I bought this phone to replace a BT one I'd had for years. I rarely use my land line as it's usually cold callers who ring it, however, recently, my partner suffered from a stroke, so she lost the ability to use the phone. I went for this one particularly for the speed dial function, I programmed my mobile number into it so that all my partner has to do its press and hold a certain number and it will ring my mobile! Great! It gives me some peace of mind that she only has to press one button if she gets into difficulty and I will be alerted and can help her. I like the calming ring tone too, not a harsh tone like the BT one. Also, one touch of a button tells me if I have any messages and I recorded my own message- not like BT,

Bought as replacement for an ageing answer phone that was beginning to misbehave . I liked the clear screen display and audio with volume control . The menu system was fine once I became familiar with the settings for the functions I required . I found the Customer reviews for this unit helpful but add a couple of points :-1) Initial charge /discharge to condition batteries - this takes of the order of 100 hours handbook doesn't mention this .2) Shortcut key(s) each handset programmed separately, does not appear to be automatically transferred with the phone book .

Call quality very good. Not the easiest to set up, but that was because I have True Call installed with an answering machine but otherwise fine. Instructions could be clearer... my eyesight isn't brilliant and print very small so had to use an online manual. However when a call is received only the main reciever rings so if in back room could miss a call as the unit there does not ring. For some strange reason it also rings at 1am each morning, on a non base unit receiver though no call is shown as being received or shown on 1471. Very odd.

My brother bought this phone for our 87 year old mother. It has transformed her ability to hear a phone conversation. She is hard of hearing, and the clarity of the sound is outstanding. it is also stable and crackle free. I just gave her the basic operating run down (when to press the green button, when to press red button). I disabled the answerphone as she has BT call minder. This will definitely be my next phone when our 20+ year old Panasonics bite the dust.

Bought to replace Panasonic. Works OK, but instructions not too clear. My main problem is that it appears to answer in hands free all the time. I can't see where I can alter this. Its rather annoying especially when the default speaker volume appears to be maximum. I have now set this to the lowest level, but would prefer the speaker to be off.There is plenty of volume in the handset earpiece and the ringer.

Bought as a gift, arrived quickly, well packed, looks smart. I will update once person has it charged and set up, after he has done, I will update.UPDATE: person it was bought for loves it, says its really easy to set up, screen and buttons light up which is good, especially in low light, it can hold up to 100 numbers, also answering machine which is great. Person gives 5 stars

After being sent the wrong item and receiving the refund I purchased again and this time the correct phone was sent. The Which review has all the detail. It is easy to set up and perfect for a simple home phone with answer machine. One point that is not promoted too well is that each handset base is wall mountable if required. Many phones do not have wall mounts.

Good quality and simple to use set of handsets. The screen is larger and clearer than the earlier models but operationally it is very similar. The answerphone messages can be listened to either from the main base or one of the handsets.The battery life and range is very good and it is simple to copy contacts from one handset to the other.

Good value cordless phone. Very easy to use and set up. The charger to the base is a bit short hence a star deducted as it limits where I can place the phone base but in theory you can charge the phone and leave it where you want any way until it’s battery runs out. A good purchase that looks and functions fine. Recommended if on a budget.

Ordered it one evening and the day after it had dropped by £8, quickly cancelled and re-ordered! Extremely clear sound, very loud on speaker, and as I am a little deaf this helps no end. Would have given it 5 stars, but as is common now, the instructions leave a lot to be desired; why can't people write clear instructions?

These phones are excellent for the price. They are quick to set up, simple to use and in a time when landlines are almost redundant they do everything we need. My only complaint would be when hands free sometimes the person on the other end of the line struggles to hear you clearly (although you can always hear them).

Great phones and good sound quality. Fast delivery too. When the phones arrived everything was fine except after a few days I found the answer machine wasn't working. Emailed the seller and a replacement was in the post. Received replacement in 2 days and the replacement is working perfectly. Great quality phones.

I am pleased with this purchase; these phones work much better than the old ones they replace. I haven't tried to exploit all the facilities (which are many!), but all of the obvious things were easy to set up, and the signal is strong around the house, in spite of think stone walls. Delivery was fine and on time.

Only had the phone a day but pleased with quality, nd sound. instructions are very confusing and found doing things frustrating as the instructions didn't match the objective. My last phones had bright lights on the handsets which were intrusive as next to the bed, these are lovely as no lights to disturb sleep.

Easy to set up, looks good and nice and clear when making calls. I got these for my mum so she could have phones in various rooms around the house and she is very pleased with them. I have used a Gigaset phone in my home office for years and other than a couple of replacement batteries I cannot fault it.
