around. Unless you are already some home cleaning fiend who loves to vacuum, your home will definitely end up much cleaner with this handy simple and easy and light weight solution.

Seems great. Feels a little delicate in the hand, especially the attachable bits, so family have been instructed to treat with care. Haven't yet hung up the bracket, which is when it will feel extra convenient to use, I anticipate. Expected it to feel a little lighter or more comfortable in the hand and to be more powerful. The lesser power and manoeuvrability than anticipated, compared to a much older traditional style (ie, not cyclonic) small hand held vacuum cleaner that this is replacing, is a feeling I had when using the machine without any attachments or its tube. Once the rotating brush head is on then this seems to perform quite adequately. The advantages of this one over my older one is that not only does the battery last much longer but it also doesn't gradually get weaker and weaker. Also, the accessories mean that for day to day use this can be used in place of my big vacuum cleaner, covering large spaces, not just the little corners that the old hand-held could cope with.

Used this for several months now.Very happy with the Hoover, convenient and light to use. I have a two bedroomed flat, kitchen and lounge. The battery always does at least two hooverings. Very handy for doing the wall/ceiling areas and cobweb corner.Easy to empty and the cut out warning to alert you to empty the container is a boon (I thought it was the battery running down initially)The desigers could have done better on the ergonomics of the handle, it does get a little uncomfortable after a few minutes and I have to change grip frequently. There is a 'lock on feature' also which is useful.I haven't used it as a mini-handheld yet.The hanger is effective,an improvement would be to incorporate somewhere to put the charging lead.Going round the carpets with a full sized Dyson after using the Hoover demonstrates that there is still dirt to be removed. Before doing this I was intending on doing away with the full sized model, but it is still required for a more thorough job.

I have wanted a cordless vacuum for a long time now I have been choosing between the Dyson V6 and the Dyson V8 , The Dyson V8 being the winner, then I decided I couldn't justify that amount of money on a cleaner! So I started researching alternatives .The Hoover freedom stick seemed to do everything that the Dyson V8 did with the exception that the battery doesn't last quite long. ( 25 minutes compared to 40 minutes I think)So I ordered the Hoover, I haven't been disappointed, it is a brilliant little cleaner , I can't compare it to the Dyson but I can't imagine the Dyson does anything different! I can hoover through my three bedroom bungalow twice Thoroughly before it needs recharging ,I have two dogs as well.It does need emptying after every clean but it is so easy to do so .Since I've had this cleaner I have not got my large upright Dyson out once !!!I would highly recommend this cleaner as a cheaper alternative to the Dyson .

What can I say, this cleaner is superb! It's made vacuuming a pleasure instead of a chore. I used to hate vacuuming the stairs or moving my old heavy cleaner from room to room.It looks good, the bracket to hang the cleaner is great. I've hung it up in my cupboard under the stairs. If anyone is worried about hanging it on a plasterboard wall, I would suggest you use some of these fixings (M4 x 38mm HEAVY DUTY METAL PLASTERBOARD CAVITY WALL FIXINGS ANCHORS PLUGS (10)). They were bought from Amazon and only cost £1.85 for 10. They are easy to fit and easily hold the weight of the cleaner. The suction is far better than I thought. Easily on a par with my old corded cleaner and good enough for me,in a small 3 bedroom house, to use as my main cleaner.Battery life is good although of course be prepared to charge it quite regularly. For me though, this small compromise is well worth it.I would highly recommend this cleaner.

I did so much looking around and reading reviews for all the cordless vacuum cleaners before I took the plunge. We did not want a Dyson v6 or V8 as this is for our static caravan which we currently use a full upright for, but it is just too big so wanted something lighter and easier for this type of environment. This is perfect and so far pick up has been really good. So easy to use especially if you just want to clean up as you go. charge time was around 5 hours before light showed as charged.very easy to empty and pull out all filters for cleaning. Changing tools is simple, you get a powered brush head with the stick, a crevice tool and a brush which you can remove the brush on to reveal a had for furniture etc. There is also a wall mount so you can hang all up. The battery has to be charges whilst attached to the hoover. To sum up very light, easy to use and so far does an excellent job.

Overall I'm pleased with the purchase. Our house is about 2500 sq ft and if I sped around it I can get all the downstairs done in 1 charge. Light and well balanced to hold. Doesn't suck tight to the floor so wondered how much suction it actually has but it does appear to suck up plenty of crud?! Good for going under seats etc as head goes completely flat which is great. Obviously needs frequent emptying as you would expect. Easy to empty into bin but you do need to delegate a thin knife or equivalent for hooking the fluff out of the upper part of the chamber. This fact plus the slightly limited functioning time (cuts out when battery low giving the illusion that it has broken down, just to warn you)is why I dropped one star but overall I like it. I have several pets and hoover once a week at best so it is getting a true test! Only owned it a month though so can't comment on its longevity...
